A Lion's Pride (Closed Quest / ASOIAF)

A few moments to bring in someone who could make a huge difference. Never said spend hours with him, we're going out and trying to convince everyone we can to come with us anyway.

I think it needs rewording as well. It's contradictory.

Either way, we're going no matter what, even if we go alone.

We will beg and humble ourselves if we need to convince him.

I think it needs rewording as well. It's contradictory.

We can beg him to come without refusing to go ourselves if we fail to convince him by doing what ever we can. How is that contradictory?

Either way it was supposed to read: "if we need to, to convince him."

Edit: Anyone with a better write-in for bringing along the Blackfish is free to post. The important thing to me is that we at least try to bring him with us.

[X] You can't afford to wait for Arthur Dayne and the main camp. The Kingswood Brotherhood has no reason to stay in Westeros and Cersei might be long gone by the time you get to her. Take Gerold and as many good men as will follow you to pull off a rescue mission.
-[X] Bring Wenda with you. She could prove useful with her knowledge of the people and woods.
-[X] Try to convince Brynden to come with you: Tell him we're not someone prone to rash actions nor easily fooled, as he could see with Lord Tyrell. We would not act on this if there were nothing to back their claims. It makes sense according to the information the Prince found and according to their prior conduct. They do have Essosi on their side, this is just another piece of evidence. Either way, we're going no matter what, even if we go alone. But we know if we are to succeed with our loved ones intact we need his expertise. We will beg and humble ourselves if we need to convince him.

If the Fawn is truly convinced she was being used, that would be great.
There is no greater ally than a former enemy. Or something like that.
I still believe that it would be better to at least tell Sir Brynden, we have no reason to go alone or with just a few men.
We should take at least most able men who are currently here with us, this is our sister we're talking about.
However this amy take too long, so the simple compromise would be to take Wanda and Brynden, but to stay in command of all rescue-operations.

That's what the vote says; to bring as many good men as will follow you. I also don't like the write-in. If Brynden has eyes to see and ears to hear we don't need to convince him of our character; we just need to tell him that the hostages are in a separate, smaller camp away from the main, the bandits mean to ship the hostages off to Essos, and we need his mind and his sword or else we fear all is lost.

I would write it myself, but I'm flying blind and half-asleep. And hungry.

Too sleepy to do proper reasoning here, but I agree with what @Cxjenious said about the write-in.

-[X] Call Ser Brynden to arms. We have discovered that the hostages are being kept in a separate, smaller camp, away from the main brigand encampment. They mean to ship the hostages off to Essos. We have need of his sword and his mind, or else we fear all is lost.
-[X] Send men to the main camp to alert Ser Arthur Dayne of the foreign influence, as well as the exact location of the brigand encampment. If word could be sent to rouse the coastal lords, and have them seize any Essosi vessels sniffing about their ports, perhaps we might learn something of this hidden antagonist. Word should be sent to King's Landing as well. The Hand must know.

I like it. We're letting everyone know that we're going ahead while at the same time giving them directions to follow and we're telling Blackfish he is to come. We're basically calling on his honour rather than trying to persuade him, he can either come and get the glory if all goes as planned or he can stay behind and incur Ser Arthur's and the King's wraths when they find out he refused.

Own reasoning was posted before.
Nothing more to add, really like the write-in.
Also: yay I can vote, @Mazrick my name, however is spelled wrong, the o is not capitalised. I would appreciate the consideration with my developing OCD

I'm slightly hesitant to send men to Arthur's camp. How many would we be sending, and how many do we have available? I mean, if we only have fifteen men available and we send five to Arthur, we've pretty seriously reduced our available forces.

If we only have 15 men, why in God's name would we send 5 to deliver a message? This falls under Jaime the character not being stupid; I didn't think it necessary to specify.

It would be unnecessary to send more than two. The quickest too.

This.

I like this write-in, it's quite complete and covers pretty much everything we need to do. Given that there's a possibility of losing the hostages completely if they're taken from Westeros we really have no choice but to move immediately. Sending word back to Arthur will just take too long unfortunately. Let's hope it goes well...
