Anderson Quest: Killing Vampires and Werewolves and Leprechauns (Hellsing/Bloodborne)

Well now I feel stupid. In fairness who would have guessed one of the toughest fights in the game is an idiot who cant actually fight?

If you actually watch him in the game, he very obviously over-swings, over-extends all his thrusts, and has pretty obvious windups to his overhead attacks. While he's very strong and fast with potent weapons, he's about as predictable as something from Monster Hunter.

It's not really all that surprising that he's an amateur here.

Yeah, the most dangerous part about fighting the Bloody Crow is how much damage he does, how fast he dashes, and how much HP he has.

His patterns are actually pretty simple.

Technically everyone using that sword has the exact same move set. You might as well say the same for eileen or djura.

So the sword is cursed to make all its wielders crappy fighters?

More like who needs skill when you can run faster than Eileen, punch harder than quite a few of he bosses, have a gun that can one shot low level players, can take like 20 eldritch tentacles to the face Ok, and have a large supply of healing potions to top yourself off with.

More like designers programmed all the weapons move sets to look cool rather than to be functional. Which is understandable when they include things like a sword lodged in a big rock.

Doesn't change the fact that Arseface never demonstrates actual skill in game, and has innate strength that means he doesn't really need skill, so why should he be given skill in writing?
Why should Eileen, djura and steve be given skill?

According to the wiki he only actually has one potion. Cant confirm or deny that but it is a sneaky trick from the developers if its true.

Or maybe we could wait untill we kill him before talking about how unskilled he is so he can't surprise us by showing how skilled he actually is

Because they're used to being physically lesser than their enemies while the Bloody Crow is not? It wouldn't make sense for them to survive being on the level of having just picked up a sword for the first time, while it's perfectly logical for Mr. Lolstats.
I suppose but it would probably have been logical to give him a bit more than no training at all as well. Also they are pretty much stronger than most of the things they fight as well you know. Baring big fuckers like the vicar anyway.

Yeah, no argument there. The thing is that, when you fight him, you can predict almost everything he's going to do in a given situation. Compared to some of the other hunters, his AI feels pretty simple. Maybe it's just how many times I had to fight him? Heh.

Apparently he starts to use his powered up version much less after he uses his potion since he cant heal anymore. According to the wiki anyway.

[X] If ye have the strength for it, put a ward up around the bastard and wait for him to test it. Then start quoting some Boondock's Saints at him. But be ready, you recognize that frantic grabbin'.
-[X] If ye can't make the ward work, then quote anyway, but make sure to pin him down with some explosive bayonets every couple of words, too. Can't be lettin' him get too relaxed while he's reachin' for his Ace in tha Hole. Keep him scared, angry, unbalanced.
--[X] Have a good laugh as he whips it out right as yer party crackers go off, blowing him to kingdom come!
---[X] Be ready to play cricket with the remains. Everything and their mother 'round here can either regenerate or turn into some kinda fucked up monstrosity, and ye don't want to give whatever's left o' him a chance to mess around with ye.

Well, making my own vote. Seriously, Bane has some awesome lines about overconfidence.

Well yeah but unless he was holding back the whole time he looks like some rando they gave super powers to rather than a real hunter. Lord only knows what the hell is going on in cainhurst.

Cainhurst currently filled with the wailing dead and those fucking annoying stupid mosquito bitches that are a pain in the ass against anything and everything.

Fuck those things.
