I'm sort of thinking, some kind of Mechanical Leg built by Atlas, at the behest of Clara and the other members of Team HERO.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know this is off-topic but I had a story idea and I want to pick the brains of the people on this thread.

Who do you place in charge of a team containing Nora, Ren, Pyrrha and Penny, and what do you call that team?

I do have a few ideas, such as:
  • Team Pineapple: Penny Polendina, Nora Valkyrie, Pyrrha Nikos, Lie Ren. [PNPL] (Penny leads)
  • Team Pineapple: Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie, Penny Polendina, Lie Ren. [PNPL] (Pyrrha leads)
  • Team Napier: Nora Valkyrie, Penny Polendina, Pyrrha Nikos, Lie Ren. [NPPR] (Nora leads)
But I am certain that you guys could probably come up with something better.

No offence, but that sort of thing should probably go in the general RWBY thread.

That said, you've got N2,V,P3,L,R to work with, so here's 1000 random configurations to sort through, courtesy of Random Letter Sequence Generator :

... Say, couldn't Cherise Cheshire decide to work on prosthetics and expand into medicine because of Ozwald's injury?

In fact, that would make sense and be a good reason to go into medicine/regeneration/limb-restoration; because one of our students got hurt!

And, of course, naturally this means that one of the things we'd eventually focus on would be the restoration of eyes...

Kind of an old idea...
But yeah.

And as a added bonus, start selling low cost prosthetics to kids and orphans....

Make it so moving on us leads to such a public backlash, they'll back off.

Turn 9
Turn 9

Stewardship (Choose Three):
[ ] Moonshot, Part 1
With your corporations insights into powered flight, it was only natural for Vales council to come to you with questions regarding the potential to go beyond the atmosphere. Beyond the theoretical benefits of remote platforms placed in orbit, the temporal anomaly surrounding the moon has been a mystery for countless generations, one you are now in a unique possibility to investigate. It will, of course, take years before anything major is done... But this is the first step. Cost: 50 Upkeep: 0 Success on: ??? Rewards: High Altitude Dust Research, ???. +10 to roll if taken with "CC: Verticality". +10 to roll if taken with Lunatic Dream.

[ ] Weapons Galore
The mechashift weapons you've developed have proven to be quite an enticing purchase, not just in Vale but worldwide. Patents on technology that can greatly impact humanities actions against the Grimm are strictly regulated, but even so, there's no denying that you have no small amount of competitive advantage at the moment. Eventually, the technology will circulate, but right now you have an opportunity that could well be your "in" to the international Huntsman community. Cost: 20 Upkeep: 20 Success on: 15/40/65. Reward: +50 Income. Additional Mechashift proliferation. Additional Huntsman community contacts and connections.

[ ] External Pressure
Mistral has attempted to deny your company entry, but they've done it in a clumsy and foolish way, ripe for exploitation. Teach your opponents why attempting to bar your way will only lead to worse consequences, and obtain control over another kingdoms Faunus population. Cost: 50 Upkeep: 0 Success on: 10/40/70 Rewards: Greatly increased influence in Mistral. Increased influence with Mistral Faunus. Increased reputation worldwide. Increased production capacity. +120 income.

[ ] Collaboration
Silica Fall has expressed her desire for Beacon and Haven to share notes on Dust research, and Arc has agreed. Naturally, the bulk of the work dealing with this has fallen on your shoulders. Get this collaboration running smoothly and quickly, and reap the benefits. Cost: 0 Upkeep: 0 Success on: 20/50/80 Rewards: Increased influence with Haven. Dust Casting Progress. Possibility of refining a Dust Casting style.

Martial (Locked):
[x] Blind Spot
It will take quite some practice, especially since you must do it discreetly. But learning to fight completely blind is not a particularly uncommon skill amongst high level Huntsmen, and your abilities to remotely sense Dust and Grimm are already at the requisite level. The loss of an eye does not need to handicap you. Not for long. Success on: 30/60/90 Rewards: Reduce or eliminate Martial penalty from the loss of your eye. Potential to increase Aura control. Potential to gain "Blind Fighter" trait.

Diplomacy (Choose Two):
[ ] Business Ties
With your manipulations during the Vytal Festival, it was simplicity itself to arrange for the Schnee Dust Company to have a monopoly on Dust Mining in all but name. Now, you need to ensure that you can actually make use of all those resources. You'll need to put on an elaborate charade, fooling those watching both Cheshire Industries and the Schnee Dust Company, as well as those invested in both corporations... But the gains will be immense. Success on: 20/50/80 Rewards: Increased access to Schnne Dust Company resources, decreased suspicion gain chances in Atlas. +100 Income.

[ ] Cool and Shady
Shade Academy needs teachers. Team HERO, including the tragically injured Ozpin, remain on tap to begin teaching once the Academy completes construction (scheduled for this year), but they're hardly the only candidates. Have a look at who else might be willing to teach - and while you're at it, scout Vacuo for talent that might be of use to you, personally, as well. Success on: 20/40/60 Rewards: Increased influence and control over Shade Academy. Increased reputation with Shade Academy and Vacuo. Potential recruitment?

[ ] Reaching Out
With your recent actions, you've spurred anti-Royalist sentiment and screening back into action - but you've also likely galvanized those that remain dedicated to the cause. Act quickly, and snatch them up now - or lose potential allies forever, as the new kingdoms redouble their efforts to stamp them out. Success on: 50/80/90. Rewards: Establish ties with foreign anti-establishment groups. New actions available outside of Vale. ???.

Intrigue (One Locked, Choose One) (+15 to Vale Based Rolls):
[x] Acting Lessons (Locked)
Through direct Dust control, and just a touch of illusion, you can control your false eye with nearly the same fidelity as your actual eye. But that "almost" takes on quite a different tone, when you're surrounded by high-level Huntsmen who have known you for years, and the consequences for failure are this high. Refine your acting abilities, practice controlling the eye until it becomes unconcious, and you might just get past this. Success on: 20/50/80. Rewards: Refine your Aura and Dust control. Keep suspicions off of you.

[ ] Queen Takes Bishop
There's a difference between control, and control. You control Schnee, and through Bishop Investigations, Schnee has massive influence over the policing sector in Vale. But with things left as they stand, your influence is far too diluted and delayed for your tastes. Cut out the middleman, and establish a firm power base in Vale's intelligence sector, once and for all. Success on: 15/25/45. Rewards: Render Vale's council entirely blind and deaf with regards to the goings-on of the world, save for what you permit.

[ ] Grave Robbing
There's an awful lot of artifacts lying around in Vacuo, and not all of the tombs are open to foreign visitors... legally. But the antiquities trade is one of the Jade Serpents hallmarks, which means involving yourself in their dealings in Vacuo could lead to a most profitable partnership, for everyone. Success on 20/40/80. Reward: Help the Jade Serpent identify and move Vacuan artifacts. Increased reputation with Jade Serpent. +100 Income. First pick of any particularly juicy artifacts.

Learning (Choose Two) (+20 to C.C. Rolls):
[ ] CC: Verticality
There's aircraft, and then there's aircraft. Cheshire Industries has a decent share of the aviation market, which has been slowly increasing from year to year, but that's not even close to the limit of your ambitions. Dedicate some time to creating a truly remarkable improvement to the current state-of-the-art, and you could capture the imagination of people - and governments - around the world. Cost: 30 Upkeep: 10 Success on: 20/40/60. Rewards: Aircraft performance improves. Improved presence in aviation market.

[ ] CC: Prosthetics
As you've been informed of by a contrite Atlas official, Ozwald Ozpin was greviously injured during an altercation with the unknown thief. Given your role as his teacher, it wouldn't be suspicious if Cheshire Crafts began looking into research on how to integrate implants into the body - considering both issues involving biological rejection, as well as lack of Aura flow. Cost: 20 Upkeep: 20 Success on: 20/40/60. Rewards: Cheshire Crafts make major inroads and progress on prosthetics and implants. ???.

[ ] On The Origin of Species
Aurion the Valient does not recognize the word "Faunus". Given that you're speaking directly with his soul, a means of communication far beyond needing a translation convention, this is somewhat disconcerting. You have no idea what this might mean, but you trust a first hand account over any amount of theory, and the facts seem clear - four thousand years ago, there were no Faunus in central Saunus, in what would become Vale. Investigate why. Cost: 50 Upkeep: 0 Success on: 30/60/90. Rewards: Information on the origins of Faunus. ???

Piety (Choose Three)(+10 to C.C. Rolls):
[ ] Beacon: Crocea Mors
If one wishes to discuss artifacts located in Vale, one need look no further then Headmaster Arc's ancestral sword. Perhaps the purest expression of Star Platinum besides the Royal Crowns themselves, with the secrets of its forging lost to time, it is literally priceless. And you have the chance to study it. Don't waste it. Success on: 40/80/100. Reward: Information on Crocea Mors in particular, and Star Platinum in general. +10 to roll if taken with "Unlimited Power".

[ ] Lunatic Dream
Aurion talks of legends, ancient even in his time, of the moon-that-was: A whole, unbroken disk of silver light in the sky. He speaks of the calamity that struck, when the moon was broken, and of the nightmares that were born of the furious moons anger and rage. This is all apocryphal, but he also speaks of a temple dedicated to the priestesses of the moon, and their ties to the seasons. Success on: 40/70/100. Rewards: Investigate the origins of the Maidens, and their connection to the shattered moon. +10 to roll if taken with "Moonshot, Part One".

[ ] Beacon: Shattered Ziggarut
Ah, yes. Vacuo still have not discovered just how important these ruins might be, offering them to Vale's archeology department so freely, nestled amongst a list of Tier 3 sites. You... you know better. One of the only known resting places of the Silver Eyed Warriors, this ruin is an invaluable opportunity. The more you delay, the greater the chance your prize will be denied. Success on: 10/50/90. Rewards: Knowledge, Ancient Artifacts, ???.

[ ] CC: Advanced Thaumic Research
You've broken the soul down to it's most fundamental level - now examine it's interactions! How are new souls formed, and what shapes them? What is a Semblance, at the most basic level, and can multiple Semblances be combined? You've been given the green light from Vale to pursue perhaps the most detailed study of the soul ever undertaken. Action takes two turns. Success on: 30/60/90. Rewards: Massive advances in soul research.

[ ] Unlimited Power
You have retrieved an artifact of untold potential, a birthright from your fallen nation. Examine it, learn from it, and master it. Success on: 10/30/50/70/90. Rewards: Increase Em-Iâ Artifact attunement from "Adept" to "Master". ??? +10 to roll if taken with "Crocea Mors".

Personal (1 Locked, 1 Free):
[x] Teaching (Locked)
You're taking some time off from preparing students for the Vytal festival, given your important duties in establishing the fledgling Shade academy, and in the increasing cooperation between Beacon and Haven. You're certain Clara and Arc will do fine in your stead. Success on 30/60/90. Reward: Teach Vale's future Huntsmen and Huntresses. +50 to roll from previous turns.

[ ] Coronation
What have you accomplished, with your actions so far, and what will you do in the future. Those who cared for you, raised you... what would they think? What do they deserve? What obligations does a ring of Starmetal and a Maiden's Jewel place upon you? Consider these thoughts, and reflect. Automatic Success. Gain: Mental Stability, Conviction.

[ ] Family Matters
Gervain has family in Atlas. Having fallen in your service, it's your responsibility to let them know what occured, and compensate them. Moreover, as his death was a result of your actions... Expressing the imprint he left on the world through your Semblance is not beyond your power. Success on 20/50/100. Rewards: Closure. ???.

AN: Ugh. This was already running late. I'll edit the SDC results into the Turn 8 results page tommorow, and post the Turn 9 SDC vote options at the same time.

Given how many actions you guys have nowadays, I'm probably gonna do split the action sets into multiple votes and updates soon, like C.O.R.E. did.

Rewards: Aircraft performance improves. Improved presence in aviation market.

you put airship reward as prosthetic reward, unless you mean flying rocket legs...

[X]Plan Ancient Magical Moon Secrets
Combine Moonshot, Verticality, and Lunatic Dreams for maximum possible success.
We use external pressure and Collaboration to start subverting Mistral's Faunus and Silica Fall.
We don't need Royalist remnants, so Reaching Out is a no-go. Instead, we grab more agents from Shade as we find ourselves short an assassin/spy/thief, and minimize Atlas' ability to look at Cherise Cheshire/SDC. And more powerful SDC is always good for us.
Queen takes a Bishop will complete our control over Vale. We have its crime world, we have its law enforcement, we have Beacon and Hunters, we have the council by the balls... now we take Intelligence personally.
As tempting as Origin of The Species is, something we can use to increase our power and influence over the Faunus community, we do need the prosthetics and implants more urgently.
On Piety I already mentioned Lunatic Dream, but the link between Crocea Mors and Em-lâ is too juicy and mechanically boosting to pass up.
Lastly, Family Matters will start the path to us getting a new spy/assassin in 'Emily'. And tell me the idea of Krom being a one-woman grief team doesn't appeal to you. The character insights are so tantalizing!

Are we supposed to have the penalty on our character sheet? And I thought we only lost vision in one eye, not that we were blind.

I just like Prosthetics because I think it will speed up the Penny like programs (I want a robot to replace Weiss which will never be born ).

[X] Plan Long Live the Queen (of Faunus)
Stewardship (Choose Three):
[X] Weapons Galore

[X] External Pressure
Mistral has attempted to deny your company entry, but they've done it in a clumsy and foolish way, ripe for exploitation. Teach your opponents why attempting to bar your way will only lead to worse consequences, and obtain control over another kingdoms Faunus population. Cost: 50 Upkeep: 0 Success on: 10/40/70 Rewards: Greatly increased influence in Mistral. Increased influence with Mistral Faunus. Increased reputation worldwide. Increased production capacity. +120 income.

[X] Collaboration

[X] Cool and Shady
Shade Academy needs teachers. Team HERO, including the tragically injured Ozpin, remain on tap to begin teaching once the Academy completes construction (scheduled for this year), but they're hardly the only candidates. Have a look at who else might be willing to teach - and while you're at it, scout Vacuo for talent that might be of use to you, personally, as well. Success on: 20/40/60 Rewards: Increased influence and control over Shade Academy. Increased reputation with Shade Academy and Vacuo. Potential recruitment?

[X] Reaching Out
With your recent actions, you've spurred anti-Royalist sentiment and screening back into action - but you've also likely galvanised those that remain dedicated to the cause.

Refine your acting abilities, practice controlling the eye until it becomes unconscious, and you might just get past this. Success on: 20/50/80. Rewards: Refine your Aura and Dust control. Keep suspicions off of you.

[X] Queen Takes Bishop
There's a difference between control, and control. You control Schnee, and through Bishop Investigations, Schnee has massive influence over the policing sector in Vale. But with things left as they stand, your influence is far too diluted and delayed for your tastes. Cut out the middleman, and establish a firm power base in Vale's intelligence sector, once and for all. Success on: 15/25/45. Rewards: Render Vale's council entirely blind and deaf with regards to the goings-on of the world, save for what you permit.

Learning (Choose Two) (+20 to C.C. Rolls):
[X] CC: Prosthetics
As you've been informed of by a contrite Atlas official, Ozwald Ozpin was grievously injured during an altercation with the unknown thief. ???.

[X] On The Origin of Species
Aurion the Valiant does not recognise the word "Faunus".

Rolls):
[X] Lunatic Dream
Aurion talks of legends, ancient even in his time, of the moon-that-was: A whole, unbroken disk of silver light in the sky. He speaks of the calamity that struck, when the moon was broken, and of the nightmares that were born of the furious moons anger and rage. This is all apocryphal, but he also speaks of a temple dedicated to the priestesses of the moon, and their ties to the seasons. Success on: 40/70/100. Rewards: Investigate the origins of the Maidens, and their connection to the shattered moon. +10 to roll if taken with "Moonshot, Part One".

[X] Beacon: Shattered Ziggarut
Ah, yes. Vacuo still have not discovered just how important these ruins might be, offering them to Vale's archaeology department so freely, nestled amongst a list of Tier 3 sites. You... you know better. One of the only known resting places of the Silver Eyed Warriors, this ruin is an invaluable opportunity. The more you delay, the greater the chance your prize will be denied. Success on: 10/50/90. Rewards: Knowledge, Ancient Artefacts, ???.

[X] Unlimited Power
You have retrieved an artefact of untold potential, a birthright from your fallen nation. Examine it, learn from it, and master it. Success on: 10/30/50/70/90. Rewards: Increase Em-Iâ Artefact attunement from "Adept" to "Master".

[X] Coronation
What have you accomplished, with your actions so far, and what will you do in the future. Those who cared for you, raised you... what would they think? What do they deserve? What obligations does a ring of Starmetal and a Maiden's Jewel place upon you? Consider these thoughts, and reflect. Automatic Success. Gain: Mental Stability, Conviction.

Edit: I have decided to change my vote

I like Plan God save the Queen, with one exception: I would like to take advantage of Mistral's misfortunes with the Fanus. I would like to substitute either Weapons Galore or Collaboration with External Pressure.
Eh, upon reflection, hocked Collab.

I want Weapons Galore because all those weapons have a weakness only WE know. Plus more cash....
