As much as I want to do something that ambitious... No. that would be too hard for me to do.
Someone started a doctor doom quest ck2 style with modifications. They made a marvel dynasty quest look easy. To be fair half the issue is a strong knowledge base, with the rest pure writer skill. I think it might be dead now.

I'm not that knowledgeable of the marvel universe enough to pull it off. MCU, maybe, but not the mainstream marvel comic universe.

Calling the Vote. Chasing the Routing Enemies win.

Now there will not be a story post next, it's going to be the rolls for if we catch the routers, how many we killed if we catch them and the casualty report with our losses reported for this defense.

The Final story update will come out soon after those things are posted, which will reveal if Vasily survived his brush with death.

The Defense of Yamatau Finale: The Rout
The Defense of Yamatau Finale: The Rout

Vlad could only feel rage in his body. He wanted to murder as many Mongols as possible and make their deaths as long and painful as possible. He already planned it through his mind, how he was going to make enough stakes to kill as many as he could at the same time.

The Mongol right was going to be a tough nut to crack if he could catch them.

Enemy Right Flank Escape Roll: 1D100 => 70 vs 1D100 => 99

Enemy Casualties: 1D10000 => 882

Enemy Right Escaped.

But besides a few outliers, they did manage to escape. And all Vlad could do was watch.

(POV Change)

Fulk knew his orders as he mounted his mount. Vasily's orders were clear. You were going to make sure those Mongols would not get away.

"Boys!" He shouted. "It's time to repay the Mongol's with blood!"

And Fulk would do it personally. No longer would he hid behind his walls like a rat. He would prove to be a lion.

And he would smash the center to dust!

Enemy Center Escape Roll:1D100 => 74 vs 1D100 => 42

Enemy Casualty roll: 1D100000 => 98838

Enemy Center Wiped out.

And by the day's end, they were all killed.

(POV Change)

Philip smiled. "Ionnos! Fire more volleys! I do not want to see any more of these bastards!"

Ionnos nodded. "FIRE!"

The resulting fire cut off the enemy left.

Enemy Left Flank Escape Roll: 1D100 => 66 cs 1D100 => 40

Enemy Casualty roll: 1D50000 => 28373

Enemy Surrender Roll: 1D100 => 96 vs 1D100 => 66

Enemy Left Flank surrenders.

And Phillip smiled. More prisoners and more mouths to feed in the short term, but it would pass. Supplies would start coming to the ort soon, and with all the extra meat from the horses, they would be able to last a while.

Philip wondered if the mountains carried iron and gold. Because the labor costs were going to be significant. For tools of course, not the labor. These men would work for ten years and then be freed, as is Imperial law.

Though Philip wondered if they would survive ten years in the Urals. It got mighty cold in the winter.

(POV Change)

Zima could only hear her daughters cry, and she knew what had happened.

The battle was over. Vasily won.

The Defense of Yamatau has concluded.

AN: It's short, but the final part is near.

Edit: A word.

Kinda sucks that the Mongolian right flank escaped, as we were aiming for total destruction. Otherwise all great - it looks like we took absurdly low casualties across the board as well.

We frankly did everything right: Naranbaatar was looking to make a lengthy play for the fort, but we not only forced him to make an uncoordinated assault, but killed him in a single day.

By modern standards, we may or may not have just committed a minor act of genocide.:V
No we didn't... Well not yet at least. We didn't get the women or children:V

And we won't because the quest is about to end.

Edit: And the massive amount of prisoners we've taken in this battle.

But I should explain myself a little bit to add a little perspective and maybe tone down the genocide comments. Even though we technically did commit it.

The Mongols outnumbered Vasily and co by a factor of 12 to 1 and the fire that we started cut that army in half. Half fled away from the firestorm, and many died in the resulting retreat. While the rest went with the Great Khan.

That was around 500,000 Mongol troops coming at us, but they were only bound by the fear of the Great Khan. And once the Khan died, they fled. This battle killed hundreds of thousands of them during the combat and the rout.

Sure many escaped, but many more were captured or killed by Vasily's army and Vlad's. And Vlad showed no mercy to anyone. As you can imagine, stakes were raised.

But we never even got to take over half the planet and then have our inevitable epic clash with Black Panther to determine who would take over the earth once and for all.
But I can always come back and do a sequel later.

We can't do that if we are crippled :V

Long live the fires that save our lives!

I wonder how Zima would react to us being in a coma right now.

The Dreamer
The Dreamer

You opened your eyes and saw only blackness, with stars dotting the sky to illuminate the world, if only just. You looked down and saw your armor full cleaned, glistening in the starlight.

"Hello, Vasily." You turned around and saw your father standing before you. Behind him was a large hall that was lit by some light, light that was so blindingly bright that you could only scarcely look at it for a moment before you stared at your father.

"Father." Your knees felt weak. "Where am I?"

"A place between life and death." Your father stated.

"Valhalla?" You questioned. This place reminded you of the old Norse stories you listened to when you were a child. A warrior's heaven. A fitting place for a man like you, who knew nothing in his final moments but war, death, and sorrow.

Your father walked over to you and hit you softly on the head. "You really don't listen that well do you boy?" He chuckled.

"Than where am I?" You asked again.

Your father sighed and put his arm around your shoulder. "You are dying. The wounds you have taken while you were mortal are too great. It is time for you to leave my son. And join us all in the great gates of heaven."

"But I don't want to die." You replied. You wanted to go back to Zima, to your children! You wanted to see them all grow, to see their wives, your grandchildren being born, to see The Rus be brought to greatness under your rule. You wanted to see the world you had a part in shaping. To see true peace for your people. You wanted to live! "I don't want to!" You sounded like a terrified child shouting at his father. And at this moment, you were.

Your father's grip on your shoulder tightened, and you felt the pain in your body. Everywhere seemed to burn like hot ashes. It was hard to breathe. "THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL GO BACK TO BOY!" The sky seemed to darken, not even the starlight could cut through it. You felt tired, weak and confused. "A FRAIL BODY OF A BOY, WEAKENED BY WAR AND CAMPAIGN!"

"What's the matter with that?" You replied, your voice so quiet that you wondered how the words left your mouth as a sentence instead of a gargle.

"WHAT ABOUT YOUR OATH! YOUR OATH TO ME!" His voice was demonic, hellish and sounded like hundreds of voices together shouting together in harmony, the victims of the Mongol Horde.

"I've completed my oath father." That statement stunned your father's into silence. "They will never threaten the Rus again." There was no hesitation in your voice, you were right, and nothing in this world could change that.

"Now let me go home." You whispered. "My family needs me."

An Oath Fulfilled, A Curse Broken:1D100 => 85 vs 1D100 => 29

Your father smiled, and you felt relieved. It was as if the weight on your shoulders that were weighing you down was finally gone "Aye…" There was a tear in his eyes. "They do." He stated before the stars started to glow brightly. Whiteness overtook you. "Live a good life, my son. And never forget who you are."

When you opened your eyes, you saw Zima. Her eyes red from crying, with two babies' sleeping in her arms.

"Zima." You whispered.

Zima looked at you. She was silent before she whispered. "Would you like to see your daughters?"

You nodded and looked at the two babes closer. And only one thing was on your mind as you took in the squirming babes that were now in this world with you now.

Everything was going to be alright.

The End.

AN: Enjoy and thank you for playing.

What is happening in Wakanda, was my sense of minor paranoia about them justified?

How bad is Vasily's damage? Can he walk? Is it permanent or can he heal in time?
Vasily has been stabbed in the left lung and suffered from internal bleeding before the lung collapsed. His right lung is fine and completely untouched if you want to know.

Edit: Basically Vasily is living with one lung right now.

Vasily can walk, but with difficulty, and he will be confined to a cane for a very long time, potentially for the rest of his life, due to the severity of the wound.

The injury is permanent. While it can heal and Vasily can get back into some form of fighting shape due to his lifetime of training, he will never reclaim the greatest warrior alive title.

They're just building up infrastructure, getting some trade with the Islamic world for food seeds so they can cultivate more western crops, and get better, more western weapons.

Tchalla's not in the business of conquest. He's in the empire building business. Whether it survives or not depends on how long the good king lives, and if he has a good heir to replace him.
