It started slow. An accident here, a sudden disappearance there, separated by weeks or even months between deaths. It wasn't so strange, living so far into the mountains is dangerous, after all.
Not so anymore. It's at least a death a night, now, and not nearly so subtle about it. Someone is killing townsfolk left and right; The population of the town of Redback Ridge is half what it was, and only half
that were willing to step forward to participate in the debate of what the cause of this might be and what to do about it, lest they attract unwanted attention.
The gallows are raised for the first time in years. The one responsible for these deaths will be found, and given their just punishment. This the people swear, or let them die in trying.
Welcome to Bad Blood, yet another mafia game by me. Y'all are probably familiar with the Mafia system, and if you aren't, well, it's simple enough to pick up and you can always ask questions.
Now, on to rules:
RULES
- All roles will be randomly assigned.
- The game will be separated into Day and Night phases. Each Day phase is 72 hours, each Night phase is 48 hours or when I get all the Night Actions. If you have an extremely good reason, I may give an extension.
- Always always always post at least once per Day Phase! It'd be nice if you did it once every 24 hours.
- Lynches happen at the end of the Day and are determined by the plurality of votes, not majority hammer. Ties could make things...interesting.
- For a lynch to pass during the day, at least 50% of the players must be voting.
- Do not write illegible, hidden, or coded messages. Invisitext isn't as cute as you think it is.
- DO NOT DISCUSS THE GAME WITH OTHER PLAYERS OUTSIDE THIS THREAD. Only talk to another player elsewhere if there is something in your role that allows it. If you're talking elsewhere, impersonating other players is not allowed.
- DO NOT EDIT YOUR POSTS. If you gotta fix something, doublepost.
- DO NOT DIRECTLY QUOTE YOUR ROLE PM'S. If you gotta mention it, paraphrase.
- When you die, you gotta stop posting. You get one freebie message of literally no game value, and then you're out.
- When you vote for someone, vote for them by like so: [x] Hang [player name]. To rescind your vote, vote [x] Null.
- If you've got a question, or you're confused about something, ask me.
- Finally, do not act against the spirit of the game. This is a nebulous term, but includes such things as "Taking your ball and going home". Always keep fighting for yourself, always be trying to win. Don't give up, basically.
BREAKING THE RULES IS PUNISHABLE BY ANYTHING UP TO A MODKILL.
The game is designed to support 21, 23, or 25 players, with minor setup changes with each version depending on how many people we get. Player acceptance is technically subject to GM veto, but my blacklist is rather short, so it's functionally First-Come-First-Serve.
And with that, let's have some fun!
