As I said, we'll find out. Nothing we can do about it right now, anyway.
Plus, Seekers might actually be a pretty poor match against MISAKAs. People able to intuitively feel electricity, and whose reaction if grabbed would be to zap the offender? I like our odds. Cyberdisks are tougher, but even then, a few Sparks should be able to deal with those rather well (though maybe three MISAKAs would be safer, one disk can probably tank two.

Seekers... Yeah, the MIKASA units would kick ass if I'm understanding the Scientific Railgun part of this. Cyberdisks, though, are a far bigger threat. Remember, they have as cannon which can shread cover, a plasma grenade, and two drones to fix it.
If we do ever hit one of those things, we're going to want to wipe the drones off it before engaging.
Cyberdisks are about one meter in diameter and about a fifth of a meter tall at the apexii of their shell.
Then they turn ninety degrees and turn into meter- tall and wide murdermachines with a three-meter long spiked tail that they use to fling their grenade with a pair of guns that act as the aforementioned cannon.
-[X][SHIRAI02] First. Open the door a very tiny crack to get visuals while keeping cover. Teleport a pulled grenade to detonate in the midst of any sighted enemies. If no enemies can be sighted or guessed at, open the door wider and move into the building, taking advantage of any cover.
-[X][MISAKA10033] Holds position and remains on overwatch.
-[X][MISAKA10035] Opens the door and moves into the building. Takes cover on the interior corner and engages any targets SHIRAI02 does not eliminate with Arc Thrower(if only one) or Spark(if multiple). If no targets remain, assume overwatch to the north.
-[X][SHIRAI01] Moves into the building second, taking cover and engaging any remaining alien targets. If no aliens remain, takes an advanced position northward in cover to prepare to complete the building sweep.
"SHIRAI 2, open the door a tiny crack. If you see an alien, get a grenade in there. After the grenade goes off, SHIRAI 1 and MISAKA 10035 sweep the room. Unit 10033, hold your position and make sure nobody comes down the alley."
The younger SHIRAI does as you instruct, opening the door a tiny bit with a grenade clutched in her off hand. You see an alien head from SHIRAI's viewpoint, standing idly behind a table. Almost immediately, the grenade vanishes from SHIRAI's hand. A small group of aliens dive for cover before an explosion rocks the room, forcing SHIRAI 2 to duck as shrapnel flies overhead.
"SHIRAI 1 and unit 10035, get in there!" you yell. You hear pounding footsteps as the SHIRAI-MISAKA team rushes the building. They run past a set of washing and drying machines to the main rec room of the dorm, where a Thin Man is visible crouching behind the pool table. The alien sticks its head up above the table, only to be blown away by a blast from SHIRAI's shotgun before it can fire.
The reddish-brown haired teleporter dives behind a chint armchair and calls out, "X-ray down, commander!" MISAKA 10035 runs towards the now abandoned pool table, sliding the remainder of the distance when another Thin Man fires a burst from behind a plushy couch across the room.
"Status report, 10035!" You see 10035 and SHIRAI 2' s camera feeds glancing around the room.
"MISAKA reports two 'sectoids' and one 'thin man' defeated, Commander. One Thin Man is still at large on the far side of the room."

I'm going on vacation for a long weekend starting tomorrow and ending on Monday. While I'm on vacation, I'll be able to write, but I won't be able to edit maps reliably. After I get back, I'll only be around for another day or so before I have to pack up and get ready to go back to college.
With that in mind, we have a few options:
[ ] Continue the combat scenario as normal, except no maps will be provided for the next few update. You will receive a flat roll bonus in each update where no maps are available.
[ ] Put the quest on hold until maps are available. This could mean a hiatus of a week or longer, depending on how things work out.
[ ] Put the quest on hold, but supplement with omakes or other entertainment of some sort.
Well, that went well. Still have to deal with one Thin Man, those guys are a pain. I don't suppose the distance between him and SHIRAI 1 is less than ten meters? If not, suppressive fire from M35 while S1 rushes him?
As for the quest, I'm tempted to continue despite the lack of maps, but I'll await the others' opinion.

I think we can manage, as long as we ARE informed if something we're trying is outright contradicted by invisible map.
How far away is the surviving Thin Man from the MISAKAs? Arc Thrower range? Spark range? Guns only?
You have SHIRAI01 listed as having used a grenade, when it should probably be SHIRAI02. Otherwise I have no issue continuing without maps.
I agree that taking the Thin Man under suppressive fire and then taking it out with S1 is probably the way to go. Should S2 be brought into the building to continue sweeping, or held outside to form the lead elements of another clearing op?
Problem is, as far as I know, this guy is uninjured, so Arc Thrower probably have a rather low success rate. Plus, 10033 is probably too far away to use Arc Thrower this turn. And if we're assuming the guy is on overwatch, 10035 trying to close the distance is rather dangerous.
Best bet to try a capture would be a 10033 moves into the building to provide suppressive fire, 10035 rushes in to Arc, and if it doesn't work, SHIRAI 01 runs/teleports in and shoot him in the face. But is it worth it? ... maybe. Hmmm, I really don't know, it seems a bit soon in the mission to attempt that, but on the other hand, having everyone available to deal with a single Thin Man is a good opportunity, I admit.
Oh, and meanwhile...

[X] Plan No Quarter
-[X][MISAKA10033] Fall back to regroup with the rest of the fire-team and take cover at the corner of the laundry area and outside door. If T2 has been eliminated, assume overwatch. If T2 has not been eliminated, engage it with rifle fire.
-[X][MISAKA10035] Suppressive Fire on T2.
-[X][SHIRAI01] Using either teleport or the suppressive fire from M35, move to a flanking position on T2 using the couches for cover, and eliminate it with shotgun fire.
-[X][SHIRAI02] If T2 is eliminated by S1, move to the southern interior door and assume overwatch. If T2 is not eliminated by S1, move to the nearest position with cover and line of fire and engage it with shotgun fire.
A fairly simple plan, but one that does not risk a capture rush. Once T2 is eliminated, we can check the southern door for security and then either push north in this building or shift to breaching the central building and checking it for a jammer.
I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. Are you saying that the attack is rolled, and then we can choose what the attack was after the fact, based on what would succeed? Or are you just suggesting that we can pile on the troops and try to kill it anyways if an Arc fails?
I'll also point out, Esper abilities are significantly less likely to work directly on enemies than outright shooting them. MISAKA units have a WILL of 50, which gives them a base 40% chance of success against Sectoids (WILL 10). Thin Men, presumably, have at least the same WILL as Sectoids, if not higher, so success is relatively unlikely absent significant situational bonuses or other advantages.

Yeah, but Arcing is more likely to fail period, especially against an uninjured target. The way to do it would be to bring M33 in to suppress, and try to rush M35 close enough to tase it. Of course if that doesn't work then half your team's actions are basically wasted, and you have to spend the other half's actions cleaning up the still existing problem. And we have no way to reliably injure the Thin Man for a better tasing short of shotgunning it in the face, which will probably kill it in the first place.

It's still pretty early on in this Operation, so there'll be more Aliens lurking around. We can attempt to subdue a live X-Ray for capture when we're sure there aren't any more reinforcements coming in.
Ammo expended, powers placed on cooldown, team out of position for further operations.
It's not a serious problem, especially since we have no indications that there's a fifth alien hiding north or that there's a bunch south about to kick down the door, but it is wasteful and could have an impact down the line if someone has to stop and reload at a bad time.
[X] Plan Into The Pokeball
-[X] [MISAKA 10033] Enter building, provide suppressive fire on Thin Man from SHIRAI 1's position.
-[X] [MISAKA 10035] Approach Thin Man under cover of the pool table. Attempt Arc Thrower once in range. Spark it if Arc Thrower fails.
-[X] [SHIRAI 1] If MISAKA 10035 fails to take down Thin Man, teleport behind it and attack. Otherwise, overwatch.
-[X] [SHIRAI 2] If MISAKA 10035 and SHIRAI 1 fails to take down Thin Man, enter building, teleport to it and attack. Otherwise, move into building and overwatch from inside the door.
Really, how often do we get a lone Thin Man facing our entire team, and basically in the open(the sofa is not exactly serious cover)?
Plus, both the electric attacks are non-linear and we should be able to strike from over/around the sofa
It's true that it forces us to commit most of our units to a single task, but we're not doing much with them on this turn anyway. The only annoying part is losing 10033 as a sentinel outside, and the fact odds are good Arcing will simply fail. The ammo and power cooldown is also a minor thing, since it is quite likely we'll get a "free" turn or two to reposition (allowing to reload/refresh our powers) once we're done with this building. All in all, it is a good opportunity to attempt a capture.
However, my only real fear is that this Thin Man is more likely than not on Overwatch. Meaning he'll attempt to shoot 10035 as soon as she moves. 10033 providing support reduces the chances of him hitting, but a lucky shot is always possible, especially with those guys. Plus, how am I supposed to do if we lose the character I use in the omakes?
