Well, given that it's underwear, he's, presumably, wearing something over that that's not armor. That said, something comfy and body-covering does sound good.

I'm guessing long johns (with a long-sleeved top)

If he's wearing plate, that means he's wearing all the stuff that goes below it, otherwise ouch.

I don't have any experience with heavy armor, but I got my hands on a proper chainmail way back, and wearing that on bare skin in a fight means lots of chainmail-shaped bruises.

Also, I suspect, a great deal less of body hair :V

a full suit plate mail usually goes normal clothes cotten padding, boiled leather, chainmail surcoat, then the actual plate mail armor, but that sif you were rich and could afford all the extra protraction most just got the cotton and the leather then the plates

Well, we'd presumably embody ambition, power, and the endless pursuit of knowledge, so I wouldn't think that plateauing will be much of an issue.

    Her Aura reserves were untouched because the attack somehow bypassed her Aura.

    Some sort of trap is a possibility, but it doesn't explain the Aura issue.

    Unless it was a really exotic trap, which might be why she missed it.

    We've tried, but they keep being one step ahead of us. I expect that it will only be more difficult now that they are allied with the LeFey. We'll keep trying though, hopefully getting Shade Academy operational will help us crack down on crime.

    Guys, I'm flattered, but I'm not a miracle worker. This is just like when those anti-Royalist investigators from Mantle disappeared without a trace. I can't figure things out with nothing to work with.

    It could be the Jade Serpent. @Mook_Squad confirmed that they wouldn't seek her out on purpose, but she could have stumbled on them.

    It could have been an elaborate Dust trap. She's a brilliant Dust Caster, but we all know that the ancients possessed knowledge of Dust that we can't even imagine today.

    It could also have been the Grimm, no matter how horrific it is to imagine a Grimm capable of piercing through Aura.

    We just don't have enough information.

    As far as any of us know, @Illyria2004's omake could be right and Cherise got shanked by an angry ghost.

    Edit: Aaaand it's just been declared Semi-Canon.

    She won't be able to assist this turn, but inviting Cherise Cheshire to help investigate the ruin is indeed an option. Even though it's now a Tier 1 site, you can pull some strings and cut through the bureaucracy to make an exception for her.

    Unfortunately, the information you'd need for full canonicity is not something I can share with the thread at this time.

    Let's just say that Cherise Cheshire have a number of secret trump cards she wasn't expecting to need, but is very happy she had prepared.

    She failed the Crit Fail Recovery roll (she got 85 and needed 100).

    Then, she got a total of 7 crits on two Piety rolls, 4 for ??? and 3 for combat.

    And to answer your next question: yes, a crit-fail was the only result she would have failed this action on.

    I'm all for inviting her back. We all remember what happened to the last group of people in Vacuo too stubborn to accept outside help and I'd rather not repeat that mistake.
