[X] Redemption.
-[x] If there are any villains who have doubts because of their own personal circumstances, or just have doubts period, your door is open. If they don't know how to be a hero you can show them how, because they can be more.

What are you talking about? We are probably going to kill Simurgh the day after this. Afterall, nobody said we can't take the first shot and mess up all her plans.
Isn't that a little too easy for it to work? And who say Simurgh didn't alter her plan to incorporate a massive dues ex machina that is us.
That may decided to gang up, is there anything that stop them from ganging up on one city should the need call for it?

The GM said that one of the powers that we have is the manipulation of fate. That means that standard precognition doesn't work against us, like how he said that Contessa will get new PtV whenever we twist the future to our needs like a pretzel. Therefore, we have a great chance to kill Simurgh, whose knowledge of us and what we can do is sorely taken from its postcognition and precognition,(one of which can be altered through our power) and its knowledge of its surroundings is from its "singing" that comes from its telekinesis that acts like echolocation (which doesn't effect us, and won't even register us if we are intangible like we were with how Leviathan couldn't see us while we were following it.)

We needed to kill Simurgh yesterday to stop it from screwing with Earth Bet in a major way it did with Sphere and countless others it planted a bomb in. The more time we give it, the more time it has the time to act against us in a subtle way. Avatar sucks at subtle from what I can see.

Standard precognition mostly works against you. It's just the fate manipulation thing that's a blind spot. Like I said earlier in this thread: If you go against someone like the Simurgh, neither side will be helpless.

[X] Redemption. It's clear that a lot of the people here are villains, yet they came out to fight this monster - just like the villains who came to fight the Man of Might. You're going to appeal to their better nature, to the spark of heroism in their soul that yearns to be better than this.

[x] Hope. This Leviathan has been running around for fifteen years, and there are apparently two other Endbringers. This is a world that clearly has convincing reasons to despair. You won't let it. You just killed an Endbringer, and you're going to tell them all: It gets better.

So we have to either keep our asspull pool to Scarlet Witch to avoid being precogged or to intangibility to avoid being detected.
Does Simurgh's sense work like Levianthan, so if she can't echo located us she can't see us?

Great quest, its rare that a PC actually has a chance of doing massive amounts of good in the Worm setting beyond local stuff and it is really nice. Great writing too. Asides from that, may I suggest that someone does a interlude regarding the superhero forums that wildblow often used for exposition. I just kinda want to see the shit-storm that it would be with the arrival of Avatar and death of Leviathan. So many conspiracy theories.

And now I regret that I had to go to bed yesterday.

Your eyes light up. And then, cosmic energy pours through, blasting the monster half a mile upward.
Yeah, totally awesome. Did not disappoint.

Let's get Skitter turned around to the heroes' side, shall we?

Honestly, Hope is a natural here. The destruction of the indestructible mass-murdering machine will do enough on that front. And equality is nice, but redemption is better. Like seriously.

If you pay attention to Skitter in this update you can sense she's wavering between her villain friends and her potential future as a hero. The way she's looking at Miss Militia for example. So let's give her that push.

Especially since Sun Tzu wants Skitter to turn hero. So if we go in that direction it means a more motivated author and thus more updates! Metagaming, oh!

Can we have an interlude of our speech from Taylor's perspective?

To be honest, I'm considering making the next update just that.

What's to regret? Update only went up a few hours ago, you missed nothing. ;)

Yeah, totally awesome. Did not disappoint.
Yay!

"Gotta save Dinah... But gotta not screw over my friends... But my friends are assholes... But they stood by me... But gotta save Dinah... But..."

Any thought to my stunt addition? The tl;dr of it is that absent further intervention the Skitter + Shadow Stalker thing is going to happen and that has a good chance of going very poorly if we're not on call.

It sounds good. I'm not sure how it's going to help with the Sophia debacle, but it goes in the right direction.
Well, if Taylor freaks the fuck out over it she won't run straight back to villainy or - Avatar forbid - do something desperate. Even if it's a little silly, knowing that we're there to help could make a difference in how bad things get. Ditto Purity who might feel like she can't switch sides no matter how much she wants to because of Kaiser and Aster.

People knowing that we're in their corner and are willing to help out could have a drastic impact for those on the fence.

Plus, y'know, that whole coming down on Sophia and the PRT exactly like the fist of an angry god over what happened to Taylor.

*Crosses arms and raises eyebrows*

If it causes a further rift between Skitter and the Undersiders, it doesn't have my vote.

If it doesn't, I'll be happy to switch.

Also: Won't Ziz be trying to figure out a way to get Avatar to punch Scion?

Does Ziz even have dimension manipulation? Weren't all of her powers just really powerful telekinesis and precognition?
