Failure Reward: Domestic lord of the Empire met: Duke Raymond of Aquitaine and Anjou: Relation set at 0/100
Oh good, he can't do shit to us.
You ordered them that they were forbidden to die without your express permission. And they became stronger because of it.
Now I want to see a crazy british and heavyset siberian recruit go through 'training'.
And when they faced the Mongol raiders, your men cut them down with no mercy, getting their first taste of Mongol blood.

Reward: All units are promoted up to Veteran Level Experience (this is the max level they can go). They now have a +20 to all battle rolls from here on out with no commander, and a +30 with a commander and can use their specialized abilities without a commander skill.
UUUUUUUUUUURA!
News of your victory against the Mongols had reached the many refugees that were flooding west. Until now, the prospect of joining your army was too trifling for them to contemplate. But now they signed up by the hundreds, with no fear of the Mongols raiding their homes to keep them from leaving.
Woooo!
You were very happy when Prince Jan was brought before the emperor after you showed him and several members of the House of Lords the will. And you were elated by the emperor gently setting the crown on Zima's head. (Continued in Swift Justice)
Slit the man's throat and dump his body in the gutter.
Natasha's report on who was spying on you… made you consider for a moment if the old emperor's fears were merely misdirected. Agents from every power in the world had infiltrated your motherland. Worse yet, the early evidence suggested someone had been using these agents to shadow and reveal your troop movements to the Mongols, and were responsible for the death of thousands of imperial soldiers, and your own people.
*screams internally*
"Alexander... Our production of these weapons has reached its limit." You heard the man protest.

You nodded. "A hundred cannons a month, along with its ammunition, is not enough Herr Gadsby." You narrowed your eyes in determination. "We need more for the army."

"I need more time... More men!" Gadsby replied.
INDUSTRIALIZATION HO!

Are you asking for Mad Jack? Because that's how you get Mad Jack in this quest.:V
UUUUURRRAAA!
The men know they're going to be led by a lion... Or a bear. It depends on where they're from really.
Slit the man's throat and dump his body in the gutter.
No... Let other people do that. I heard in the oubliette they cannibalize people.
*screams internally*
That's why you should always find out whose spying on you before the war.
INDUSTRIALIZATION HO!
Well not yet. We don't have the technology for that. Though with the way things are going, in a hundred/ two hundred years Europe might have early industrialization tech.

Well, the spies and Duke of Aquitaine are annoying, but all the same, I'd say that this turn went fantastic. Pray that RNJesus continues to bless us with his fickle gaze.

Out of curiosity, does the veteran status apply to the new recruits as well, or just to the men we already had at our disposal?

Damn... well, that was expected. Looks like we have something to do next turn, assuming nothing really fun/"fun" appears.
Oh... 'Fun', you mean like purging the spies in our midst, profiting from other actions and beating the shit out of the Mongols when the time comes with a whole army of badass soldiers?

Or was there something else?

*sees glorious Russian Bear eat puny Poland and crush arrogant Horse fuckers*

Next turn we should check in on Zima, she just got an entire Nation to deal with, she needs some personal support, we need to be there for her as she and her nation will be for us. A show of public support will also aid in getting her Lords more likely to mobilise to fully support us.

I gotta say while I initially had reservations about having a disaster roll, it's definitely grown on me. Keeps things interesting no matter which way it goes.

It helps that the disaster roll is bipolar as fuck. :V

Wow though. How many people did this guy piss off if it was that easy to replace him?

It's not how many people he angered, it's who he angered;)

Edit: because who he angered is us, the emperor and a few very like minded high ranking officials.

@Magoose any chance of him trying to perform a coup against Zima? And if so do we have legal grounds to execute him? Do the people of Poland in general like Zima or Jan better?

No. Mostly because he already pulled a coup in the first place. What we're doing is a belated counter coup.

And if so do we have legal grounds to execute him?
He's already going to prison for a very long time for screwing around with succession with in a principality. It's really up to Alexander weather he's going to execute him or not.

It really depends on who you ask. The lower classes don't care, the merchants like Jan but the nobility and millitry like Zima because she's one of them. (Them being a hussar)
