[X] "Perform the ritual and give me the power of a dragon."
No matter what the soul is, consuming a sentient spirit is undeniably evil. In-fact, what you're saying right now is an excuse some black mages use in-universe to justify the things they do: "He was evil. I ate him, and now put his power to good use."It is evil if that Soul was innocent! For my part he deserves it. You know that he won't really die right? That he would go unpunished to whatever place he would go or live on as a spirit.
AH! @Oshha ! I feel like you should add the fact that we need to give our thanks to Beronica. This is important and Artoria will learn from it.
Sounds to me like the ritual is the only moral option, it's what he would've wanted. The dragon will probably be caught by some angelic reaper and sent to draconic afterlife, sooner or later. Alternatively, if he overpowers said reaper/s, then he will remain to haunt the place he died in.
Good thing the gods choose to ignore usEating a soul denies one the afterlife, and Gods respect ALL creation equally. It is a heinous, but ultimately forgivable act in the eyes of Heaven, but that doesn't change the fact it's something really serious to delve into. The only reason people won't have Artoria's head on a pike is because Pyndwyn was evil in the first place, so they can close an eye once or twice.
Hey, I'm trying to write my own plan for the best of both worlds and I was wondering, what's the limit of the number of actions before they're ineffective?
Sounds to me like the ritual is the only moral option, it's what he would've wanted.
No, because while I am against it personally, I will be greatly amused if it wins.@Nevil Could I ask convince you to break the tie and vote against the ritual?
Sounds to me like the ritual is the only moral option, it's what he would've wanted.
Good thing the gods choose to ignore us
Seven.
No it is not. It has been outright stated to be evil.
No, they haven't.
This was meant to be a hero quest originally, but...No, because while I am against it personally, I will be greatly amused if it wins.
I am not invested in this vote, as I find it completely acceptable to go the way of dark rituals and blood sacrifices. And Tavish with this whole Nasu-expy thing gets on my nerves, so if we do turn evil - which I don't know we will, mind you, - and get to kill him as an antagonist for crossing us, I'd consider it a net positive.
This was meant to be a hero quest originally, but...
A few tag changes, and a name change, and BAM!
Dark Lord Quest: Eye of the Demon Emperor
See, this is why we should have held a feast. Consuming a spirit of a being would not be nearly such a big thing if we let people consume its flesh too. No one would be able to have any kind of moral argument about this, it's just culinary preferences! No matter what the soul is, consuming a sentient spirit is undeniably evil.

Dark Lord Quest: Eye of the Demon Emperor
I was just joking.I'm going to be blunt and state that if that does happen, I'm going to drop this quest. That sort of thing happening would kill my interest in participating.
No that anyone cares, it is okay each one has preference, but don't worry I don't think we will be evil.I'm going to be blunt and state that if that does happen, I'm going to drop this quest. That sort of thing happening would kill my interest in participating.
You might want to not write btw each line it won't count as a whole plan and we don't need money since we just looted all of the treasures of the Dragon. I still think the best option for us is the ritual.Sooooo guys.
I was reading through the comments, and decided to try and make my own plan, which everybody can be happy with.
This is:
[X] Plan: Best of Both Worlds
If a rewrite is available for the choice of Cervitou's favor, then I'll do this:
[X] "Can you put me in contact with anybody that I can trade heart and blood of the dragon for?"
This way, we can get other items to empower us, and we don't have to worry about becoming evil, such as some people were saying.
If we can't do a rewrite here, then I'll put in:
[X] "Mind giving a friend of mine a few lessons in conjuration, enhancement, and such?"
As this is probably gonna be very useful for the long run, and if he has the same potential as the real Shirou, could really pay off. Also, really helps with our relationship with Cervitou.
After that:
[X] Physical training. (Raises physical parameters.)
-[X] Focus on strength.
-[X] Focus on stamina.
-[X] Focus on agility.
These are just basic, and will help our survivability in the long-run.
[X] Melee combat.
-[X] Swords.
--[X] Train with Excalibur
Again, basic, and Excalibur is the strongest weapon we have available right now, even if we can't use it's full capabilities right now.
[X] Magic.
-[X] Practical Thaumaturgy.
--[X] Nature Magic
--[X] Spirit Magic
I chose these two types of magic for several reasons. Nature Magic because we can use it in a variety of ways.
As support, healing, area clear, etc.
I think that this is a better choice than Explosion Magic, as it only has one use.
Spirit Magic for the same reason, as it's so versatile.
Actually, they may fill the same roles...
You know what? I'll leave it to the GM.
If Spirit Magic is too close to Nature Magic, please change that vote to this:
[X] Diplomacy
Because if we can communicate with animals, we'll have to convince them to help us.
Oh, and also politics and stuff.
[X] Logistics and management.
-[X] General logistics and management.
At the end, this, because we need to start learning about all we need to do as heir.
So, hope you guys like my plan and that it solves some of your guy's disagreements.
This is a very interesting pair of choices, and both types of magic are excitedly versatile. If this wins, I'm looking forward to the prospect of using spells from both of these schools.[X] Magic.
-[X] Practical Thaumaturgy.
--[X] Nature Magic
--[X] Spirit Magic
We don't need money since we just looted all of the treasures of the Dragon. I still think the best option for us is the ritual.
Nature and Spirit magic seem cool from QM comment but apparently you shouldn't have writing in between lines.Yes, right now we don't need money, but in the upper levels, where we're going to be dealing with a lot more people with power, and we're going to need to conserve our money for future gains, but you're right.
Right now, we don't need as much money, so I'll change it to Animal Ken, and specifically Magical Beast Lore, so that it synergizes with Nature Magic.
Edit:
Oh, and btw, even if we don't agree over the favor, what do you think about my plan?
Just so you guys get a taste of them, here's what Nature and Spirit magic can do:Nature and Spirit magic seem cool from QM comment but apparently you shouldn't have writing in between lines.
Note: only radical fleshcrafting.
You might want to threadmark that under "Informational"Just so you guys get a taste of them, here's what Nature and Spirit magic can do:
Nature:
Lower Levels: Speaking (literally) with the collective Mind of a forest, or specific plants, and imbuing them with temporary 'consciousness' to allow a fluent exchange of information, making plants and animals grow faster, speaking with animals and convincing them to listen to you, healing wounds and diseases, or creating them, draining life-force.
Medium Levels: Turning people into toads as a curse, ignoring hunger and thirst and instead drawing sustenance from nutritious mana, growing trees at will, connecting with the collective Mind of nature and therefore knowing the shape of the landscape for kilometers ahead - making all local maps obsolete, fleshcrafting (though this is considered black magic,) transforming one's height, eye-color and even... ahem, assets, summoning tree ents, forest golems, elementals and nature spirits in general.
Higher Levels: Creating homunculi servants, creating familiars and bodies, immunity to diseases and longevity (can live up to 350 years,) the ability to create shapeshifters (or becoming one,) creating incredible diseases with the flick of a wrist, superhuman regenerative abilities.
Spirit:
Lower Levels: Seeing dead people and speaking with them as a medium, seeing and detecting souls as well as, possibly; the ambient mana and/or auras, slightly thickening or thinning the veil between worlds allowing spirits to act more easily or with more difficulty, astral projection (to some extent,) raising zombies and spirits as undead servants (though this is considered vile black magic and gives necromancy a bad name.)
Medium Levels: Binding spirits to objects, or asking them to merge with an object to give it special properties (like with Excalibur; where an angel entered it and gave it all of its strength and power,) transforming the properties of spiritual bodies with greater ease than spirits themselves, awakening of lulled and slumbering spirits that were not taken by reapers, going into the spirit worlds for extended; if not permanent periods of time.
Higher Levels: Creation of new realms, the creation of new spirits and souls that can be sentient, soul manipulation, easily accessible soul consumption (this is considered black magic,) empowering a person's soul to the point where they turn into a capable mage, creating a portal to other realms.
Well for the ritual , the tie was broken
Ritual : 3
Tavish : 2
@Grigori and @BookMouse here is an ameliored plan for you guys

The rest is for Artoria to enjoy other things apart from just training.

The effectivness decrease when it is past 7 Major Actions?
Wouldn't adding the Etiquette and Art reduce the effectiveness of everything else as we have to spend more time with those?
