Anderson Quest: Killing Vampires and Werewolves and Leprechauns (Hellsing/Bloodborne)

[X] Explain yourself, then grill for information

Let's hold off on the ventriloquism if only because we're not trying to convince her we're mad.

And as to the speech.. it's probably not that one.. it's probably this one.

14:30 if the link eats the time code.

[X] Explain yourself, then grill for information

So, with these mentions of Eileen, Gascoigne, and Djura being old friends, does that mean that this-
-is canon for the quest?

Update tomorrow. These next few days might be a bit inconsistent with the updating.

Enjoy this fine tale from higgsbison about the invention of the Kirkhammer.

Dad on the Run
You have many questions about the leap from "Gascoigne isn't here" to "welp, time to put his ass in the ground," but EIleen's tone of voice implies that those come later.

"As I said, I'm Alexander Anderson of Iscariot. They call me the Bayonet Priest, Saint Guillotine, God's Assassin, and a buncha other things. Got a list somewhere, usually bring a pen with me just in case someone comes up with a new one. I woke up in some kinda Dream thing with a giant doll and a guy in a wheelchair tellin' me about monsters and heathen churches and figured this place needed some cleanup."

She does not visibly react to your mentions of dreams and dolls. This is both welcome and worrying.

"I'm helpin' Doctor Iosefka because she's good people. Once we get to Oedon Chapel, she can get back ta doctorin' while I pay the Church a visit. As for what I can do..."

You fill your hands with bayonets and dramatically sweep them forward, hurling waves of bayonets into a nearby wall. You cross your arms and beam with pride as Eileen examines your handiwork.

"'Ihis?'"

"No, it says 'This.'"

"It looks like 'Ihis.'"

"How does it look like 'Ihis?'"

"You barely crossed the 'T.'"

With a sigh, you throw another two bayonets to widen the top of the letter. Lord, it's like arguing the daily crosswords with your grandmother. Now that you think about it, you haven't heard from Granny Anderson in a while. Probably broke out of the nursing home again. Hopefully she didn't take a hostage this time.

"Satisfied?"

"Yes, actually."

She puts her hand on the mask's beak contemplatively.

"Two questions: what is 'Iscariot' and how did you enter the Dream without being a Hunter?"

"'A top-secret organization dedicated ta riddin' the world o' evils worse than man' and 'fucked if I know,' respectively."

You think you hear a sigh from behind the mask.

"Trust me, that's exactly how I've felt all night," you assure her. "Now for my question: what's all this about killin' Gascoigne?"

She shushes you and waves you farther away from the door.

"When I said he wasn't in the best of health, I meant that he has the plague. Some days he can barely remember his own name, but he's been able to resist the change for quite some time. If he's gone out on the Hunt, it means he knows his time is up. Why did Viola have to follow him, she knew what was wrong with him..."

"If I might interject," you interject, "how are we supposed ta find him?"

"Process of elimination. Where all have you been?"

"I've been ta the bridge and cleared out most of the area on the opposite side. No sign o' the man, 'less he was one o' those beasts. Killed a real big one with horns up there."

"If Gascoigne had gone that way, all that would have been left for you to find would be mangled corpses. That likely leaves the area closer to Cathedral Ward, around...Oedon Chapel. Seems we both have a vested interest in making a path there."

You nod, grinning at the potential for buddy-cop shenanigans. That said, you do still have a doctor to worry about, although she did mention that the erstwhile Father had done some work to secure the place. How shall the Great Gascoigne Hunt proceed?

[] Trust the security of Gascoigne's home, go after him together

[] Stay behind to guard Iosefka while Eileen goes after Gascoigne

[] Try to talk Eileen into guarding Iosefka, go after him yourself

[] Write in...

[x] Put up a barrier. Sure it didn't quite work last time, but then again, you had it set on gentle. You feel no such obligation to guarantee patient safety now. ...Although you should probably give them a heads up before you do it, to avoid unintentional splatting.

...Maybe put up a sign or something too?

Edit: Maybe two barrier layers, with the outer set to "Taser", and the inner set to "Flambé".
