And why this problem with fuinjutsu? It's a very useful addition to any fighting style and with some work allows the creation of useful equipment such as explosive notes, scrolls used for carying stuff and can be used to secure stuff. It may even allow to imrove armor and weapons.

The explossives alone would make it useful. And you don't need to know how to draw them to use them.But making them is a huge force multiplier for any team.
 
My dream is for a Naruto quest to have a focus of Puppets with secondary with fuin and genjutsu.
 
I find it interesting that most people are focusing on the Fuinjutsu part of magician rather than the sleight of hand part. Whilst Fuinjutsu might have more notoriety in the fanbase I'm much more interested to play with a more misdirection and sleight of hand focused build. Taking his opponent's focus and expectations and playing with them was always something Naruto did, for instance the first Zabuza fight or the very end of Naruto vs Neji and that I think might be really interesting to use.
 
As a said, fuin is a force multiplier. And I agree sleight of hand should be a big part of our fighting style. We should turn the whole "looking underneath the underneath" to our advantage and leave our foes so confused that they don#t even know that we walked away with their whole mansion.

Then why isn't every ninja on the fucking planet making their own seals? That is one pf the many things of the fandom I downright despise with a burning passion. Along with the fact everyone and their grandmother's SIs/OCs/Narutos are capable of producing black holes, their own hyperbolic time chambers, jutsu no sells, the Flying Thunder God seal, and a chakra seal to increase their chakra by ten times at least along with a chakra draining/sealing seal.

All in a single month.

That#s because most of them are PTSD cases with severe ADHD and just don't take the time needed to invest into fuinjutsu because training to fight takes all their time. But, Naruto has or will have no problem with time, because, he as one of the few can be in several places at the same time through the application of a bit of chakra.
 
The problem with fuinjutsu is that it's an Art. You can study art, but if you can't draw then it's no use to you. It also takes a lot of time, money, and precision because one tiny error and you have useless seal.

I am 100% certain Shadow Clones do not, in fact, help with physical aspects of training. That probably includes drawing. Also, Naruto does not read. Period. If he did, he might have not been considered a total idiot.
 
I honestly chose magician for slight of hand, because a Joseph Jostar team comp sounded very fun to me.

Exactly, time that, on a battlefield, you don't have. Most of Minato's/Tobirama's/the Sennin's seals are pre-made and they only get away with that because they've spent decades refining a single formula into one god-mode gadget. Naruto hasn't had that yet.

This is just unfair, two out of his three class advancements are extremelly technical-based classes, only Gladiator is physical-based.
 
Naruto always felt like he suffered for 'bored, not stupid'. The reason why he did so poorly in the academy was because it was too boring to hold his attention. Seals on the other hand, he'll probably find awesome enough to push through any boring parts. And with Shadow Clones and Gamer powers, he could probably power level to the really awesome stuff (especially if his Uzumaki blood gives him some kind of bonus to fuinjutsu EXP)

Traps are just pranks that are deadly. And Naruto has shown himself an affinity with pranks. So at the very least there's that.

You'd be surprised. Many people find certain things interesting, but get bored from the basics because it's the advanced stuff that's interesting.

Also, if my memory serves me correctly, was it not Naruto who called Chakra, Catra or something stupid like that?
 
Naruto had a lot of issues going on that are known to negatively affect a child's ability to learn. But considering how things ended up for him, I disagree that he's actually an unintelligent person. Also, teachers letting bias affect them happens fairly often and not in some super obvious fanfic exaggeration way. There's also the fact that Naruto has to be willing to work with, let's say Iruka, instead of ditching to relieve stress by pranking or to screw around with his kinda sorta friends.

Adolescent depression presents itself very similarly to ADHD and isn't that badly a fit tbh. Sasuke is poster child for all sorts of things in addition to pstd, Kakashi is...

Sakura is the most well adjusted person on this team, and she has repressed self-esteem issues from childhood bullying.

You make some good points. But I'd also like to point out;

Naruto: attention whore dumbass who is unhealthily attached to those he considers friends, to a lethal degree, and possibly minor narcissism.

Sasuke: Single minded obsession with revenge, psychopath, ptsd, and probably some minor narcissism.

Sakura: In love with Sasuke, to a lethal, obsessive degree. And bullying issues, along with being abusive to Naruto.

These are massively overexaggerated carictures of Team 7. I'll admit; they're flawed people, but not to this extent.

You sure about that? I admit, I may be slightly wrong with beginning of series Sasuke being single minded focused on revenge, but I think that I made good points on their flaws.

Especially on Sakura. Whom, if I remember correctly, asked Sasuke to take her with him when he was leaving the village to go to Orochimaru.

That exaggeration in fanfic things I mentioned, you're doing it along with over simplification. I know I joke about Naruto having yandere vibes but Sakura? Lethal obsessive degree? Fam, things do not exist in a vacuum. Taking traditional Japanese gag humor and shoving it into the forefront of a character is rather absurd.

Sasuke's single minded thing/psychopathy only really got running after Orochimaru mind fucked him too. Before that is was, again, Japanese cultural stuff. Family honor is soooorta a big deal over thing and Naruto has a lot of Japanese Culture/Folklore stuff in it that the western fanbase just doesn't quite gronk.

TBH I am not sure how to constructive respond to this, as I've only been awake for an hour or so. But lets put it this way, if a current day man in Japan were to be found out to have a bastard child his life would be totally ruined. To say nothing of how they treat actual orphans or single mothers. It's 100% fucked and Naruto is extremely lucky.

If you want to ruin any remaining idolization of Japan from your weaboo phase or general childhood fantasies, go look up child rights/welfare or the criminal justice system.

An example; Persona 5's Akechi Goro gets smashed by the localization because he's a character that makes MUCH more sense when you understand the context of him. Context that depends on being Japanese or knowing a lot of Japan. Take everything bad you know about America's mental health stigma, illegitimacy stigma, the shittiness of orphanages and foster care, etc; ramp it up. Orphans in particular are called throw away children.

All those sad anime kids you think have unrealisticly horrible backgrounds? HHHHaaaaa /wheeze/

That's not even starting on animal rights.

If we are going to seriously try to label mental problems on fictional characters, we can't just choose to ignore certain parts because comic relief.

And yes, lethal obsessive degree, she went off to kill him. By herself. Lethal degree.

And bluntly speaking, taking away the whole prophesy thing and plot armor, yes, Naruto is a dumbass and an attention whore. Reminder that he wanted to be Hokage to get people's attention and respect. If that isn't ultimately a sign of being starved for attention, I don't know what is. And him not having an interest in learning doesn't stop the fact he is a dumbass. An overly naive dumbass. Reminder he went to go fight someone who flattened an entire village and killed Jiraiya by himself. If that isn't stupidity, I don't know what is.

Of course, I'm focusing on their negative aspects. They have good aspects as well, except for maybe Part 1 Sakura. Actually, speaking of Part 1 Sakura, she's a dumbass too!
