Entry 42
The glass now empty of it's contents, sans ice slammed into her desk. Misato had to say while she loved her beer, she was very thankful for the Liquor she'd stolen from Gendo's office.

It deffinitlly had the kick needed for her to even glance at the three stapled together report that Magi had printed out for her.

Boy did she regret that, even if it was something necessary for her upcoming meeting.

The very though of opening one sent her heart rate up a bit, and told she wasn't drunk enough just yet. So pouring out another glass from the bottle of hard liquor, and slamming it back she took a breath.

And looked at the three reports, numbered in order of reading and each with it's own pithy title that sent starbursts of irritation through here head.

1: Progenitors, Angels, and what they were originally suppose to do, or how Adam ruined everything for everybody the summarized addition.
2: Giant Robots and you, or why I'm perfectly harmless and mean you no harm.
3: The death of the universe, how it happened, and why fixing it requires kidnapping your planet.

She closed her eyes as she realized she was going to need more alcohol.

So much alcohol.

Admittedly I was expecting this to happen much earlier.

At the very least it took them more than four hours to decide that everyone at nerve needed to die and set the JDF to get the job done. Followed by the UN and every other weapon an resource they had at their disposal. So I guess SEELE had at least some decency, sadly it wasn't enough to fill a thimble.

So giving Lilith a pat on the shoulder, I left her to stare at the blue haired pilot while I set out to wait a couple of hours for the various armies I was going to have to wreck.

I have to give SEELE some credit though, they are really good at hiding the unsanctioned construction of EVA's because that's at very least another ten added to their count of Meat robots that shouldn't exist.

I left the Lance with Lilith, so the question was if I wanted set this up like a robot fight club or if I wanted to just drown them in plasma fire.

Choices, choices, so many things I could do.

AN: Sorry about how short this chapter is but there isn't much I can add to this one.

You can really get a feel from the MC's personality bleeding through, can't you? At the very least, the giant God-Machine(considering he outclasses Progenitors, he literally is one) is pretty personable, eh? And, here's the important bit, he has gratuitous terraforming experience, especially when it comes to oceans! He can clean up Lilith's garden real nicely. It'd serve as a nice house-warming gift to his new neighbour/friend! She's still pretty outta it and is healing/recovering still, after all, right?

well, sort of. as long as she doesn't mind emperor titan-sized spiders. or reverse negative dragons. or random patches of stable unreality. or shoggoth lizards.

Send in the a few doxes and 1 or 2 slammers! if the MP Evas can last long enough take/"adopt"/convert the ones that are still living because they are super special to last that long vs some basic bitch ultra mechs(for them).

Giant Meat Robots and You
Why your dad is even more of a bastard than you thought
and your mother probably wasn't any better actually.

A lot of fanfic writers tend to handwave that part. Yui had her own agenda. Gendo is a Yandere determined to reunite with his wife.

And Yui was a nihilistic cult member that believed it wasn't possible to stop SEELE and decided that the only way for humanity to prove that they existed was to turn herself into a giant robot that would survive Third Impact and basically be a living legacy.

So yeah, bitch be crazy.

would not be much of a robot fight club if they cant even harm the paint job ^^
Robot fight club is all about the Bay-esq emphasis on explosive cinematography. Both sides needn't be the ones producing said explosions, however.

I vote for robot fight club. Save the plasma sea for real threats... actually, can commander units even do hand to hand? There is no point since everything is a gun of some kind, but it could be a good opportunity to learn.

Robo-fight? No, Kaiju fight!
Drop one of the Spiders and see how long it takes for the EVAs to be reduced into Fanta!
While this would be surprisingly effective, (the eva's wouldn't last ten minutes, after all the spiders have managed to scratch the paint job on one of his doxes.) It would sadly cause mass psychological problems for any humans that saw it, and is as a result not an option.

I can't remember the chapter it happened in but he does have hands so he could hold the Spear, and he's closer to something out of pacific rim than your traditional commander. As result far more articulate, and fully capable of giving an Eva a devastating right cross.

Shinji gets an explanatory pamphlet.

Giant Meat Robots and You
Why your dad is even more of a bastard than you thought
It would more than likly be something along the lines of:

The Ikari family, it's many issues and how giant meat mechs were involved Or why you are far better at coping than either of your parents, so much better.

Entry 43
One thing you have to realize, is that the whole 'Endlessly replicating weapon of Genocide' sometimes colors my perception. I was almost done setting up the necessary structure to drown the incoming Meat bots, and their tiny human helpers in plasma when I realized something.

I was approaching this like I would a fight.

What was happening was many things, but it did not qualify as a fight. Not even a play fight, so no I should not be readying enough plasma to render half the planet uninhabitable.

Feeling slightly sheepish I sent out the order for the newly constructed plasma batteries scrap themselves. Before after a moment of though, I set them rebuild into a couple of basic factories.

I honestly wasn't even needed fro the Eva's coming this way, so I felt more than safe in just leaving the normal human troops to A bunch of doxes. All of them equipped with what amounted to knock out guns, the main force was made up of JSDF personnel after all, and while some of them definitely deserved it, most were clueless to what was going on.

About five hundred Soldier are heading this way, so ten Doxes should be enough but lets double it so it doesn't take to long. Twenty Doxes against five hundred human soldiers, sounds like, well definitely not a fair fight.

Those poor soldiers.

Huh, I didn't know Seele had access to that many N2's, they must be really panicking if there prepping them for launch. Oh well, not an issue just need to set up a couple anti-nuke launchers, and actually couldn't I just use a spire to prevent them from going off at all? N2 mines function very differently from just about any explosive I know of, But I should still be able to just screw with their chemical makeup rendering them obsolete.

Something to think about.

The issue with fixing this universe, with all of the damage, void taint, and all of the shit Adam pulled is rather simple.

I can't fix it, it's just to much. Even if I were to attempt it, the universe would die long before I fixed a single percent of the damage. So I'm not going to fix it, instead I'm going to prevent it.

As I described previously, Time is a fire and it burns the present universe. Turning the future into the present, before burning it all over again in an endless cycle. So in order to 'Heal' the universe I just need to momentarily convince it to burn backwards. The way I'm going to do that is both incredibly complicated and far simpler than you'd expect.

My plan is to essentially Swap out it's fuel source, so instead of burning the Present, it burns the Past. Unfortunately this is where the metaphor breaks down, because this is where things get complicated.

To even start I need more energy than this universe has ever held, I need so much energy that it is quite honestly ridiculous to calculate even by my standards. So how am I going to get to do it?

Simple really, I'm going to replicate the Big Bang.

Or well not simple, at all really, but phrasing it like it is makes me feel better about how easy it is for me to do it.

Misato Katsuragi wished she was drunk, sloshed, that she was so inebriated that she couldn't be held responsible for any of this shit. Because despite her every instinct warning against it, she had read the introduction booklets that the 'Commander' had provided.

She wasn't sure how, but she knew deep in her bones that the stupid robot was laughing at her.

How else was she suppose to take after reading that Humanity was suppose to be a repair protocol? Sure it was phrased all nice like, but she knew how to read between the lines.

Humans were suppose to be one race among thousands that would eventually find a way to 'heal' their wounded universe. The purpose of humanity was suppose to be one dedicated to helping, healing, and kindness. Yet looking back on what she knew of her race, and the explanation of what Adam had done?

They were failures, Humanity was too violent, too cruel.

How disappointed Lilith must be, to see the Race she had sacrificed so much to create had turned out?

Misato wasn't sure when she had started crying, but she did notice when Rei joined her in her tears. The Blue haired girl suddenly hugging her, clinging like a limpet as she sobbed into Misato's chest.

So she forced herself to cope, to think things through and hope that no they weren't disappointments, that no, Lilith wasn't going to just turn them into a slurry of Orange goo.

Because Misato Katsuragi had a child to take care of.

So the bloody ghost machine and it's Friendly god angel thing could take a hike.

AN: Been a while, and while I'd like to complain about just how much of a pain in the ass this chapter was, I won't. I just hope you guys like it.

This universe still doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, I get the PA Commander, but evangellion has always been the acid trip of anime.

nice chapter thx for writing it
fun seeing him trying to save the stuff
still saving the kid that mikoto wants would also make lilith happy

Or well not simple, at all really, but phrasing it like it is makes me feel better about how easy it is for me to do it.

So the PA Progenitor weapons are so bullshit that even their purpose built machine of death that wiped own universe sterile is afraid to think about it... And just how easy it is to build these weapons compared to their effects.

Fun!

Also I love just how much personality everything has. Practically wagging spears, universe holding itself together because it really wants that one girl not to die (and her children), etc...

Entry 44
-One hour before-

Rei Ayanami was, perplexed? Yes that fit, Rei was perplexed as she stared at the Creator of everything she had ever known.

Lilith, the second angel, the only progenitor that had not only stayed course, sticking to it's original goal regardless of secondary factors, but the last Black Moon.

Rei could tell, Lilith was still in denial, still hoping that some other Progenitor had managed to both resist Adams madness and avoid the Mindless beasts that had used to be her siblings. Rei somehow knew, through the odd knowledge that was spilling into her mind coming from some deep recess of her soul, that all of the others were dead.

Was somehow able to recall memories not her own, of a spear wet with Progenitor blood, of countless broken, violated moons.

So Rei knew, that despite having all the information, Lilith refused to acknowledge that she had either killed or stumbled upon the bodies of every progenitor ever born.

It made her sad.

Or it would have had she been capable of the feeling at the moment. However at this time Rei simply wasn't capable of it, an odd strained feeling in her chest preventing any emotion aside from emptiness. It was as though she had pulled an emotional muscle, and until it 'healed' she would just be empty.

Hollow.

Rei didn't like it, and she was beginning to feel like she wasn't going to like Lilith either. The white giant just standing there looking at her with seven wide fascinated eyes. It brought back memories she didn't want to think about, memories of the first Rei Ayanami and her childhood. One filled with far to many needles, death, and tragedy.

She would give anything for Lilith to actually do something, to explain why she knew things or for it to just leave her alone.

The Angel's whole body shuttered. Pulling back in a jerky motion, like it had been slapped.

Had it just? No Rei hadn't been speaking aloud, just thinking so it couldn't have heard her thoughts.

Could it?

Before she could bother to contemplate it any further something slammed into Rei's mind. A wave of pictures and feelings not her own, that felt familiar all the same.

They were confusing, contradictory, and almost impossible to decipher.

Yet Rei found herself doing so easily, like it was a language she had known all her life just expressed through a different medium.

'Hello Soulbearer.' She understood, she knew their meaning, and yet as their meaning registered within her mind all Rei wanted to do was cry.

Soulbearer, Soulbearer, Soulbearer.

Rei Ayanami, didn't frown, didn't cry, or even show an emotion on her face as even her eyes went completely blank.

But in her mind? Rei Ayanami Drowned.

The halls passed Rei in a blur as she stumbled pass doors, tears pooring down her face as she did her best to put as much distance between her and Lilith as possible.

She knew it wasn't fair, that Lilith wasn't the one that had wronged her, But Rei didn't care.

They had spoken for what seemed like hours, but time only passed in minutes despite the sheer volume of information that had been exchanged. Lilith had all told, been rather kind trying to explain what had been done to them, to Rei as kindly as she could.

Rei had always been cold, had always struggled with showing emotion, or even recognizing that she was feeling emotions at all. Even so how was she suppose to react? How was one suppose to feel upon being told that their soul was not only not their own, but that it was fragmented one. A small infinitesimal shard stolen from a god?

She certainly didn't know, sniffling as a fresh wave of tears seared her cheeks and blurred her vision. She wiped them away with her forearm, only to realize where her feet had taken her.

From a biological standpoint, Rei's mother had been Yui Ikari.

From A spiritual standpoint, Lilith had been the only reason she had lived at all. Didn't that also give her the title of mother?

But from an emotional standpoint? Rei had made her choice, even if only subconsciously and it was shown by just where she had ended up in her distress.

So without even thinking, Rei threw the door open and practically jumped into the occupants arms.

The door however banged against the concrete wall before drifting silently shut.

On said door in bold Print read "Office Of Major Misato Katsuragi"

AN: Why do I keep writing angst? This was suppose to be a comedy dammit! Really I have no Idea where this chapter came from, one second I was going to write robot shenanigans, then Rei showed up out of nowhere.
