A Villain In A World Of Heroes

[X] Train. With our knowledge of what we can now do, find a way to incorporate them into battle techniques. Find something that suits you and stick to it. (Develop a fighting style)

Methinks we could do with more spells. Perhaps it's time to venture into town to acquire books on magic and other skills, as well as other items, before reentering the woods once more?

if we leave the forest the trial of blood should end for good
also I want to find an animal so that we can test the horn

Been brought up several times, we are worried that if we leave the forest, the Trail of Blood will end. It feels ritual-y, cause I highly doubt that under normal circumstances you get anything from eating a things heart. Either that, or humans are unique in that regard (for some reason), cause considering the carnivores of the forest have been at this their whole life, they probably have eaten a good number of hearts, and don't have tons of different magical abilities for some reason. Thanks to the Ferric Wolf, we might get more power from eating things still, just no new abilities.
The only way to find out is to test it, and if it does turn out that it does end it, we can't turn back. So would rather not.

I guess we have to just get lucky and hope a mage conveniently died somewhere in the woods, leaving behind his robe and wizard hat spellbook.

Actually quite likely; it's just that the things that finished him off will, presumably, be close by...

[X] Train. Try to get used to our abilities, so that we aren't over (or under!) estimating ourself in life or death situations.
-[X] If we get thirsty, stick an Icebolt into a tree with the end closest us pointing downwards, and hold a fireball near it so that it melts, using our water skin to catch the water running off of it.

What better form of training is there than live combat? Of course, we might die, but what's life without a little danger (plus, training takes a LOT more time to be effective than I feel like us investing right now. Like, weeks of concentrated hard work. We'd be better of grinding the monsters, and then training once we are done here).

I want to train because I feel like we'll be going back to town soon, and I want to at least get that out of the way before shit finally hits the fan.

when we get to town ,which shouldn't realy happen anytime soon, we can pay a soldier for actual useful martial instruction , and because we lack any foundation at this point theres not much we can actualy get from training ,since we don't know how or what to practice

You know, since we can make the ice bolts really thin, we could just put them in the water skin and let them melt naturally. Nice, cold drink whenever we want it. Just keep spamming the thin ones.

I really just want Cedra to know what her limits are. Adding things to her move list is the whole point of this exercise, not really getting better at anything (Except for maybe Unicorn Horn usage?).

Not really, because the icebolts magically spread frost wherever they hit. Maybe if we wanted a slushy we could make really tiny ones the size of our nails?

You can now lift FIVE pebbles and can control one within your line of sight at up to twenty feet away.
Yes! Five Pebbles! Woo! We're already 500% stronger than when we started! We are so ready for anything! (this is a joke)
For your final test, after taking frequent rests between the previous ones, you try and channel your power through the horn. It succeeds, and a beam of light shines out of it. You aren't sure what this beam does, however. When you point it a the trees and ground, and even the sky, nothing happens. Now that your testing is done, what will you do?
We now have a flashlight! No more stumbling about in the dark for us!

edit: damn ninja T.T

We are far from ready to head to back to town I think, and training without any knowledge of what we are trying to accomplish, especially without an instructor, isn't going to lead to much. Also, all those tests had the benefit of telling us most of our limits as far as our spells go.

@Dark Ness about how long did the testing take? (alternate: about what time of day is it?)

edit2: added in the water part (why didn't I ever think of that! T.T)
