[X] [X] [X] How about going to that public conference? Over the past week you've seen a large stage being set up around the center of the city.
Honestly a pretty tough call to choose which other action to take (I thought the conference would be two actions, lol). Alas, I feel that helping the clearing efforts is going to be our best shot at gathering allies for the next adventures. Then next turn...I feel that we should go in a adventure in the following 2-3 turns.

Allowing the displaced Mobians to go back home sound important.

As Romance said, three actions, but I recon that this is a very time-consuming action. On the other hand, it can be very helpful in a lot of ways.
That said...yeah, right now at the start of the quest action economy is going to be a bit tough to manage. Like, we need to use all of our actions to go in an adventure, meaning that we need to keep in mind when to jump. I suppose that there is a way for us to increase the number of things we can do in a same turn, but, judging by the inspiration of Romance, it's either linked to our IQ stat...or will be earned through time. Or maybe we stay at four actions, but I found this option the least likely.

For all people going for actions other than the conference, please consider:
-While it is a pressing issue for us to clear the people's homes, we only have one turn to do the interview. Sure, we are not in for the fame or all, but this is an opportunity to know more people -and knowing the mayors of the Islands seems like a big deal in the way forward.
-We can, depending in how things go, use this to help accel the clearing of the island. Remember, there is already a movement to start clearing the islands. A few words from our mouth, and we can further advance those efforts.
-And, this is a bit more of a selfish wish, but...I really want to start forming the Freedom Fighters. Like, we have some of the centerpieces of the movement in other continuities here, we only need to start gathering the forces. Maybe at least a proto-FF.
We can clear Scrap Brain next turn. We can't do the conference next turn. Please, think about that.

Still need to finish catching up, got out of this for a while, but the conference is non-optional for me and this is the other action I'd choose.

Visiting that conference could let the People know that there is someone there that's willing to save them, so I do think we should attend it.

You can't help but take in the sights of this city, though looking a tiny bit worse for wear since the last time you were here. Probably due to all the Badniks that are still roaming about in this city.
After a while of running, you find a batch. You crack your knuckles, ready to get started on the beat-down.

[X] [X] [X] How about going to that public conference? Over the past week you've seen a large stage being set up around the center of the city.
You can't help but feel blown-away by everything happening around you. With the stage being set up in the middle of the city, which is a park-like area that contrasts against the rest of the Zone. Workers coming in and out, loading and offloading within these huge vehicles called 'trucks'. Mobians of all ages and sizes coming to gawk from time to time. Food stalls being set up. Rides and other festivities being planted all about. At first, when you heard about this conference from Johnny, you thought it'd be a rather simple matter behind closed doors. With many just likely tuning in from their TVs. But as the days go along you see this ain't just going to be some simple broadcast, as you hear other Mobians in the streets mentions words like 'carnival' and 'festival'. An abundant excitement is being shown by almost everyone in the city, ready for what this conference will turn out to be.
As for Johnny and Porker, the last time you saw them they were taken by staff to go behind the stage.
Now? The sun is starting to set down, and there's only a few hours left before this whole thing starts. At this point, just like you saw Johnny and Porker were before, you're being led by two stocky Mobians, one a boar with imposing tusks and the other a toad with bumpy skin that both wear black suits and black glasses to the back of the stage where nobody should see you to talk to two certain individuals before this whole thing starts. The two mayors of West Side and South Island.
You know, it is rather amusing to think about that despite how these two bodyguards look, you could probably kick their asses. You contemplate telling them that before you hear something from the distance within these halls.
"-Let me at you!"
"Oh you think you're so tough huh!? I'll kill you where you stand!"
Your eyes widen, immediately taking a step to solve this situation before you feel a hand on your shoulder, one from the toad. He shakes his head. "No need to go, that's just how those two are."
...those two?
As you finally make it around the corner, you see two rather large Mobians with fancy clothing fighting each other. One a male white owl wearing all blue, and the other a grey rat in all yellow, both looking tacky in their clothes. Punching and kicking with... Well, you'd have to say the both of them are rather unskilled at it. So unskilled that you can tell they're more just hurting themselves than the other.
You raise an eyebrow at this as the boar bodyguard breathes a deep and tired sigh before stepping in to separate the two, putting his arms between them.
"Hey!" "We weren't done yet, I've gotta tell this fake of a mayor what's what!"
The Owl eyes the Rat as they say that, glaring with deep hatred. The Rat glares back, baring their teeth and growling.
"Sir. Madam." The Toad begins. "The guest is here."
The two of them stop glaring each other as their heads slowly turn to you, before going into a rush as the both of them stand up in surprise and brush off the dust off their suits. Almost as if trying to one-up each other with being the fasted to do so.
"Hello there Soni-"
"Hello there Soni-"
"Ahem-"
"Ahem-"
As soon as it looks like the two are about to fight again, the Toad goes on to raise their voice. "One at a time! Mayor Snow, you first."
The Rat Mobians looks disappointed as the white-feathered Owl Mobian beams. "It's wonderful to finally meet the hero that saved our precious Islands. I am Mayor Snow the Owl of West Side Island." A professional tone comes from their voice as they take out their hand for you to shake. Hm, avian Mobians sure have quite the difference in hands compared to most mammals huh? You shake it as other Mayor then takes their turn to speak.
"Tony Rattus, Mayor of South Island, it's a pleasure." A high pitched voice comes from the man as his words slur, they then hold out their hand with their long fingers stretched out. You take a moment to shake it too. "We have to thank a hero like you for all you've done, without the likes of you who knows what would've happened." Tony takes a moment to lean in towards you, and tries his best to whisper. "So like, are you really from Green Hill Zone?"
"Tony!" Snow is having none of it, you don't know if she has really good hearing or what, but she most definitely heard what he just said.
"What!?" Tony shouts back at her.
"We mustn't be so insensitive!" She tries to lecture the man. "Who knows what kinds of hardships they may have gone through!"
Though he it seems he disagrees. "I'm merely just asking him his place of residence, what could possibly be wrong with that!?"
The two bodyguards go on to stay behind you, staying silent throughout this. Though you can most certainly tell that they've been through this plenty of times before going by their annoyed expressions.
You can't help but feel tickled by the antics before you. Well, it's time to introduce yourself, before these two get into a full shouting match and forget that you exist.
[X] Go for the bees first. Their ranged attacks are troublesome, the other two need to get close to you to fight. After you beat them, it should be easy to deal with the grounded ones.
[X] "Rush time is over guys! Time to get home."
-[X] "Let's start with you guys!" jumps at a Buzz Bomber.
-[X] "Guess I really am sweeping you guys out of your feet!"
[X] As amusing you think the display is, it's time to bring them back to the subject. "Ahm, hello for you two, mayor guys," you glance at one of the bodyguards. "Is this really common?"
-[X] "And Mayor Snow, I don't say I really went under hardships in Green Hill. It's just how I lived. Simple as that. Though I appreciate the kindness."
-[X] "So, pretty big meeting, huh? Is everyone here to appreciate my beauty?" you jokingly ask.

You Jump Dash to Buzz Bomber 1 that is left of you, moving 5 yards towards them #3d6 = (2+2+4) 8. Hit!
Buzz Bomber 1 tries to swiftly fly around your dash #3d6 = (3+4+1) 8. Dodges!
You are now 5 yards away from Crabmeat and Spikes, 10 yards away from Buzz Bomber 2.
Buzz Bomber 1 takes a round to charge their attack.
Buzz Bomber 2 takes a round to charge their attack. They do not move towards you, as you are within their attack range.
Crabmeat uses Move and Attack to get to you, trying to release an energy ball at -4 to hit #3d6 = (6+6+1) 13. Fails to hit!
Crabmeat is now next to you.
Spikes uses Move and Attack to get to you, trying to impale you on it's large spike at -4 to hit #3d6 = (1+2+3) 6. Fails to hit!
Spikes is now next to you.
"Rush time is over guys! Time to get home. How about I start with you guys!" You hop upwards, turning into a ball and dashing right at the Bee who is left of you, who is within your range. As you get close to them though they manage to swiftly fly out of the way of your attack, making you land on the ground below. The Clawed-Menace and Snail-Bot take this chance to run right after you and wildly make their attacks, which you can tell aren't likely to hit you at all. You sidestep a small energy ball and the Snail trying to ram into you with ease.
You look at the Bee-Bot in the distance, not having moved. Hm, seems like you must be still within their range of attack then.
You Jump Dash right at Buzz Bomber 1 #3d6 = (3+3+3) 9. Hit!
Buzz Bomber 1 trying backing up from the attack #3d6 = (4+3+3) 10. Fails to dodge!
Roll for damage for Buzz Bomber 1 #1d6-1 = (6-1) 5*1.5 = 7 Damage.
Buzz Bomber 1: -5/2HP. Buzz Bomber 1 explodes.
Buzz Bomber 2 shoots from 10 yards away #3d6 = (5+6+2) 13. Fails to hit!
Crabmeat is unable to hit as you've bounced into the air after hitting Buzz Bomber 1!
Spikes is unable to hit as you've bounced into the air after hitting Buzz Bomber 1!
With that noted, you take a moment to look at the Bee you misses, and attack with a Jump Dash once again. This time hitting on target and crashing right through them! "Guess I really am sweeping you guys out from under your feet!" You feel the explosion under you as you bounce to the air, the Clawed-One and Snail unable to reach you. Your eyes widen as you see that other Bee finish charging their attack and shoot right at you! Fortunately enough not having a good aim with their stinger as they miss hitting you.
What do you do next? You did plan on getting both of the Bee-Bots at first, but that other one is no longer within range of your Jump Dash whilst the Claw and Snail are.

As amusing as you think this display is, it's about time to bring them back to the subject at hand. "Ahm, hello for you two-ah-mayor guys." When they don't respond you scratch the back of your head at that before glancing at one of the bodyguards, the Boar Mobian. "Is this really common?"
They stay still in their position, just moving their eyes toward you. "Unfortunately yes. There's always had some sort of rivalry going on, but the invasion by Robotnik had forced the two of them to work together more. Which... More often than not leads to these situations when outside of the public eye."
You whistle to that, before trying to speak to them again. You directly look to the Owl Mobian and speak. "Mayor Snow, I can't say I really went under hardships in Green Hill, it's just where I lived. Simple as that. Though I appreciate the kindness." It's almost a tad strange not being called out as the weirdest person in the room right now. You'd think given all your interactions that you wouldn't be the one trying to be the most normal here. Though maybe it's the awkwardness of meeting perhaps the two most important people of these Islands that's getting to you?
The white-feathered Mayor before you collects herself. "My apologies for this one's behaviour." Tony gives her a side eye at that, but she ignores it. "Though it is rather... Perplexing as to how you managed to find yourself in that situation to begin with, how did you find yourself living there?"
You shrug at that. "Dunno. All of my earliest memories are from there. And when it came to Mobians passing by I always managed to not get seen, turns out being fast does quite a bit of wonders in that department." You can't help but remember all those years spent there, and each time you managed to barely evade a passer-by. You really did try to avoid people as much as you could, that mentality of not wanting anything because you felt happy with what you had really tied you down.
The slurred speech of the Rat Mayor comes in. "It's a most fascinating story indeed. To know that you were right under my nose for all that time... And without even a single clue as to how you even got there in the first place?" He strokes the fur on his chin, taking his time to think. Then, with a smirk and a crossing of his arms, he says to you something you didn't expect to hear at all. "Say, kid, how's about I put an official investigation up?"
An official... What?
Snow's eyes widen as you are even able to hear the two bodyguards behind you cough slightly at that. "An official investigation!? We can't even get into South Island in the first place!"
The man just looks at her with a level of distain. "Really Snow? I'm not as incompetent as you might think I am, I already brought most official documents with me in the first place when the Eggman Invasion began. By the way, good name Hero, I'll be making sure that name sticks on every bit of documentation from here onward." Ha, you're starting to like this guy more. "Though if we want an actual full investigation we will need access to South Island to get the rest of the official documents left behind and bring a survey team into Green Hill to search for clues. We'll basically try our best to find any clues that might lead to your past, such as your parentage. Whilst there's a fair amount of Hedgehogs on the Island, there aren't so many that we can't at the very least look into it. What do you say?"
[ ] Yes. Have Mayor Tony make an official investigation into your past, though he'll need access to South Island to get a full picture. [ ] No. You don't exactly have much of a care about where you came from really, though it was nice of Tony to offer that up.
With that settled, you try to finally get into the actual point of the matter. "So, pretty big meeting, huh? Is everyone here to appreciate my beauty?" You jokingly ask.
Mayor Snow looks away for a moment, before slowly answering you. "In a way... Yes?" Wait what? "In essence, this whole conference is set up to be a moral booster to the population. You'll be set out there to answer as many questions as you can to the reporters out there, giving the populous an insight into you, and creating a more steady atmosphere for the next few months. As much as your defeat of that dastardly madman had rang a fire into everyone's hearts, these last few weeks have put into question the safety of Islands as a whole, with more and more people realizing that he'll most definitely back someday, and the question of what lays beyond the sea outside of our reach. We're already hearing those rumours of Flickies' Island now being taken over, and there's still the matter of his forces and bases that still lurk beyond the mountain. It's a complete mess and is giving a massive worry that's slowly seeping in, which is why we're having this all set up. Giving you the spotlight as a reassurance to all Mobians listening in, and the festivities we're setting up to allow for a more official day of partying and excitement compared to the chaotic one that happened after Eggman's initial defeat."
That's certainly a mouthful, but you think you get where she's coming from. Tony takes his turn to chime in. "And so, in about an one hours time, you'll be shoved right up there! Try to not get stage fright. Ha ha!" He says with a full belly laugh. Snow taking a moment to just glare at the man, though he does not stop.
