You hop back and forth, throwing out a couple of quick punches as you dodge and juke from side to side, dodging invisible opponents with a massive smile on your face as you start to get a feel for how strong this new alien form feels. These guys have no idea just who they've gotten on the bad side of, and they are going to regret it.
These guys are bad guys, and they are bad guys with guns. So the first thing that you need to do is get the guns away from the bad guys, so that they can't be bad guys anymore. That should mean that they should turn back into good guys, right? Right. That makes sense. People are good people, and good people aren't bad people, not unless they are bullies, but bullies aren't good people, so that means that they are bad people and-
Woah, you need to get this train back on the tracks. Find the bad guys, take their guns, maybe beat them up a little. Easy enough. You drop down into a crouch, before kicking off - This place is actually really cool and particularly useful in how it's bathrooms have these like, little U shaped hallways that you use to go into them instead of doors, that way you don't like, get germs and stuff all over your hands right after you wash them and stuff.
It's useful for you, because that means that the bad guys can't like hear you coming or anything until it's too late. You practically bounce off the walls, lightly kicking off each wall to keep you hurtling through the air without having to touch the ground. Reaching the end of the hall, you give a quick roll across the floor before shoving hard with your hands and throwing yourself through the air of the now still cafe filled with cowering people. You pass over a group of staff, and you give them a quick wave and a wink before you land, sliding across the floor up to the the two dudes and the dudette standing tall, grips tight on their guns. "Like hey there dudes!"... "and Dudette!" You say with a bit of a chuckle, holding your hand out to offer a shake. "Wassup! What brings you to this totally awesome grub hub?"
"H-hey!" The closest of the dudes says, taking a step towards you as he pulls up his gun. "D-didn't you hear what we said?" He snaps out, glaring at you over the dark sunglasses he was wearing. "We told everyone to get down and stay st-still! We... We'll shoot! Don't think that we won't!" You give the guy a quick once over, then the same to the other two, watching as the girl slowly reached a thumb under her collar to adjust something with a grimace on her face.
From behind you, you here a particularly familiar pair of groans, but like, you can't focus on that right now. Something...
Something isn't right here. You look across the three again, squinting as your eyes jump from the guns in the hands of the three, to the pale face hidden behind the shades of the leader, even as he tries to glare at you, then to the front of the Betty's shirt. Then to the shirts of the other two... You still aren't sure what it is, but something about this whole thing isn't adding up.
Taking a small step forward, the girl slowly brought her gun up, the barrel bobbing and weaving like crazy in her clearly jittering arms. "P-please." She almost whispered, "J-just do that what he says. N-no one has t-to get hurt. Please." There's tears in her eyes.
You look between the three again, trying to figure out what is going on. These people aren't acting like the robbers that you, like, see in shows and stuff. It's like their Barnies! Is this like their first heist or...
No... well yes, this probably is their first crime. That's more because you are starting to think that-
The last one snaps forward, bringing his gun up right at you, and for all his face is white with terror, there is a sharp look of determination on his face too. "GET DOWN OR GET SHOT! I AIN'T BLOWING UP TODAY! NOT CAUSE OF SOME SURFER FUCK!"
Blown?
Your eyes snap back down to their chests.
Oh.
Now that you have an idea what you are looking for, you can clearly see the details that were bugging you. Each of them are wearing the same black shirts, and you can spot that each of them have another shirt on underneath. They've like, been wired up as bombs. Your head snaps up, looking out the window at the front of the store, where you can spot a massive eighteen wheeler truck, and your sharp eyes can spot that there are others wearing the same shirt near the doors of other stores.
There, next to the door of the truck is a single woman, most notable for the lack of the black overshirt bomb thing that she is wearing. However, she is fiddling with a tablet. It's probably that gnarly machine that controls the bombs.
"I MEAN IT!" The guy yells again, and you can see his finger start to curl. It wouldn't be hard to flow into motion now, hurry close and stop the guy from shooting... but there are people behind you. There are people all around.
There are bombs.
What do you do?
[ ] Stand there and take the shots? That's probably going to hurt so much.
[ ] Drop to the ground, maybe he won't shoot if you comply
[ ] Rush straight at them, take the guns like you planned
[ ] There's someone outside who isn't wearing a bomb shirt. Go deal with her first?
[ ] Do something else?
Sorry for the short update, but it turns out the situation is a good deal more complicated than Ben had a chance of knowing.
Now it's gone from a simple holdup with badguys to beat up, to a hostage situation, where the bad guys are the hostages.
