[X] Plan: Tournament-Ready

We already have way too many storylines running right now, we should wait to start Yato's event chain until after we are done with the tournament.

The SL will help us get ready for the tournament, which is why I want to do it.

Plus this is one of the running storylines and this will cap it off and put us in a good rest position with it once we complete it, compared to it bouncing around in the background waiting for us to make the time for Yato.

Depends on how long the event chain lasts, really. For all we know, it could take several in-quest weeks to finish; all we have to go on is that it's a "semi-lengthy event chain." It also depends on what benefits upping our SL with Yato gives, as well as whether we can safely use them on unpowered humans.

More skill in martial arts, on the other hand, is guaranteed to help. And besides, we're kinda planning on easing off on the hardcore martial level-grinding next turn, which gives us plenty of time for SL sidequesting. Waiting one turn isn't much to ask, I think.

[X] Plan: Friendship Brought by Muscles

Edit: Its a tough choice for me honestly but I think I want a bit of interaction and the permanent toughness is extra handy. Maybe combo with No Man On Earth for some good defense.

However, where you focus on your physical abilities, he chooses to focus on "something easier to hide".

When you ask what he means, he opens his uniform to reveal....twenty fucking darts hidden inside his sleeve alone.

How the fuck-?

His answer is Yameko and his recently improved ability to trick others. It is honestly scary how easily he describes the way he's been able to get all kinds of small items and weapons passed school security.

You'd be worried if he wasn't your brother.

Yamato gains +15 to Throwing Weaponry: Darts!
Scary, but well done, bro.
Karate was said to have meditative benefits, so that's just relevant here.
In a way that it gives us bonus to Culture-skills, which are useless to us.
(WARNING! Will Cost 4 AP and Start a Semi-Lengthy Event Chain.
To clarify, Semi-Lengthy, is that in in-universe or out-of-universe time?

[X] Plan: Friendship Brought by Muscles
-[X] Martial Art that will Gain +10
--[X] MMA
-[X] Go train with Hose (Relationship: 4/10; 8/10 RP)
--[X] MMA training
-[X] Meet up with Yameko (Relationship: 2/10; 3/3 RP: Can Rank Up)
-[X] Find Elizabeth Young (Relationship: 2/10; 10/5 RP; Can Rank Up)
-[X] Hard As A Brick: You were always tough, but you've gotten tougher. You're skin's tough as a brick now. (+5 to all Physical Resistance Checks)

We still have one more week before the tournament, so we can finish our MA training next week (If we want to put all to kendo and karate, we'd get them to 100 next week. Even if we only used 1AP each, that'd still put them at 78 each), so we should use our weekend to do things we cannot do during weekdays, namely SLs and research. But since we have an option to train with Hose, we can both raise his SL and gain +25 in MMA (we also haven't spend time with him aside from weekday training since the school invasion, so his SL will start to degrade). Add to that the +10 extra means that after this our MMA will raise to our current max of 100, with only 1 point wasted. And MMA is our main mundane MA.

I'd also like to catch up with Yameko and Elizabeth and get to know them better, since their SLs are low, we might get some nice bonuses for future, and since we have Yato's personal quest in the near future who knows when we get a chance to hang out with them. I'd also like to hear from Yameko And while Physical Resistance won't be useful in the tournament, since you can only use your specific MA skills there (unless @LinkOnScepter tells me otherwise), I'd still like to grab Hard As A Brick for future's sake and since we have the chance. And if PR works at the tournament, hey, even better. Especially since while I'd like to go search either around the school or city, it is best for us to wait until after the tournament and Yato quest before we go looking for more events.

To Clarify: The Yato Event Chain will take up at most 2 Weeks of In game Time.

And Physical Resistance will help, as it's a Defensive Skill rather than Offensive one, but it'll only help in the MMA part of the Tournament. Because that's a full contact, full battle sport.

Kendo and Karate will be competitions where getting hit gives your opponent points. So, upping Evasion will work out better than PR.

Question, doesn't anyone feel like we're much more of a normal shonen protagonist than Yamato? I usually try visualizing things from his perspective as if I'm reading manga, and it's not very battle-shonen in the way that I visualize it.

With our character it feels like too much of the regular shonen, but our bro is supposed to be the protagonist. The vibe is just a bit off for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like Yamato as a character and I'm having a blast with him having a harem. But as I said, he is active in a way that is way more Death Note than something like World's Mightiest Disciple (which is more what we are right now. Booya to the core! That manga rocks!).

This is just me though. Still love the quest and will continue to love it.

Kind of the point.

I kind of think of Yamato as Light if he didn't have a God Complex and was more focused on his brother.

Good to know. Keeping that AP on 'Hard As A Brick', since MMA is the one we need the least help with and we can only research perks during weekends.

Ah. That's different. I thought we'd end up with a semi lengthy OOC duration, rather than it being semi lengthy IC.

I prefer this then.

When are the midterm exams? The week after the tournament? Or are they this upcoming week?

I'm pretty sure we're lagging behind in two if the subjects, so we need some way of getting some last minute cramming in and enough training to win the tournament.

The following week and we're doing fine with the subjects. Our Education stats and perks are doing more than fine and LoS said that we don't need to have points in all of the subjects to do well.

Next week and Pantomath ensures you'll get the highest scores.

On all subjects.

Well, I know something that I would like to see more after the tournament plot line: more of our bro's harem shenanigans!

Not a must for the recent future, but just something fun when we're less busy and are capable of watching our bro being fought for by cute girls.

That's... a lot better than I expected.

Edit.
The rest of the school: "You're smartest dumb person we've ever heard of!"
Hayato: "But you've heard of me."

First we need to find more haremettes for him.

What would be fun is to see some more of the story events from are brother's perspective. Maybe even see them through the viewpoint of the actual anime viewers! I wonder what people are thinking about the anime, and what kind of memes and predictions they've made.

The current meme is probably how Hayato is out and out living in completely different set of subgenres.

MC has cunning, expansive plots, and intrigue that he's slowly and carefully picking through like a spider in a web. Meanwhile Bro is over there lizard braining things up with the power of Fist and Talk No Jutsu.

I can see a lot of "all acording to keikaku" and "Sasuga, Yamato-sama" memes being made for our bro.

Yamoto, in the middle of a fairly important mission to keep someone away from harsh jail time: This will go optimally if we are work together

Hayato, out of nowhere: yeahhhhh about that....I got asked if wanted to solo a tournament and couldn't stop myself from saying yes.

As an aside from jokes though I have two questions: do we have the ability to invite our friends to the tournament? Like our brother (assumedly his partner as well) and our two non school martial arts friends?

And is Yato supposed to be a Goryo? He really kinda feels like one.

Not really, but this tournament is a big deal and everyone knows about this. If they want, they will come.

...Y'know what, I kinda like the new one more than mine. Switching!

[X] Plan: Friendship Brought by Muscles

The lack of wasted points is a consideration that I was, admittedly, in a bit too much of a rush to think of, I forgot how long it'd been since we'd just hung out with Hose, and some socializing does sound good after a week of level-grinding.
