Alright, I have an idea,

Basically, the idea is that under the guise of "simply sharing information" we would start to send Missionaries/begin the conversion process. @Oshha, is this possible?

Oshha doesn't do write ins
 
Any missionary actions should wait until after we become friendly with them, which we should do by giving farming and law. If you want to convert them ASAP, vote for farming+law, because with a Diplo hero around, it's the best, quickest, and easiest way to get on friendly terms with the Urthdysh.

I already had law, but sure. Just added farming too.

in addition to the write-ins thing... they almost assuredly already know about the Goddesses.

I don't think Wyrn had anything to do with it - it was just by chance that factors fell into play.

Well, this does mean that it's even more likely that if we try to convert their religion/culture that Urthryn won't stand in the way. She is in love with Arthryn, after all. She wants for our two peoples to grow closer.

Still, this all could be premature. This was said on the Discord after all, and things are only final when said in the thread. So, @Oshha, are you only thinking of this or has it already been rolled/is canon?

Because if it is, I'm also all for integration.

-Wyrn had been busy in mortal avatar form in the Urthyrn border lands recently. We know this from some of the sidestories, she's been traveling all over our known world for mysterious reasons(and getting laid a lot).
-This particular stunt strongly resembles the catgirls stunt, the awakening of the All Seeress, the boobification of the pantheon, the mess with Evalyn. This is not Wyrn's first rodeo.
-Gods CAN resist being changed if they are active. However as Urth botched her ascension, she spent a period of time sort-of-not-existing, where she cannot take actions. This is approximately a mortal generation.
--Further proof is that while Arthryn is largely immutable, she WAS changed by belief in the time between her mortal death and deification as the two became one.

Thus allowing Wyrn a whole lifetime, to recontextualize all the stories. All the stories exist and their core is unchanged, but she implied motivations and emotions not explicitly stated in the historical tellings.
 
I think we should Explore Lands in the Sunrise Mountains next turn. We've got one faction who'll give us a mine for free if we discover a mine location, and another faction that will reward us for making a mine. That's a rare kind of synergy right there. Copper and tin will give our civilisation greater access to metal, which will increase productivity and metal-related innovation, while gold and silver will take us closer towards developing currency.

It's a nice combo, and I find no reasons not to pursue it, but at the time I dislike the idea of being slaves to faction goals instead of pursuing player desire.

I myself would like to see at least a secondary build boat action to continue the effort of unlocking dock infrastructure so that we can ready ourselves for exploring the sea.

Anyway, don't forget that we have a library megaproject to do. Since it potentially require culture, we may need to do venerate.

The library will probably only take a Main thanks to Rush Builders, so that's not too big, so that's one Main and one Secondary, with a mandatory Secondary for Settle Land, leaving us one Secondary.

And to be honest you have a point. Faction goals are nice but there's other stuff to do, like building up our infrastructure, especially since the provinces don't seem that intent on doing roads. One faction I think we should continue pursuing is Farmers, since they have really low faction power and need the help.

On boats, I think we should save that for another turn. The description says that Additional Effects is only for a Main, so to get to dock infrastructure we'll need to do Main Build Boats. With four out of five Secondary actions locked in, we won't have enough for Main Build Boats. I don't think we should do Explore Lands either, mind. We do still have a bunch of infrastructure to do, after all.

Actually Wyrn had nothing to do with it. She is a Arthwyd goddess while this was done by the Daughters of Urthryn beyond Wyrn's influence.

First of all, no write-ins are allowed. Secondly, no. You will need to trade tech. If you want to send missionaries, wait until you get that action and then use it.

@Oshha what are the Caradysh and Forluc thoughts on incest?

Forluc outlaw it while the Caradysh are indifferent, but none of the Daughters of Urthryn will have sex with each other and consider incest to be icky and weird.

Can I convince you to add giving them knowledge of farming to your vote? Giving them both farming and laws will make them like us more, which combos well with our Diplo hero.

Not particularly pertinent at this moment (seriously, it isn't, it's inspired by a post thinking if we should start a war between our neighbours), but still a quote that we should always endeavour to keep in mind.

Upon hearing this, the king makes sure to note to someone that something saying "Don't be dicks to your neighbours or they will pay you back at the worst possible moment" is enshrined into the library being built in the Sacred Forest somewhere. While past generations of kings have more or less understood this, it seems a particularly valuable lesson to point out. Neighbours don't necessarily remember when you help, but they definitely know how to hold a grudge.

If we send the Foresters missionaries, will that give Wryn an in to intercede with the Daughters of Urthryn?
