For some reason there is no Yellowsid option. Maybe because Salvatore is himself a traveller?
Much as I would love to complicate Salvador's life right now, I'm not sure a Past Life flashback right when a child is apparently Exalting as a Sidereal is a good idea.

As for choices, Redsid or Bluesid.
Redsid because Sal made her a banner bearer. Bluesid because of their interaction.

Sing when you're winning.

The colours are Chaos gods, not maidens.

Prior to update "vote":
+1 to play fast and loose with language acquisition, no need for fine detailing there

Looks like calling on Past Life, which can be, shall we say, mixed.

Past Life shenanigans can only make things more awesome. There are no downsides to this option. There may even be cake!

The hidden vote does seem cool, but I don't vote for those out of principle.

May I ask you to explain your reasoning here?

Managing to write dialogue in a way that didn't make me hate myself reading it: nine months, two weeks.
Writing fight scenes: A week and a half, mostly from IRL being inconsiderate about scheduling.

Yeah, haven't forgotten things, just been a bit distracted.

On a related note I have a conclusion regarding the linguistics question that I intend to deliver in song form! as an in-universe text, I just wanted to get this out before wrestling with it.

Past Life flashbacks when a child is Exalting are entirely appropriate and a good idea. I polled, like, a whole bunch of Sidereals and they all agreed that is absolutely the way to go. Best plan.

When there is hidden text I'm never sure if the QM is hiding a better option for people who find it, signaling a different mental state for the character if it is taken, or if it is just a hidden normal option.

This means when I vote for one I tend to put in a lot of meta consideration instead of looking at the rest of the story and by resolving to not vote for them it skips that issue.

In this case it's something of a choice Salvadore wouldn't make for himself but is an option for the players, if that helps.

I expect literally no one else to follow my emotion choices, but I gotta be me

After pulling all that off, shouldn't Sal be illuminating the area as if it were noon? Or at least glowing with visible gold light?

He had done his best to keep from glowing to keep this secret, only finding himself somewhat luminescent in the current light, as a sudden light would alert the leadership on the far side and alarm the defenders, and nothing good would come of either of those happening.

He has spent all his personal essence and only a bit of his peripheral. He dipped into the 4-7 mote expenditure range near the end of the fight but returning to the bridge dropped it back to the 1-3 mote expenditure range. He's a but shy of personal motes though so he's probably going to start glowing pretty hard whatever happens next.

Sounds like if everyone wasn't in the middle of fighting to the death, people would have noticed by now - and Sal would be one of them, but he's one of the ones doing the fighting to death.

Hell, Chaglyn is likely to have noticed, given the direction to pick his targets carefully (and Minataurs probably counting).

That... somewhat reduces the costs of having an ancient (maybe-)hero who thinks they're in Creation show up; the flashy lightshow's going to happen anyway.

On the other hand, not convinced having an ancient hero with no knowledge of Warhammer try to explain to folks just why Sal's started glowing is a great idea, either.

... Don't currently care to poke the Chaos/Sidereal question.

Nurgle is famous for stoicism.
Nurgle absolutely relates to endurance and stoicism and Slaanesh correlates to the colored exultation instead.
Cite please?
What I know of Nurgle, besides his association with disease and decay, is love, admiration, faith and perseverance.
Not stoicism, which I don't think any of the Chaos Gods are known for. Nor resolve, which is more Tzeenchian.

Checking the Fandom wiki, it goes:
Nurgle's worshippers can be said to be the most joyous of mortals, but it is the insane glee of those who have resigned themselves to damnation. Nurgle is depicted as an immense monster whose scabrous flab is the hue of decomposing flesh. His paunch, swollen with corpse-gas, spills stinking organs, and a legion of daemonic mites play among his entrails and suckle the discharge streaming from his sores. Fat flies hum around his antlered head. His blubbery, pustulated face wears an amiable smile of contentment. His sacred number is seven, and his symbol incorporates a triangle of three circles representing the unending cycle of birth, suffering, and death. Mythology represents the Lord of Decay dwelling within a dilapidated fortress-mansion located in the Realm of Chaos, the infernal abode of the Ruinous Powers that exists beyond mortal concepts of time and physical matter.[4a]

Within the crumbling walls of his workshop, beneath a mildewed ceiling sagging with damp, Nurgle toils before a steaming cauldron. He beams with excitement as he mixes strains of pox and fever to create a poisonous stew of pestilence, for although every known disease infects his monstrous body, he is obsessed with creating new ailments. When he is satisfied by his efforts, he pours the concoction into the grate below, and chortles with happiness as he watches the nauseating plagues rain down upon the world. He is most generous in bequeathing his diseases to mortals, all of whom he regards with great affection, and he ensures that rich and poor alike share the rotten fruits of his labour. Nurgle is not a god of destruction – he cherishes all life. The spluttering of the newborn babe is as dear to him as the slithering of the maggot hatched in its gut. It is simply unfortunate that the most prevalent forms of life – the unseen worms, viruses, and bacteria – are so inimical to all the others.[4a]

Checking the Fandom wiki, it goes:
Because Nurgle is incredibly associated with the most toxic kind of nihilism. That to exist is to suffer so exult in the suffering, because anything else would be pointless. Spread suffering and treat it like a gift to liberate you from pointlessness while ignoring how pointless inducing suffering is.

Yeah, some of Nurgle followers are super ecstatic because they think they've stumbled onto the ultimate life hack, but that's still ultimately born out of the newfound understanding that everything is pointless and suffering is the only constant. Pay attention to what brand of stoicism it is- one born of indifference and assurance that it's pointless to be bothered.

There's a reason change and hope are associated with Tzeentch, and it and Nurgle hate each other the most. Like demanding citations on the Dark God of Despair being associated with pointlessness is a tad absurd.

Nurgle is associated with the inevitability of disease and decay, and his blessings generally, in a mechanical, gameplay sense, result in toughness and perseverance.

These concepts are not the exact same thing as stoicism, but generally fit the colloquial meanings.

Article:
According to its teachings, as social beings, the path to eudaimonia (happiness) for humans is found in accepting the moment as it presents itself, by not allowing oneself to be controlled by the desire for pleasure or fear of pain, by using one's mind to understand the world and to do one's part in nature's plan, and by working together and treating others fairly and justly.

I'd suggest an aggressive approach here. We did spec Sal for melee combat, rather than sailing, and we might as well take advantage of that oversight. Also, Sal still has most of his essence left.

I do wonder about the Lawgiver option. Could be good or bad.

I'll read the update later, but the colors are obviously the Chaos Gods. Possibly with a link to the Maidens as well, but both would still not be a good sign.
