[X] It was only a partial picture, but you were able to see several terrible visions of future doom in the Simurgh's mind. You emphasize the need and opportunity to stop them… as well as the need to investigate the mysterious future event that kills billions.

There's not really anything the PRT can do about more Endbringers and I'm sure a mention would be sufficient to get the point across. The doom visions are immediately actionable.

[X] You already suspected it, and the glimpses into the Simurgh's mind have confirmed it: There are more Endbringers than those known to man. It would not surprise you if more were to emerge. You emphasize the need to prepare for future battles, maybe discover more about the Endbringers prior to that.

[X] Your home dimension remains as frustratingly inaccessible as before, but Earth-Aleph and countless others are open to you. You emphasize the potential for good, should different worlds band together.

We can take our time with this, if worst comes to worst we can start building on another planet then abandon the current one which has that pesky Endbringer problem...

Endbringers are subconciously directed by Eidolon.
If humanity were to leave Earth Bet and go somewhere else, they would follow.
Also, we have a couple of months before the new Endbringers appear, whereas doing a thorough exodus to an alternate Earth would take far longer than that.
Unless, of course, you decided to completely abandon everything you had for the sake of evacuating as many people and as quickly as possible.
Since we'll deal with Jack soon, we'll have at least a decade before Scion goes batshit crazy... unless we decide to talk to the Greatest Hero of Earth Bet, and accidentally set him off.
That's why finding out that he's the Big Bad here is crucial.
The second (possibly the first, depending on how things go with Scion) most pressing problem is the presence of Endbringers.
Three new ones came after Behemoth.
We killed Leviathan and Ziz.
Therefore, we'll have to deal with six new EB's.
That's not something you let happen without warning people about it.
If killing two made us the symbol of hope to Earth Bet, then the sudden and horrifying realization that three more EB's will appear every time one is killed, would shatter that hope like glass.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it led to anarchy.
There is a reason why the most efficient ways of breaking people include giving them hope, and then brutally tearing it away.

Hey, since we read Ziz's mind, shouldn't we know - or at least have a clue as to - who the one directing the Endbringers is?
I think I recall something in Canon that has her 'thinking' about Eidolon, although I don't think she ever uses his name.
Shouldn't it provide a lead?

Since we'll be covering all three, focusing on neutralizing Terror Drone Seven's last lingering Evil Plans seems like the best choice. Gotta take care of them fast before the intel goes sour.

Yeah, the problem is that Behemoth in tryhard mode is quite capable of depopulating the planet by setting up a flood basalt.
Eh... if they really wanted to destroy the world, the governments of any one country in the UN Security Council could destroy it in a day.
But, much like the Endbringers, they don't want to destroy the world.
The Endbringers want to maintain an environment fit for the cycle. Destroying the world would go against that objective.

All fantastic long-term, but- hm. I was going to say that if we're on anything resembling the couple year canon timescale that none of those things are liable to start really mattering in time to make a difference in the deciding battles, but then I remembered that Jack's dead. At least, I think he's dead. We've gotten around to him in this, right? Surely. And even if we haven't, at this rate we're liable to do it very soon. So maybe we do have the time.

As for tech, I thought Bet was easily the most advanced Worm dimension, being the only one with any significant population of Tinkers?
Jack's still very much alive, and very, very little tinkertech ever gets reverse-engineered well enough to influence the general market.
And with the huge number of universes out there, you can bet some are way ahead in terms of technological advancement. It's just a matter of winning the lottery of History.

I wonder how this will affect the various organizations all over the world to know that the Simurgh has plans that do not originate from the places that she attacks.
Not every future vision you saw was a Simurgh plot. Some were just future events she was aware of. ;)

Endbringers are subconciously directed by Eidolon.
That's only speculation in canon, never actually confirmed.

You didn't see anything in her mind suggesting she was being directed by anyone - just that she was unconditionally following a program that tells her to maintain the sort of planetary environment that favors the cycle (despite the cycle already being broken beyond repair).

This is ironic, because...interdimensional unity or lasting world peace are amongst the things that can trigger Gold Morning

just want to say about jack semes it is best tonkeep him alive since he encourages sicon to make people suffer as opposed to just blowing up all earths

Not to mention Coil's been reprogrammed to basically be a massive fucking thorn in our side by the Simurgh, and set back on Earth Bet prior to the fight.
Oh wait forgot about Coil. Well that's annoying.

Glad you enjoyed! That whole thing was challenging to write, but I hope it compared well to the Leviathan battle.
It was even better, which is saying something!

The Entities chose a Earth that was advanced but not too much. There were plenty of alternate Earth with tech well in advance of our own when they started spreading powers. And Tinkers help improve the tech level, but not by much given how the shards are programmed to avoid doing just that.

That was without a doubt the most satisfying Endbringer kill I've ever read. God damn, well done.
...Thank you, that's high praise indeed. XD

Yeah... with the sheer number of parallel Earths running around, I figure that's inevitable. There's the Earth where a mutual friend of Edison and Tesla managed to keep them collaborating over the years, the Earth where Da Vinci had a workaholic partner with a genius for mechanics who took his technological ideas and ran with them, the Earth where Mozi turned 5th century BCE China into a progressive rationalist culture that embraced technological progress, the Earth where an Egyptian pharaoh from the 23rd century BCE invented an early printing press and decided to spread knowledge to as much of the population as possible, the Earth where tribes in the Indian subcontinent invent the wheel and the alphabet around 10000 BCE...

I'm wondering right now what's Jack's game plan.

As much as I don't like it unfortunately he's not stupid and unlike the Joker knows that people in the justice system and heroes and even other villains will kill him given the opportunity because he's that big a douche.

So what's he planning. I doubt he'd be happy going out without a bang, will he do something to psychologically taunt the Avatar? Show him stuff like him killing/torturing people with no fear of reprecussions? Or try a Hannibal Lecture that basically sums up "I'm a Nietzche Wannabe who's For The Evulz and more intelligent, charismatic and interesting than all of you because I'm evil!" Kind of thing and that "good is boring" etc

I am flattered that you await new updates so eagerly, but c'mon, it was less than 60 hours since the latest post in the thread. It's not like it was a necro. ;)
