Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 16: Playful Parasites Pervert Prayer, Perpetuate Plagues

My first stab at the Hover Throne. I had too much fun with it, so now it's Artifact 3. Whoops.

Never say I didn't give you anything.

WCM'S HOVER THRONE (Artifact ●●●○○)

Beyond its computing and tactical capabilities as a command center, the right armrest contains a dispenser for a programmable replicator, which feeds from a two-foot-cube tank accessible from the back of the chair. New items can be programmed into the replicator by placing it in the fuel tank, though WCM herself only had several types of tea (sweet and normal), a version of her heirloom tea set, and pastries programmed into the device.
Nice. Could indeed prove useful. What are the limits of the replicator in terms of output type (i.e. what can't it replicate?)?

And this is why we had you stat it out :D

We have a pastry replicator? Totally worth millions in antimatter fuel, even if we couldn't TIE-cheat.

We have officially become a "Techno- Queen".

Krak-Thoom?

It's got to fit in the 2ft cube that is its tank. It can't copy/generate essence or essence-based materials, but other than that pretty much whatever... but it still needs the raw materials in the tank to make whatever you're replicating. Items replicated are identical to what you copied originally, however - dollar bills have identical serial numbers, for example.

Can it duplicate Tinkertech?
How flexible is it about "raw materials?" Could you put in graphite and steel to make a diamond ring, for example?

If the answer to either of those is yes, it might be too powerful for Art 3.

By "raw materials", do you mean the specific materials that the item would require anyway, or a generic feedstock which could become anything non-Essence-based?

Edit: Aishaed!

As of now what Bonesaw did to Missy and the others can be reversed between Taylor, Sirkallah, and Amy (and maybe a rehabilitated or at least suitably cowed or awed Riley). No need to rush any of them to the pinhole yet.

The thing is, we can't LEGALLY Exalt Missy until our deadline closes. The S9 injuries gives us a solid excuse to fix her without substantial legal repercussions, something which won't happen otherwise.

So, the Hover Throne provides us with...
-Flight (not really useful. Already had it).
-A weak force-field (moderately useful).
-The world's best 3D-printer (best case scenario is that it can replicate tinkertech, and being able to replicate tinkertech was already one of Taylor's schticks).

...
OK, I don't want to be rude, but this sounds really underwhelming. This device sounds like it's only a couple notches above useless to Taylor, considering the capabilities of her current power armor.
Am I missing something here?

Exalting Missy (or any underage candidate currently altered or otherwise hurt) to save her should only be out of genuine and pressing need. We should not be using her current condition as an excuse or justification to get around legal complications. Honestly...the idea disgusts me. Partly because it doesn't take into account what Missy's preference might be when there are still viable alternatives. Maybe she would prefer being restored and just a normal parahuman. If she is willing to become Exalted after we restore her...we can cross/burn the bridge of legal concerns when we get there.

A 3D printer we can use to manufacture things on the go. Things like more bug drones, if we knew how to make them(we do). It's for field production of tools, We couldn't make large projects or experiment with it, but I'm PRETTY sure our orange-drones fit int othe bay too.

Also it has an antimatter core, so in the last resort...well it'd be spectacular.

Hey, Mr. Gromweld. Could we use the knowledge we gained from studying Dragon's suit to make her human enough for Autochthon to Exalt her? Or will it be possible to Exalt her at all in this story?

IC vs OOC.

Factors:
-Missy is one of the most likely candidates to agree. IIRC in canon she doesn't even expect to live to 20 with her career, and her body...getting nearly killed by Hookwolf was a 'minor concern' that she could deal with just first aid. She's got the scars of a veteran, and dissatisfaction with her own body.
-She meets all the qualifications(attitude, skills, powers) and is a character we mostly want to see more of.
-She has already been grievously modified. Even Wyld has limitations in what she can fix without making it worse if Bonesaw did enough damage. From the looks of it Bonesaw had been doing brain damage.
-She's in danger and will continue to be in danger from associating with us. Exaltation is the best thing we could do for her in that regards short of leaving her on another planet.

Well, we did just get handed the ruling that TIE can fabricate antimatter ex nihilo. I'm sure that can't be gamed or misused by any means whatsoever... :D

On a more serious note, the thing is a mobile command center built for multitasking and coordination with rapid, high volume, small scale fabrication capability--how isn't this a perfect tool for EOA/Taylor? I realize she can absorb things and get instinctive knowledge on how it's built and what it does, but I don't think it can make (edit: new) things from nothing, nor make things nearly as fast as this replicator seems to be implied to be capable of.

(edits: punctuation and a clarification)

"the left armrest folds up to reveal projectors for three hard-light keyboards and nine monitors - the keyboards went mostly unused by WCM due to her technopath-like power, but were installed as a backup should she ever run into a power-negator. The cluster of computers and servers in the Hover Throne are high-end Tinkertech, complete with several high-band antennas to hook into radio and wireless signals, and retractable cords with universal adapters - the combination allowing for physical and wireless connections to nearly any computer system."
it's also a really High-end computing rig

why would you want to?
Dragon Unchained is way more useful seeing as she's a Seed AI with a huge budget, can be in multiple places at the same time, and is nearly unkillable.
