Come for the Raifus, Stay for the Plot: Girls' Frontline - Baking Time

Just started, I can see reasonable depth in the mechanics which is quite nice, with the various formation positioning.

Also 38622, Sighted

Should be friend ID so code me up

Is there any advantage to sacrificing leveled units in the factory upgrade? I've only done it in the tutorial, and it didn't appear to do anything.

Me: well, I've got the combat sims to level up M4A1, at least it's only one person...
*spends all sim power*
Me: Whoo, now she's level 25! And my HMGs have turned into meatgrinders!
Game: HERE HAVE AN SMG WITH FLASHBANGS HERE HAVE TWO SV-98S HERE HAVE AN SVD HERE HAVE A SPRINGFIELD
Me: AAAAAAAAAA-

I can literally build an all-rifle echelon now what even happened

So, gonna be honest here: I tried the game and it was just... meh. It's really just a KanColle-clone, but with guns instead. There are minor differences here and there, primarily in player agency for the mission segments, but overall it's basically the same in principle and gameplay-loop. And maybe I've been spoiled, but I had expected a voice-acted story segment, or at least one in the intro. Considering how the story is done even more simply than GBF and FGO, they really should have some voice acting in it. Lots of CGs, though, but that's kinda standard these days. And to its credits, it managed to nail the tone to its intro right... but since it lets up for the sake of the tutorials right after that, the momentum is lost. And the girls are just kind of... ehh. It's not bad, but I didn't feel anything distinctive from them, even Azur Lane did better in that regards IMO.

That's what I felt from it anyways. I might be wrong or you might have a different experience with it. And that's cool and all, but I just really wasn't impressed by it that I've already uninstalled it in just a day. I've held longer with Memoria Fréesé (granted, that's because I was hoping that the bug gets fixed).

So I checked out the EN version for funsies. Maybe I got so used to the UI of the Chinese version that it looked weird to me.

As it turns out, I can't part with the base I have over the other version so I have both the English and Chinese versions. Hopefully the Chinese version would just have the toggle for English there.

I hope you guys are enjoying the game.

Yes, that's a triple NTW, why do you ask?

Right now, the only bottleneck I have are Cores for Dummy-linking 4- or 5-star girls. Which is probably intentional, because otherwise the curbstomp would be real.

For those who also play on the CN server, there's a 2nd Anniversary 7-day login streak event. On the seventh day you will get a token which can be exchanged for a free *5 T-Doll of your choice.

The choice of free *5 T-doll is listed thus:

>trawling factory production trying to get 3*+ pistols to disassemble for cores
>keep getting 2*
>finally get something >30min
>check time listing
>'...shit it's going to be IDW again isn't it'
>it's fucking 5* grizzly
>really good buff + layout + ability
me: fuck

the flaw with this cunning plan is somewhat self evident

(also is there a special recipe or something for getting armour piercing rounds because I cannot night battle and all I keep getting is exos and scopes...)

Negev is my only 5* so far, from a lucky production. Having used all my cores to 3x her she now fucking destroys most things.

Also got famas and M1918 as 4*s on top of welfare-chan

Thought I'd give this a try since I saw this thread.

So how do you get tokens for the furniture gacha thing?

...This looks fun. I used to play Kancolle and do currently play FGO daily, so this is right up my alley. What are these emulators that people are talking about though?

Android Emulators. Emulators that emulate the functions of a Android based phone. It's useful if you want to play Android based games but doesn't have the phone that can stand the game or simply want to play Android based FPS/TPS/PUBG knockoff/anything shooty with mouse and keyboard.

...zero equipment contracts left, 43 equip items built, not a single drop of AP ammo.

SO HOW'S NIGHT BATTLE I WOULDN'T BLOODY KNOW BUT HERE HAVE LIKE A MILLION EXOS...

Honestly I just roll 10/10/10/10 on equipment, it works kinda.

Somehow my experience with CN seems to have been more OP, or maybe I jist got licky, because there was the time I kept rollong 9A-91 intil i had her x5 with like, 7 dupes. Otoh i didn't mind because 9A-91 is good tier and my GF waifu.

It's too bad you can't transfer over CN but that would be OP as all hell. Goodbye my 26k combat squad T_T

It's probably because there are just more 4/5-star T-Dolls.
So did I. 43 times.

I had more luck rare pistol fishing in the t-doll factory for cores than just... getting AP ammo.
Welcome to resource management games! You'll face similar problems in KanColle.
