We should look at the chains that the demon was bound in. The metal managed to hold it somehow, so if we could replicate it, we may be able to seal Ulgoran away once more.

Damn, suddenly daemons happened.
Full immediate magical study for anti daemon magic along with a small force to hopefully neutralize or delay the creature until we have more info.
Keep working towards another half occupied province and use the diplo hero to formalize relations with the Federation.

There is no more reason to do this. The quest was replaced.

Keep working towards another half occupied province and use the diplo hero to formalize relations with the Federation.
I agree on the idea of a diplomatic expedition to the Urthdysh, but for a different reason. The Federation is unmatched when it comes to magic and if anything can defeat Ulgoran, it's magic. The Urthdysh's aid will be invaluable.

The chains that bound Ulgoran away are very important. We should study what they were made out of so we can replicate it and hopefully use it against him. The Urthdysh are the best at magic so their help would be invaluable to defeating Ulgoran.

We have thousands of warriors. More won't help in defeating Ulgoran. Please stop voting to get more sacred warriors.

We unchained him. He's asking who sealed him away in the first place.

Where are you getting two province actions from?
It would be another action and 1 other province action.
Plus, you would need two actions to fill it up to that point, so your vote doesn't even net us said actions.
I stand corrected on thee number of actions.
True but it is working towards it.
I think you misread my comment. Or else could you say what chapter we did that in because I doubt I'd have so completely forgotten that.
I did sorry.

Another action and another two province actions is a perfectly good reason.

You would only get an additional province action and it would take to more points of settlements.

@Oshha any clue who/what chained ungolran?

Only something that had access to unknown metals and probably predates Arthwyd civilisation. You don't know anything else.

until the actual daemon that's impervious to bronze
It isn't impervious to bronze.
bronze weapons were barely enough to hurt it

Bronze still works on it apparently, so studying the metal isn't needed. Still, studying magic and getting the premier magic guys on board are things that we should do. And training more warriors on top of the thousands we already have still won't help beat Ulgoran.

But that's a completely new type of metal, possibly Iron (cold iron is often a thing that's effective against the super-natural in fantasy, or this is possibly just a inherently magical metal. Either way, significant potential to be totally super duper important. So I'm definitely voting to have us do study metal. I want metal that can bind demons, especially if there are more of these things, and there are bound to be more.

Guys, please, let's wait until the daemon is dead first. This is a maximum priority thing.
I agree that it is, but we also have 5 actions. We can probably afford to have a secondary set to getting a settlement done.

I agree that we should study it, but not right now. Next turn, after the demon has been dealt with.

This is not a situation we should gamble a probably on. This needs to be taken absolutely seriously and with complete commitment.

What makes you so sure that we'll be able to? I'm extremely worried that if we don't study metal NOW, we won't have the option because we won't have the narrative reason to study it. If we study metal this turn, its almost certainly going to be that fancy new metal we found that held the demon back, if we study metal after we've killed the demon, then we just don't have nearly the reasons for studying it.

We kinda will have reason to study it. I mean, our people aren't idiots. They'll be interested in the metal that held back a demon, if at least to make sure they have a way of fighting any demons that show up in the future.

And really, please, not putting all our effort in beating the demon is a really bad idea. Please don't vote for a new settlement this turn. The demon takes absolute priority.

Ulgoran? He sounds like a centaur of sorts to me, but I also note he was wailing on Catseyes, not Catclaws. That might make a difference in terms of fighting the beast.
I DO however, think training more warriors is a good idea-less because we ACTUALLY need it to deal with one foe, but more because a concerted push could lead to making improvements in our training or general military tactics.

Please cut down your vote. A couple of votes ago we had a guy who voted for a bunch of things and it made reading things a pain, since you had to scroll a lot to get through the spammed votes. Just common courtesy.
