Hey, remember when one of these knights knocked us into second form? And now we run into a whole group while injured and dispatch them like "meh." Progression is some serious stuff.

Ffffuck. Letrizia triggered my curiosity button. How bad is a Sovereign Class? What are the other rankings? Gibbimi ranks pls

Oof. Agreeing with your dad that it was frivolous despite you really wanting it.

The tsundere started young for this one.

By the way, the whole arrangement of the Human Sphere reminds me a lot of LoGH. Though I suppose the geopolitical strength is flipped between the Republic and the Empire. The former seem just as corrupt though.

Also that rebel Knight was green? Were the knights actually more like fae all along? It would fit their craven nature.
I think it should be observed that not all our enemies are necessarily aligned. We might find that the knights are not happy allies of the Moon Civilization if we manage even a single diplomacy check against...anyone.
The Knight-Commander did have a trait that made diplomatic victory more likely. Hopefully we learn why that is.

I'm wondering how the association survives while being so much smaller and with less armaments. Also if the region of space inhabited by humanity is referred to as the Human Sphere does that mean there's alien spheres?

On a tangent what is the purpose of the mission assigned to us by Indenture? If the accursed is assigning the missions, why and for what reason? What's so important about uniting the Human Sphere for 50 years?

I imagine a group of Armament pilots must get pretty weird. They're all dealing with stuff like their mech draining all life in the solar system, or refusing to take orders, or doing whatever a pure of heart person asks and also refusing to harm someone who's surrendered, or the mecha makes everyone who encounters it hate it, or only has 1/4th of its power unless in turns into a monster and rampages... It's like a group of cursebearer minders.

Honestly a support group of cursebearer companions who complain about all the dumb shit the curses or cursebearers themselves cause would be pretty interesting.

But back on topic, probably every Armament pilot has crazy stuff that's happened to them because of Armament Curses. Heck, given that Armaments attract big deal Astral Raiders all the time they kinda deal with something like the Apocryphal Curse too.

That fact that she specified they needed to source mages from the Voyaging realm seems to indicate they don't have much impressive in the way of native magic. I remember Rihaku saying that for the average citizen life was pretty ho-hum, but thought they might have more punch for some specialized groups, seems not.

It's looking like some humans are making deals with Astrals in any case based on the coordination and then the follow up hit arranged.

Upon seeing how safe the escape was, my heart cries out for Ruling Ring...

Sweet sweet Progression, how I will mourn thee.

If this sort of Armament hijacking in what was supposed to be a neutral organization becomes a spark for war that could actually be good for us. We come out and join the Empire as a mercenary 'working' for Letrizia, she conquers a bunch of the Republic as part of her personal holdings and then 'gifts' them to us. Boom, we've got our starter empire.

Don't mind me, I'm just changing my location to "inside Rihaku's head".

You may want to check the original text around Ruling Ring / Preeminence / Chief Dominion...

You haven't even gotten to the dangerous part yet!

Wonder if we can heal her father, since we have both Pristine Star and Blood Ring

Pristine Star is unlikely to suffice, since Voyaging Realm mages weren't. The Ring of Blood, however...

If we did get Bloodslayer I wonder what the odds are it's capable of healing Hunger's wounds? We know what we had was insufficient but...

Hmm... if we regrew our arm through other means, would we still be capable of picking Ruinous Valor? Same question for our eye and Dreadnought's Bearing.

I was wondering why the other pilots were also her age or younger without the special circumstances, but then remembered reflexes/reaction speed are very important (How does that work with totality?) based on what we were told about Catherine. They're like e-sports gamers, old and thinking about retirement by 26.

Oh, he's not dead? Between her holding the title and using past tense to refer to him I thought the condition eventually killed him.

One arm fury @125% because of Blood Boost... except we have two arms and just have to be careful not to use our regrown-arm while we fight. It's the honor system!

I suspect the options would change if Hunger healed himself. Part of the reason the sacrifice options are stronger is because they aren't sacrificing power to heal the wounds, so if the wounds are already healed...

But surely then the sacrifice options would become even stronger since you're actively giving something up rather than accepting a loss?

They might simply vanish, since there is no longer a pre-existing wound to channel the effect through. We have no way to know.

But based on his IC behavior if we get a power capable of healing his wounds without serious cost Hunger will heal them immediately.

Poor Hunger, being forced to lose his arm twice...

I doubt he'd care!

The Archduke is not dead yet! Despite what the Emperor and Republic propagandists may say, the House of Artriez stands unbowed, perfectly capable of continuing the governance and defense of their hereditary territories! Besides, it's not like the death of an Archduke could be the spark of some catastrophic great war, stupid!
