A Villain In A World Of Heroes

....

You rolled a natural 100.

I am not even sure what spell(s) to give you now.

I am now taking suggestions on May hundred spells. Go nuts.

Umm... something to leech heat out of a target and use it to heal you?

A ritual that drastically boosts the gains from eating hearts?

Obviously the Wish spell is right out, even for a nat hundred...

How about a spell that just completely freezes everything in a radius except you?

Ohh, shiny?

Create our own spell? More like steal an OP enough one from somewhere!

1) Corvo's time slow from Dishonored - Not the full timestop, just the slow.
2) Frost ulti from Warframe - Freeze and Shatter every enemy in range. (if their HP is low enough)
3) Nekros ulti from Warframe - Summon a copy of something you (recently) killed.
4) Teleport of some kind. Maybe short, maybe long range, no idea.
5) "These aren't the droids you are looking for." - Some Jedi like mind tricks
6) Track - automagically know where the person/object is. Maybe need to tag first, or need something from them?
7) Voodoo Doll making.
8) Lightning Strikes. Anywhere we want.
9) Aimbot enchant. Weapon enchanted with this spell will never miss. (or maybe 'only' a + [halfofdicemax] on rolls.)
10) Elementals of the more dangerous kind.
X) No, I'm out atm. Will come up with some more later.

Edit 1:
11) Anti Magic field/touch
12) Cutting trough walls like Faultline
13) "And now you are on fire" - The ability to set stuff on fire from a distance.
14) A cloneing ability.
15) Illusions. Changing how we look, where we are, make it so it looks like there are two of us.
16) A spell that let's us controll plants.
17) Winter's Semblance from RWBY - Summon bird like creatures that swarm the target.
18) Far Strike - Extend the cutting edge of a blade.
19) Dark Vision from Dishonored again - See trough walls/highlight people/animals/traps
20) Do we have mana here? I think we do, but it was a long time ago. If yes, an ability to steal it.

... Some sort of (powerful?) permanent passive ability/aura?

I have to think further about this incredibly lucky result.

You are thinking something like Accelerator? (I haven't actually seen it yet, but I read Chibipoe's fic so I know the basics)
Something like that would be nice, but maybe a bit too OP for the setting. Maybe a magic weakening field?

All magic near us (except ours) loses power, harder to cast, or something like that?

Maybe something a little less ...obvious as magical interference and more helpful for us in doing things.
Maybe this will (help?)
Magic Aura

summon bigger fish?

a passive life sense that makes it hard to ambush or sneak up on us?

summon meteor like madara?

a ritual that allows us to multicast by increasing our intellect or giving us the ability to multitask? i imagine older wizards and heroes are not limited to 1 spell at a time and eventually learn to cast them simultaneously, we just do that years earlier than them with this ritual?

a ritual that gives a general bonus to casting magic?

a spell that allows us to siphon magic from living things via touch?

a ritual that increases our mana capacity?

Those are ideas, it might take a day or two to hash out a good result of this nat 100.

For today, someone very special came into the shop, a hero.

If a hero buys from your shop, you can expect more business, more money, more fame. It is an automatic boost to a shop, and get take a small-time place, to one of the most prosperous in the city. You know it's a hero, because he has that special something, that you have heard about. You can recognize that this is someone chosen by fate, even if you can't pin down what makes you feel this way.

Hmm... Come to think of it, the above passage seems to imply that this is the first time a hero has come into the shop.

And yet...

"I bought this armour and was told it was fire-proof, but the leather burned and disfigured my arm.

Did this guy have the wrong leatherworker, by any chance?

Also he probably took 'fire-proof' to mean 'fire-immune', bought it because it was much cheaper than enchanted materials, fought a dragon/etc, got burned through over-confidence/not protecting his full body and then came back and killed everyone before they could explain.

He was a stupid self-centered asshole.
We may only have a few years before he gets killed by another hero because of this.

So, I had some ideas about this aura thing.

1) Elemental Aura - Basically same as an elemental, but we control it instead of giving commands.
2) Energy stealing - Constantly steal energy from around us, making us stronger/faster/less tired/etc. It could make everything colder in it's radius, so it fits our theme.
3) Agression/Calmness aura. - Makes everyone more calm or agressive (duh) in it's area.
4) Sense life - what it says. we know where are alive things around us.
5) Confusion aura - Make a guess.

1 You didn't explain what it did other than we control it.
2 that would allow us to be easily noticed when we try hiding/magic interference is obvious.
Having an easily countered theme is a bad idea.
3 not really useful on anything other than fighting and specifically animals who can't control themselves.
4 potentially useful, also doesn't detect undead.
5 only for fighting, rather bad at that as well, easily noticed when we try hiding/etc.

Hopefully these would be things we could turn off, more an active/inactive effect than a permanent passive aura.

are you looking for something useful right away or something useful later or something that will stick with us throughout forever?

Right Away:
Familiar Binding
Better Attack
Defence of Some Sort
Later:
Super Expensive Ultimate Instant Kill Attack of Unavaoidable Unblockedness
Better Golem (like, the Gundam of Golems)
Ritual for Improving some stat
Throughout Forever:
Minor Probability Manip (was that twig there? why did I just trip on a pebble? Did those Dice just roll five sixes in a row?)
Weapon Summoning/Enchanting
A simple, easy, cheap, effective spell (something like, I dunno, FUS from Skyrim?)
Predistigation Type Spells (yes, I know there ISN'T a Predistigation, I meant either multiple spells or something like "Minor Telekinesis"

I'm just throwing spells at a wall to see what sticks.

If you want a permanently on aura that's unnoticablr, then I can't really think of anything other than spells that let us detect stuff or control something that isn't people. And probably even those will be noticed by sufficently trained wizards.

Your father sold his goods to a merchant. The hero bought the stuff from a merchant. The merchant said that he got the stuff from here, ie, blamed your father.
are you looking for something useful right away
Yes
or something useful later
Yes
or something that will stick with us throughout forever?
No

Sorry, no Auras. That is a trait, not a spell. No permantly enhancing yourself either.

@Dark Ness Anything you like from the ones we wrote?

More ideas:

1) Targeted debuffs (Slowness/weakness/no magic/etc)
2) Spell that turns target into stone (or Ice to fit theme)
3) Summon something/anything. (Use random word generator and the spell summons that. Changes every time)
4) Change gravity strenght
5) Cristal Maiden ulti from Dota2 - summon ice projectiles and drop them in an area.

Serendipity? Some kind of spell that makes everything work out just right for a day or an hour or for an event or whatever (and then couldn't be cast for a while so it wouldn't be completely overpowered) Mechanically this could be emulated (Is that the word I'm looking for? Doesn't sound quite right.) by all random events/loot rolls etc, (pretty much everything that doesn't require a skill check) defaulting to the best roll. Maybe giving a bonus to other rolls too?

Well, if it's 100, we're talking about spells on par with Blizzard right?
sooo:
- Luck spell: Auto-crit on one physical action (searching something, hitting something)
- Rewind: reroll one action (wish it'd be go back one update, but alas. :V)

Maybe a Notice Me Not spell, making us invisible/impossible to remember/ to unimportant looking to care about.

Or a SEP field we can cast on an area. That would be really useful.
