This is a very good point!

Not to mention doing this locks us out of trinity which is very displeasing since that is currently the most interesting thing for me. Also I am not convinced that people won't just follow the synergy all the way down the sword rabbit hole.

These I can't endorse, though. Trinity is a promised Blurb, but all promised blurbs are equally shiny to me. I'm no less excited by the Blade special advancement. I understand aesthetics are hard to argue tho. Just wanted to point out that not everybody shares this preference.

The Self-Defeating Stance meme seems to point out that the thread isn't terribly interested in buying options with synergy :V
 
Does anybody here want to see what a 25 point Edeldross or Edeldross+Something Else conjunctional advancement looks like? Sidestep the trinity vs 3 to an artifact debate completely(Edit: Or partially)? Would you like to? We'd probably see it with an ADS+PW Intelligence explosion and Edeldross training.

The question is how True Quintessence stacks up vs the Noble Praxis though. (Edit: If you were thinking of using PW to get True Quintessence access)

Edit2: Though the PW social boost to Gisena's advancement would be pretty ridiculous regardless of what system we take PW with.

I'm actually talking about it tripling Gisena's advancement rate, but that is a fun way to get a lot of the benefits of Total Eclipse very cheaply.

Honestly all three options offer avenues to enhance our Edeldross, though to different degrees and through different methods. Flare is perhaps the most tenuous, but the Blood Domain is, after all, what enabled us to awaken the power in the first place, so maybe it could do something. Renaissance Woman will see Gisena gain a deep understanding of Graces, as well as increasing her attributes, so she'll be able to help us more with developing Edeldross pseudo-Graces. ADS you have already covered.
 
As far as healing and restoration goes, you can find no better alternative than Crimson Flare in my opinion. The bullshit level of regen it would give to us and our allies would probably let us heal faster than we are hurt when facing most people.

Doom of Anti-Synergy - your build will never be synergetic. Your choices will branch out endlessly providing you with endless options that are shallow and unfocused. Feedback loops between systems are a distant dream. The worst part of the curse is that it will always offer you a chance to fix your problems, but it will always be ignored. Be it a stealth or a new magic system that does not provide synergy but sounds cool on paper, you will always select the inferior option. The curse subtly changes the mind of the Cursebearer, gaslighting him to think that the choices made are actually good. And after countless eons, when the curse runs it course, the poor Cursebearer will continue his self-destructive build path.

Or maybe Verschlengorge just caused it to persist via his Astral Rank. Who knows the mind of an Ereadhihr so venerable? Perhaps a thousand years is nothing more than the blink of an eye to such an existence.

There are infinite magic systems in the multivese. Many are limited and with overlapping capabilitiies. But what they offer is cool name, and what more do you need? Build paths are for schmucks.
