Incidentally, in case people are wondering...
Remember how, in Perspectives: Earth-Bet, Eidolon was working to restore his power?
Note his effectiveness in this chapter. XD

It's done wonders for his psyche and emotional well-being, I imagine. He's always been a tragic, tortured figure--everyone looks to him to make the biggest difference, or maybe even save the day, but every time he fights, he gets weaker, and the more he uses his best powers, the more quickly they dry up forever. And he reacts to the most rudimentary of psychological attacks in the worst way possible, despite having been just doing the one thing he's been trying to prepare himself for since he got his powers--driving back Scion.

The fact that all it took was Contessa bringing in Tattletale to give Eidolon some pointers makes it extra painful.

But now, he can go all out in every fight, without permanently weakening himself. And what's more: he gets to practice using all of his best powers without reservation. Maybe now he'll finally use some of his Tinker powers, now that he won't run the risk of "drying up" the Tinker shards he'd need to maintain the tech he makes. That way, he won't have to use up one of his three power slots on something like flight or durability, if he wears a flight-capable suit of power armor.

Oh yeah, and he no longer has that period of vulnerability where it takes time for a power he's switched to to ramp up in effectiveness. That makes him a lot more versatile in a fight, since he can just swap out powers at will without needing to worry about losing effectiveness in the meantime.

Even then, people tend to discuss the vote rather than the story, methinks. I've noticed a lot more discussion after I stopped putting the vote up on the day a new chapter came out. ^^'
This works, but I think you need to have a beefier post for the vote itself, otherwise it won't trigger the notifications for people (or they'll mistake it as you replying to someone else's post).

Perhaps, as a compromise, you say at the end of each story post that you're going to post voting options in 24 hours. That way, people will know to expect it.

Say, I just had a thought. If the Avatar tells Leonardo about the inter-planar nature of powers and Leonardo decides to focus on a planar Tinkertech specialization (since we don't know of any Tinker with that exact specialization), how close are they to a one-size-fits-all power nullification chamber/restraints/etc.?

Well, it'd help, but there'd still be the problems of mass-production and tinkertech maintenance.

And I suppose herein lies a limitation of Leonardo's: he can't make something that incorporates multiple fields of Tinker specialization on his own?
He'd need help from Prochnost (robustness), Masamune (mass production) and/or Industrielle (production lines) to do this?

He could design something with a given specialty on day one, then upgrade it with a robustness specialty on day two. But it's less efficient than, say, having Prochnost help (and Prochnost's robustness upgrades are plain better than Leonardo's).

With Leonard I would hope that he's giving blueprints for his devices to Dragon so she can incorporate various things. I'm just unsure if the people in charge of the Italian team would attempt to stop him from letting dragon copy his work. Planar tech given to Dragon could result in her creating regular prison cells that dampen/temporarily cancel capes powers. Very useful for holding cells etc.

Freedom Congress
Also, since the update mentioned that Mexican heroes transferred to the Texas Protectorate participated in a victorious fight with the Freedom Congress, I thought I'd elaborate a little.

Freedom Congress: One of the five largest villain organizations in the USA, it was formed by blending together a variety of neo-confederate, militia, and far-right movements.
It comes as a surprise to many that the "neo-Nazi capital of America" ended up being Brockton Bay, a Northern East coast city. After all, there exists a stronger concentration of far-right movements in the Deep South and Bible Belt. However, while far-right parahumans popped up in those regions throughout the 80s and 90s, there was no unity - the far-right organizations they belonged to were extremely fractious, rarely growing large enough to have more than five capes in a single organization. In contrast, Brockton Bay's Empire 88 had the benefit of a unifying leadership under Allfather, extensive funding from Medhall money, and an alliance with Gesellschaft that allowed the organization to thrive in the early days of Brockton Bay's villainous milieu. When Kaiser took E88 over, he not only continued Allfather's policies, but proved a more able politician; he heavily pushed the narrative of Brockton Bay as E88's shining city on a hill to the American far right, which resulted in supporters and multiple parahumans from other regions to abandon their previous allegiances and flock to the city, tired of the lack of unity among their home organizations.
While in practice only a single-digit number of parahumans left the South to join E88, Kaiser widely advertised each one of them - enough to send his Southern equivalents into a panic. The 2000s saw a surge in efforts among those groups to put their differences and unify under a single banner; by 2005, the newly-founded Freedom Congress united numerous factions across several States. Faltering faith in the government has since done wonders for recruitment; by 2011, the organization is estimated to include between 150 and 160 parahumans, and controls a significant chunk of criminal activity in Jackson, Birmingham, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
Officially, the purpose of the Freedom Congress is to "stand for the rights of American citizens" in the face of an overreaching government. The organization denies race-based motivations, despite all-white membership. They also present themselves as a folk militia protecting the people where the Protectorate and police fail to, taking justice into their own hands to fight crime. In practice, the Freedom Congress regularly engages in hate crimes, collects protection money, and, while it frequently fights drug dealers (generally of the non-white variety), it then resells whatever drugs it is able to steal.

If he threadmarks a post I think it will trigger a notification.

Oh, and also, posted a more readable version of Agents of F.I.X.F.I.C. and made it available on Reddit.
I liked the Worm CYOA you did more. This one has more issues with it, like you base most of the power on multiples of 5, then have a 75% reduction of it count against you. And choose your examples from things that are easily divisible by 1/4. If you take the gamer power permanently, you reduce all tokens by 75% of 25, is that 18 or 19? WWII is 30 Tokens, what is the min you will recieve, 7 or 8? What if you leave an odd number of Tokens unspent? Does rounding favor the FICFIX agent?

One if the Exalted alternate worlds, all 300 exaltations were never inside the prison. Even if the Deathlords didn't let any escape, there would still be the few that were never captured, that were the reason for the Wild Hunt.

You use a PRT agent as an example of someone with status and pull again. That is just bad. Those are the faceless goons. Usually literally. Rank and file PRT is about as influential as a Stormtrooper in star wars.

The Leverage crew being 6 points is especially annoying to many builds I would take. Most everything else is a multiple of five. I would take them with a spare 5 points along with a 15/20/25 point package. Except I can't because of that 6th point.

All right. So.
There's been... a lot of things going in my life lately. Some good, some bad. But it's been busy.
Now, I don't want to neglect my writing. Not just because I've committed to get some writing done on a regular basis on my Patreon, but also because, well, I want to write.
I have promised someone that the next story I update will be Saga of Soul, so, I'm working on breaking past four years of writer's block and getting a few pages written...
...but I also wanted to let you guys know that I'm 3 pages into the next ACiEB chapter.

Oh me, oh my...Sun, your writings are like a solar eclipse: They may only come once in awhile, but when you see one, you'd swear you're staring upon God himself...

Take as much time as you need, sun tzu. The wait is always worth it to shed a little more sun onto the world of Earth-Bet.

EDIT:
Or should I say "shed a little more sun tzu". Huh? Huh?
...I know- that was a terrible pun.

And right now, you are standing in torrential rain on a pier in a presumably parallel Earth, surrounded by luggage (which in itself is worth raising an eyebrow - you doubt you've ever owned enough personal effects to fill these bags).
Did we ever properly go through our luggage? I can't remember.

At this point it must have happened by some background npc who found nothing.
Or detonated by a bomb squad.
I mean the PRT wound't just ignore a bunch of boxes with unknown contents probably created the multiverses greatest tinker.
Why not? They ignore all sorts of other horrific problems and potential problems, while cracking down really hard on relatively innocent people.
