A Far-Flung Hope (Warhammer 24K Quest)

STC Databases

STC databases contain the sum total of all human knowledge, however given the risk of their theft frontier worlds are only initially given what they need to survive and thrive. Thus the type of STC each world is given is different, but all are potent tools to be wielded.

The Besarife Federation collection

STC Olympus Initiative 'Hestia':
An STC database containing civilian infrastructure and various culinary recipes (around 50 billion). The internal V.I is capable of scanning local geology to find ideal places to construct homes and cities, it is capable of scanning local flora and fauna and cross reference them with it's obscene database to understand how to make various foodstuffs. This is a basic STC handed out to every colony.

STC Olympus Initiative 'Muses': An STC database containing Humanity's numerous cultural works: art, music, stories, Philosophy, etc. Of more relevance to you however is that the 'Thalia' section of the database possesses numerous schools of thought, methods of education and an understanding of physics and maths that could allow you, if you had the time, to recreate all of Humanity's greatest works in a few thousand years. This is a basic STC handed out to every colony.

STC Olympus Initiative 'Athena': An STC focused on the defence of colonies, while this database is somewhat lacking in comparison to the 'Ares' database, this allows you to produce low end war gear and ships. This is a basic STC handed out to every colony.

STC Olympus Initiative 'Hecantoncheires': An STC focused on civilian industry and planning. While inferior to the 'Hephaestus' database this still allows a planet to quickly build and spread. It is capable of finding natural deposits of resources with it's scanners and the design of individualised mining and construction facilities. This is a basic STC handed out to every colony.

STC Olympus Initiative 'Zephyros': An STC focused on civilian communication and travel. This device contains numerous designs for Warp Buoys and drives as well as various scientific studies looking into alternatives. Though this database is lacking in comparison with the 'Hermes' pattern it is still capable of allowing for communication and travel for up to 50 or so light years.

STC Olympus Initiative 'Demeter': An advanced STC only given to Research Worlds focused on the study of biology in some form. This STC was granted to the colony of Besarife in order to study the introduction of numerous genetically altered species into an environment. This STC contains the human sum total knowledge of: Genetics, Agriculture, Medicine, Medical Equipment and General Biology. If there is something related to Biology then there are good odds you can accomplish it with time.

As you may have noticed you have 4 other systems that have yet to be fleshed out, and thus 4 (or more) colonies with their own STC's.

After the voting ends I'm going to roll on a table I've made to determine what types of planets they are. All of them are frontier worlds, so you're not going to get a Dyson swarm or a mega shipyard or anything crazy. But you may get things like fortress worlds or industrialised worlds. Possibly weirder stuff too.
