On a government project? Impossible, I don't believe it, I refuse to believe it, more likely they cut some budget, laid down employees so it was delayed for decades. Just like a normal government project. The Dyson Swarm itself could have been built in only fifty years, such was the power of our self replicating servants. However we took our time to constantly check and re-check the construction. Were the orbits perfectly aligned? Were the Conversion Batteries functioning properly? What contingencies were in place in the case of a solar flare? A thousand questions were asked, simulations were run and optimised.
Wait. Are we the Forerunners now?

This website surviving nuclear war and somehow still exist 21,000 years in the future is highly cursed. Almost as cursed as the concept of "artisanal crafted Megastructures"
Ooh, nice!Well, seems you got the DAoT equivalent of an Emperor Class Battleship, 3 Grand Cruisers, the broken remains of a Light Cruiser, 10 Heavy Frigates and 5 Sword Frigates.
I must say a very Solid line up of ships, would have preferred more light cruisers but we might be able to slap some engines and guns on that remains for an SDF shipWell, seems you got the DAoT equivalent of an Emperor Class Battleship, 3 Grand Cruisers, the broken remains of a Light Cruiser, 10 Heavy Frigates and 5 Sword Frigates.
We should hopefully be able to research the Light Cruiser remains to get a bit of a jumpstart on being able to build more.I must say a very Solid line up of ships, would have preferred more light cruisers but we might be able to slap some engines and guns on that remains for an SDF ship
Of course the problem will be maintaining said super-ships given our industry and resources.I must say a very Solid line up of ships, would have preferred more light cruisers but we might be able to slap some engines and guns on that remains for an SDF ship
The STC database of Hecantoncheires while not made for military purposes could be used as a means to maintain it in at least a minimal capacity which is better than nothingOf course the problem will be maintaining said super-ships given our industry and resources.
