Okay, do you mean Divided Loyalist Quest with shadow mage? I remember she used WAAAGH field against them but I don't remember THAT part. I guess something further in the quest I didn't read about.
Spoilers for Divided Loyalties, which I would highly recommend everyone reading (although not for thread related reasons (probably))
Mathilde Webber, Grey Wizard Magister of the Empire, goes along with Belegar Ironhammer's reclamation of Karak Eight Peaks. Along with other misadventures, such as stealing power from Gork & Mork, Mathilde set up an array that tapped into the fires of the Dawi underworld to turn a mountain into a death weapon capable of atomising a small WAAAGH all at once. Which she did.

Oooooh that one. Now I remember it. Yeah, I read that. I am more stuck on the part of the quest with them traveling to North Holds to see if they survived.

After they take back Eight peaks, when Waagh Birdmuncher comes in. Next major battle, not too far from where your are now.

Edit: nvm. yeah, the count of the Waagh was roughly 1mil and half of them came into the valley. Cue the Eye

I will say, it would be great to have a lot of trees for our future industry. Are there mountains near Kingdom of Beast?

Edit: I look at wiki and I see that Serpant Coast has a port so that is a bonus.

To the west are the southern reaches of the World's Edge Mountains, also called the Great Mountains.

And ports, actually.

I presume we will either take over one of these cities, which either is in ruins or occupied by small force...or we could build the city from the start.

I will say, that I feel like some of the traits of Gorzhra Fieryskin would create some kind of synergy and create another trait.

Could a someone who knows the lore well tell me why someone* bullying a necromancer into making undead to work for them is a bad idea? Or atleast why orcs wouldn't do that?
Because it feels like a terrible idea that would backfire in my mind, but all I have to back that up is that necromancy is evil/corruptive.

It is because they are using Dhar as a force to raise the undead to live. Dhar is very much corruptive in nature and that is why models of necromancers in Total War look cranky, old and almost like skeletons.

Using lots of Dhar can corrupt the land, making it inhospitable. It also transform those using it into megalomaniacal psychopaths, who would have control over a good chunk of our workforce and a lot of firepower at their disposal. Any weakening of our strength would raise the risk of them rebelling against us precisely when we can least afford it.

So be it…I wish we'd taken up traits for handling beasts if we were going to go here, but it is what it is. At least we have a boar herder.

I have always been curious if it would be possible to combine the discipline and armor of the Black Orc with the savagery and primal mystic power of the Savage Orc. Perhaps we can bridge the gap…

Is it possible to end up with beast-based units that substitute wolves/spiders/boars for local equivalents @Dragonofelder ?

Here's an idea folks: use the idol to beat large dinosaurs into submission or just restrain them, so they can be tamed with primal magic and broken in by our boar herder.

Not bad idea but I imagine it would be hard anyway because they were created by Old Ones so they are more likely to hear out a human than orc.
How are we going to be keeping all our boyz from fighting long enough to build a city?
The jungle will leave them busy, especially Black Orcs.
