Anderson Quest: Killing Vampires and Werewolves and Leprechauns (Hellsing/Bloodborne)

Eeehh, Anderson went through four out of eight of the bastard's arms on the first half of the fight with just the ye olde reliable bayonets and Ludwig's blade (btw, are we going to find the blade when we get back? it kinda got tossed somewhere outside the church). So I don't think they'd amount to much if we use them as materials, barring some pagan ritual or Old One fuckery that Anderson wil not touch even with a consecrated ten-foot pole.
I dunno

Irony can do a lot to break a spirit

Anyone got plans that need doing here in the dream? Or are we going back to the waking world ASAP?
We need to rest. Anderson's body didn't pass out on a whim. It needs time to heal, and us going back into a world of pain and trying to move about is only going to make the situation worse.

Besides which, now that we have a tool for fortifying our weapons, we should see about imbuing a few of our bayonets and Ludwig's Holy Blade with a little extra (or, in the latter's case, a lot of extra) oomph. Though before that we should press Gehrman for information about what exactly we just fought.

Ludwig's blade (btw, are we going to find the blade when we get back? it kinda got tossed somewhere outside the church).
The Messengers could probably grab it for us if we ask them.

We don't have Ludwig's holy blade. It got thrown away.

I also don't really see how we can improve our blade if it requires us to do stuff that Alexander would consider pagan.

I don't think hammering ore into weapons is necessarily pagan? There's no religious element to the reinforcement procedure, as far as I can tell. Assuming we use Bloodstone.

There isn't really a thing in Bloodborne for using Great One bits to make weapons.

Our bayonets are blessed. Not only that but they are made out of modern materials. And modern steel is so much better than what we could get around here.

The Messengers should be more than capable of finding the blade and returning it to us. They're helpful little guys like that.

What's pagan about it? Its not like we're invoking the name of Shub-Niggurath to grant the weapons additional strength.

If your objections with 'sullying' our bayonets, then we can just focus on the holy sword.

Cite for that? Given that Yharnam apparently has the ability to make mercury into an effective projectile and have made complex weaponry like the threaded cane, I think you may be underestimating their talent with metalworking.

Yeah the assertion that their metalworking is less impressive than what we've got is a little strange. Especially since they work with some outright magical materials like the siderite that goes into the Blade of Mercy.

General knowledge. If you went back in time with a steel sword made with modern steel it would go right through the stuff they used back then. You would also be considered insanely rich do to the quality of the metal. However i may be wrong since i had made that statement with out knowing about that weapon or that they could use mercury as a projectile.

Isn't that done by mixing it with blood? I don't think there's much mundane science behind Quickslver bullets.

Mercury is not normally conducive to being shot out of anything. It's liquid at room temperature. They probably did something to the material when they made it into bullets. Adding blood is probably just step one. What about two through twelve?

[X] "Well, I got the shit kicked outta me, but that's only the second time I've managed to kill a pagan god. Pretty good on the balance.
-[X] "A bit let down, honestly. Didn't even have to exorcise its unquiet spirit, let alone pry loose its squamous talon-grip on our reality. I'm starting to think that thing was just a jumped-up giant invisible spider."
--[X] "But enoof aboot me. Have ye thought of a name ye like for yerself?"

Kind of worried about the Great One corpse lying around in front of the chapel. It may attract crazies trying to line their brains with eyes or attempting to transcend humanity by experimenting on it. I don't want those guys so close to our safehouse.

that's fine, we'll just reapply the ward later and then check in on it every now and again like you do with the bug zapper you keep at home

Just out of curiosity - if we go by the WMG (Wild Mass Guessing) about Bloodborne's connection to Demons Souls will Anderson end up in the Nexus when this is all done? I suppose going from killing Great Ones (Pagan Gods) to killing actual demons will be like Christmas to the paladin.

Anderson: Are ye saying ye want me to go to all these places...and kill actual demons?

Maiden in Black: Yes.

Anderson: Where do I start?

"So this big bad thing that nobody could fight is a Old One?"
"Yes, we have to lull it to sleep."
"Stand aside, woman. I've killed plenty of Old One's before, one more won't be too hard."

Imagine his reaction if the Maiden tells him her usual line about "touching the demon inside her".

"...Ma'am, I took a vow."

So can we just admit that this story is only the first part in an epic trilogy? First Anderson goes to Yharnam...and kills all the Great Ones and their followers.

Then he's transported to the Nexus where he has the time of his life hunting down living, breathing demons (Him finding out about Maiden Astraea is going to be rather touching) and defeat another false god. Anderson taking down the Dragon God would be epic...and oh boy...when he meets Patches...

Once that's over he heads to the world of Dark Souls...with all the followers he gathered on his journey...and fights against even more false gods. Anderson would be literally leading a crusade through all of Fromsoftware's universes. I can't see Anderson's meeting with Kingseeker Frampt going well at all...
