Yeah, then add on top of that the Custodians from Symphogear, the noise, getter rays, the dinosaur empire and the mycenean and you wonder what the hell was going on during ancient times.
I have no doubt Lunaryon has a document (or a massive spreadsheet) keeping track of the history of this fused setting Earth.
 
Maybe, maybe not. IIRC, the power of Geass derives from the collective unconscious, so it might be less hostile and more connected. Brittanias own beef might have been more about trying to control it and seeing newtypes as a risk that might be beyond that.

Likewise, the bettermen (and Sakura Akamatsu) are able to communicate telepathically by tapping into something called the Limpid (?) channel, and the show has examples of psychic abilities, though usually limited to stuff like hypnosis.

So I'm thinking that there's probably some root connection between all these abilities.

I can see V.V not being happy about people with different yet connected Psychic abilities being able to mess with his plans and those of his brother to a degree although I never quite understood their dynamic and how did not come in to conflict sooner then they.
 
Probably a mix of waiting for the perfect time to execute the plan and probably waiting to asset what could be a problem for said plan.

We know that the Knightmare frames wouldn't start reaching their true potential till the year 95.

By that point they had seen a multitude of various super robots on action without counting the rise of things like the gundam and arm slaves.

And even then things like the dinosaur empire and the campbellians were still an active threat, without counting that newtypes true abilities would just be started to be discovered during this time.

What probably tipped the scales in their favor was the formation of the titans and the start of the gryps war, by that point the entire earthsphere was in pretty much a constant chaos due to the oppresive nature the titans would become known for meaning they could probably start planning things and the titans wouldn't mind as long as they bribed them with the right things.

Like I see Charles and whatever fake name V.V. would go under just to throw resources at that to add more gasoline to the fire, maybe being some of the main backers of the titans during their time.

Then the Neo Zeon War war happened which pretty much left the federation looking to the other side which gave them the perfect opportunity to invade japan for the sakuradite and whatever else they could get their hands on.

We know they tried to further this conflict in specific due to Charles casually leaking the coordinates to the federation HQ and leaving a colony with hacked controls just so that ssomeone could do a colony drop.

We know that didn't pan out as they didn't even conquer half the country without counting that they only got the sakuradite with the original photon labs being destroyed to make sure britannia couldn't get their hands on photon research.

After that it wouldn't be until either the start or end of the second Neo Zeon War that we would get conclusion of the code geass plot, at that point Charles and V.V. probably didn't bait an eye to newtypes until they started fighting them during that 2 year gap, that is probably where the hate of britannia for newtypes really reached their peak.

I don't remember if this was talked about.

We definitely talked what if Harmonia can secretly transform into a robot.
But what if Harmonia is a Getter Machine and there's two more experimental dreadnoughts with Getter Singularity Reactors for it to combine with and transform into giant robot horrror?
 
On the other hand we could probably replace the shin dragon in the case we do need to do a shine spark with the getter team.

Also triple shine spark.

But yeah, considering that this thing is using getter rays as their main power source it is more than probable we are just 1 of 3 machines at best case.

Worst case we are something a kind to Daikkasen emperor eagle aka a getter battleship, but a normal version and not something that goes down the path of the emperor.

On the other hand it would be funny that the two other ships used the other energy sources of the OG trio.

Like we are easily the equivalent of getter 1 due to our getter reactor and probably the closest thing to the original eagle machine.

I could easily see the Psycho frame ship that was on the starting options being our equivalent of getter 2, an even more speedy and dodgy ship to relate to the real robot nature of the gundams, but lacks the punch we have.

Meanwhile the Photon/Black box ship being our equivalent to getter 3, a more tanky and slower machine, but packs quite the mean punch in close combat and has quite the arsenal of ranged attacks and cannot be scratched easily to reflect the invencible iron castle nature of Mazinger z

Instead it has a core fighter that functions as an ejectable escape pod. Worse than that, we had to salvage and refurbish this thing quite hard. It currently doesn't have any of its original weapons. We've been able to find some weapons that work, but with the weaker generator it can't put out quite as much power as some of the other units."

"And you're saying that I get to pilot all of these?"

Michigan just laughs. "All of them? No. The original plan was that we'd be slowly working on mothballing units and once they are functional and you all are up to piloting snuff, then you might even be sent out on a few field trips with some babysitters. You'll be getting one of these, and the repairs and work on them is going to be up to you as well. Of course, we'll help so far as lessons go, but if you don't want to be benched, then you're going to have to learn fast. So you get one, and your classmates will get some of their own over time."


There is a moment of quiet as Iguazu stares up at the massive machines, pacing back and forth as his gaze slowly slides from one to the next.

Michigan watches the boy, his gaze flat behind his shades. This kind of choice can say a lot about the kind of pilot someone will grow to be. Do they prefer speed over armor, are they more interested in close range combat or staying back and shooting from a distance?

None of the answers are wrong, but they are different and they mean different things for this young pilot and the training that he will go through in order to forge him into an ace worthy of the Bright Academy name.

Finally, Iguazu pauses, glancing back towards Michigan, a slightly cocky smile on his face. "So I've got to choose one of these, right?"

Michigan nods, trying to figure out what the boy is about to ask.

"Since I'm the only one who managed to finish the shuttle runs today, and I'm the one getting to choose, can I try them all out before I choose?"

Michigan scowls, a hissing breath sucking through his teeth, but before the old merc has a chance to start to shout, Kyosuke laughs. A sharp bark of a thing that puts Iguazu on edge, every instinct screaming at him both to move and to stay entirely still. There is no better way to phrase things than to say that the blonde haired man's attention resting on Iguazu is like a blade up against his neck.

Every instinct that the young Newtype has screams at him that should he make one wrong move Kyosuke could kill him before he has a chance to move. At the same time, Iguazu's own senses and ability to read the emotions of others makes it clear to him that Kyosuke isn't threatening him. There's no malice or intent. It's as if the man doesn't even need to think to know how to best kill anyone around him.

Though… Iguazu blinks, pushing his mind back and away from the sudden spike of terror. Something is off about the way that his senses are going wild. And it is a familiar something at that.

"I like this one." Kyosuke says. "He's got moxie."

The fuck's moxie?

"Moxie? Really, Kyo?" Excellen asks, snorting and shaking her head.

"Moxie is a perfectly functional word." Kyosuke argues, and there is a smile on his face. Nothing at all like what Iguazu would expect if the other man was actually planning on hurting anyone. Now that Kyosuke shatters the tension, lightly bickering with the woman next to him like a married couple, Iguazu is able to recognize the most feelings that he was struggling with as the worst part of himself.

Sometimes, Iguazu's mind likes to lie to him. It tells him that there are things around him which aren't really there. It makes him feel like everyone is out to get him, and whispers that there are dark horrors lurking in everyone else's minds. Normally, the worst of it can be kept away, but without his meds he's struggling in the here and now.

The worst part of it is that there are moments where he struggles to separate out the dark whispers from his Newtype senses. That's not to say that every part of his curse is bad. Back before the invasion of Area 11- Of Japan, there was a time when Iguazu lived with his parents. He went to school, and he was noted for having an amazingly good reaction time.

Better than even some Newtypes, not that Iguazu knew what those were back then.

"Moxie…" Michigan says, rubbing at his chin. "Yeah, I'll give him that." As Michigan locks eyes with Iguazu, the younger boy realizes that one of the old merc's eyes glimmers like metal, a tiny bead of light shining out of the depths. Michigan has an artificial eye. "Alright brat." Michigan says, an actually worrying smile on his face. Not the fake worrying that Iguazu felt from Kyosuke. "Normally, I'd be telling you to do a hundred pushups for trying to get a ride out of all three. But if you can choose one right now, then it'll just be ten."

"The Drache II, sir." Iguazu says, in part because he just needs to say a name in order to avoid having to deal with a hundred push ups, but at the same time he knows that the Bright Academy is among the fanciest schools in the entire human sphere, so if there is anywhere where people might actually know how to pilot gundams it would be there. That means that trying to pilot the Zephyr would reveal the truth about him almost immediately. At the same time, The Gekka is just a reminder of what happened to his home back on Earth.

No thanks.

That means that there was only ever one real option for what Iguazu was going to choose.

"Good choice. Now give me those ten!" Michigan snaps out, and with a scowl on his face Iguazu drops to the ground. As he pushes his body he has to ignore the dark whispers in his head as they snarl that everyone else in the class is laughing at him. That they are making fun of him behind his back. Now that he's noticed what is happening, it is a lot easier to ignore the whispers. Easier to turn his attention to his classmate's emotions to see that they are feeling nothing of the sort.

Still not as easy as having his medicine, but he's still in a better place than trying to figure all of this out without noticing the whispers in his head.

At the same time, unnoticed by all but one, the young girl frowns. She tugs at her new mother's pants. Excellen picks up Six, and the girl leans in close, whispering in her Mama's ear. With a confused blink, Excellen glances first to Iguazu, and then to the girl. "Are you sure?" She asks, and six nods. "...Interesting."



Back on the Harmonia

Passing through the Gravlock back into the halls of the Harmonia you keep your composure for another moment, idly floating away from the doors before you let loose the long, exhausted groan that rumbles up from the deepest depths of your chest. You…

You're exhausted, not physically, but you've been fretting over the conversation that you just had with Celeste since some time last night, a low level constant worry in the back of your mind about what would happen after you admit to figuring out how Celeste feels about you. Now that pressure is gone, and there is a distinct part of you that wants to head back up to your room and just sleep for a few hours.

The problem is that you can't just blow off your meeting with Edward. That isn't something that a captain would do. Even if admitting that you aren't sure how you feel about a relationship with one of your best friends was one of the most terrifying and difficult things that you've ever done.

So, you take a moment. You might have been able to push away all your fears right before talking with Celeste, but that didn't do much about the tension in your shoulders or down your back. Floating there in the gravityless hall, you breathe in and out, slowly counting backwards from twenty with each breath in. Starting with the first number you tense up all the muscles in your head, contorting your face up harshly as you flex all the muscles in your neck and even reach out with your Newtype senses.

On the count of nineteen you let go, intentionally making sure to loosen each muscle one by one. The next count of eighteen you flex your shoulders, and on seventeen you loosen. Little by little, group by group you do this with each set of muscles across your body. Tightening them up, holding them still, before releasing them once more.

It isn't a perfect solution, and there are still parts of you that are tense even despite what you've tried to do, but it helps. A lot actually. Not just to clear away the worst of the stresses of your body, but it gives you time to sort your thoughts, clearing the chaff and readying yourself to head further up to reach the security station and the armory.

Once you reach the right floor, there is a short moment where you stand outside the security offices, staring at the cherry trees in the center of the hall for a moment, eyes tracing the branches to try and figure out how these trees are here. Or maybe the question is more of why. They are beautiful, there's no question about that, but at the same time are they doing anything more than just offering a relaxing spot?

Could they be related to the rest of the environmental systems of the Harmonia?

If so, why Cherry trees?

That's enough waiting, and enough trying to clear your head. You've got an armory to check out, and from there a hopeful chance to try out the shooting range before you go and handle a bit more of the freight this evening.

There is always more to do, and there is a part of you that really hopes that some of that changes soon enough. Each step that this ship gets closer to being truly complete is one step closer to not having to run about each day as you struggle to be the Captain that your friends and sailors deserve.

So no more hesitating.

Inside, you find Edward sitting at his desk, fingers idly trailing from one set of papers to another as he twirls a pen in his other hand. Here and there he pauses for a moment, jotting down a note on one page, or marking something on another. You're not sure what he's writing yet, but it is clear that he is keeping track of a lot of information. Right before you knock on the doorframe of his office, Edward chuckles. "Captain."

"Edward." It still feels weird to call your former teacher by his name, but every time you do it feels just a little less odd. Particularly as you slowly learn more and more about your teacher. "Checking out the armory isn't getting in the way of your own work, I hope?"

"It's no trouble at all. I'm just checking over the crew and deciding who I might want to work under me. A chief of security is simply a security officer if he's the only one, after all."

You nod at that. Makes sense.

It's almost amazing, the way that Edward stands, one hand sliding across the top of his desk. Somehow, in that single motion he manages to perfectly slide all the pages together, with not a single edge sticking out of place as he picks them up and places them into a folder in a drawer by his desk. You've tried to pick up lots of pages before, and it never goes as smoothly as that.

Edward chuckles lightly, "There is still much you have to learn about being a Newtype in the workplace, Captain. There are plenty of tricks that I could teach you."

Something about the way that he says that, and the casual confidence in his words suddenly makes you realize one thing that you would rather not have.

As the captain, you are going to have to write so many more mission reports than you ever had to in class. "Don't tell me that's why you didn't want the Captain's chair?" You complain lightly, but there is a hint of a smile on your face. Something that Edward wouldn't even need to see. "Fear of the paperwork…"

"Trust me, the paperwork can be much worse than that." Edward says. "And Jane and I both will be willing and able to help you until you've gotten your feet under you."

"More lessons, yay." You say that, but at the same time the sheer amount of respect and trust that your teachers have in you continues to baffle you. Edward pauses for a moment, glancing over towards you, and he sighs. There is a flash of something across his feelings for a short moment, something that passed too quickly to get a good feel for.

While there is a part of you that wants to ask him what that was, at the same time he is your chief of security. You trust Edward. If there was something important, then he'd tell you.

The door to the armory is just as heavy looking as it was the last time that you saw it. With a central lock that covers the heavy metal plates that stand out from the rest of the doors that you've seen on the Harmonia. As the two of you approach, Edward casually hits a combination on the keypad next to the door. For a moment you almost start to wonder how Edward knew the combination, before you realize something embarrassing.

You recognize the way that Edward's fingers moved right there. That would be the combination 0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9.

There is no way that the lock for the armory is really… But even as you stare in utter shock and horror, the center lock of the door starts to spin, heavy clunking sounds echo as the metal rods inside of the door slide away.

Then the first two layers of the door split at the center, spreading open to just reveal yet more metal. Another series of metal doors. They open slowly, only to find yet a third set of metal doors as well.

Finally, after all of that is the last layer of defense. An absolutely ordinary final door that you've seen all across the rest of the ship.

Stepping through the door you glance about, trying to see just what kinds of munitions that you're going to have access to.

[ ][Munition] Motorized Personal Defense Arms
- Along one wall of the vault you see a line rack holding dozens of Britannian Coil Gun pistols. There aren't enough to outfit everyone on the ship with one, but this should allow for a sizable security force nonetheless.
[ ][Munition] Linear Pistols
- Along one of the walls of the vault, there is a line rack that holds several dozen Japanese Linear Pistols. The technology is similar but whereas the Britannian pistols are Coilguns, the native japanese design is actually a Railgun.
[ ][Munition] European ETC Pistol
- Separated by the vault door, there are two long racks across the near walls that hold dozens of European pistols that use Electro-Thermal Combustion to fire their rounds. From a glance at the ammo set nearby, and you can see that these rounds are larger than most of the Britannian guns that you've seen, but from what you understand, ETC guns still have to deal with much higher levels of recoil than magnetic weapons.
[ ][Munition] Motorized Rifles
- Set just off from one of the racks along the walls there is a second rack, this one filled with Britannian Coil Rifles. There aren't enough to even outfit an entire security force, but these rifles are top of the line and would work well for the elite of the elite.

- On a second rack one row removed from the walls, you can spot a good number of Japanese Rail Rifles. There aren't enough of them to outfit your entire security force, you'd need about twice as many as are here, but there are still a lot of them.
[ ][Munition] Electro Rifles
- Almost immediately in front of and to either side of you are a pair of racks carrying European styled Plasma Cartridge Rifles. You don't really understand the technology as well as you do the more common magnetic rifles, but you understand that the cartridges of these guns contain both a bullet and a pressurized gas chamber that when hit with an electric charge causes the gas to ignite into a tiny burst of plasma, which accelerates the bullets out of the rifle. Because of this, ETC rifles have a lot of recoil, but they also have some of the largest bullets.
[ ][Munition] Less-Lethal Pistols
- It takes a moment to start to understand what you are looking at on this rack. The boxes of rounds near the foot of the rack are different from any that you've seen before. Which is because they are rounds for something akin to a paint-ball gun. Only instead of the pellets being filled with paint, it's capsaicin. They are basically pepper-spray rounds. Theoretically, these should be much less lethal… but…
[ ][Munition] Shock Sticks
- These hardy batons have a button on them which causes them to crackle and spark with an electrical charge. Looking over the paperwork on the box of them implies that they are akin to a taser, but even tasers are not entirely non-lethal. Especially when you add in blunt force trauma to the mix. Still much less intimidating than a gun.
[ ][Munition] Pepper Spray
- That… That is a box filled to the brim with cans of mace. That is a lot of pepper spray.
[ ][Munition] Psyco-Control Headset
- An evolution of the older Psycomme systems that some Gundams have, these headsets seem to be linked to a backpack, on which a trio of extremely small funnels, each equipped with a coilgun that can be controlled by a Newtype wearing the headset.
[ ][Munition] NNF Jackets
- About halfway along the length of the vault, you spot a stack of boxes. It seems that there was a delivery of Armored Jackets, but they hadn't managed to be stored yet. A check over on them reveals that they are Non-Newtonian Fluid Jackets, which use the properties of NNFs to better protect the people wearing them. Of course, part of the drawback is that NNF jackets are heavy. They tend to slow down anyone wearing them.
[ ][Munition] Deployable I-Field Shield Wall
- Along the back wall there is a charger on which ten folded devices are held. Thankfully, like much of the other half installed and put away munitions in the vault, you've managed to find paperwork. These seem to be a portable I-field generator, designed to be thrown on the ground, where they will pop open and the I-field will rise up as a rectangle shaped field that should theoretically be able to block most smaller scale beam weaponry. From the math you are seeing here, it probably could take a single shot from a weaker, older mobile suit… but this is almost designed as if the expectation is to find infantry scale Beam weapons on the battlefield.
[ ][Munition] Gun with no ammo, but a diode?
- There is a smaller rack of guns off to one side, but these guns are very strange. They seem to entirely lack ammunition, and there isn't even anywhere for the ammo to go. Because the gun doesn't have a barrel, it just has a diode on the end of a wiggly little antenna on the front? What is this?
[ ][Munition] Beam Cannon
- Near the back of the vault there is an over the shoulder weapon, and it takes a moment both to realize what it is, as well as really believe it. There is an infantry sized Beam Cannon plugged into a charging socket on the wall. Who? How? Why? It shouldn't be possible to create Beam weapons that small, the power source would have to… Unless it were to create the Mega Particles and keep them contained in a single shot… Maybe… Hmmm
[ ][Munition] Hair clips
- The only thing that makes it clear that these hair clips aren't entirely ordinary is both the fact that they have a series of small electrodes coming back from the clips themselves are, but the fact that they each set is plugged in next to a pack that has what looks to be the smallest funnels that you've ever seen. But you can't tell what kind of weapon these funnels are… Still… How did they reduce a Pscho controller that much? That's not possible…
[ ][Munition] A Gauntlet
- There is a big, heavy metal gauntlet over to one side, the sides of the gauntlet are covered in serrated blades. For a moment it almost looks like it is supposed to be some kind of arm mounted chainsaw, but then you realize that near the back of the gauntlet there are a pair of thrusters. Someone built a Rocket Punch for infantry people. Why?

- Hanging off of one of the racks is a tricorn hat. Like… A pirate hat. A glance under the brim shows that the entire thing is filled with circuitry and diodes and electrodes. What is this?
[ ][Munition] A sword!
- There is a full sized sword plugged into a socket near the back of the room. Why does a sword need to be plugged in, and what is with the little holes along the slides of the blade? What does this do?
[ ][Munition] Bracer with palm gem?
- There are a whole line of small bracers that end in a fingerless glove that has a gemstone in the center of the palm. You've never seen anything like this, and yet despite that it reminds you of the Harmonia for some reason… What does that even mean? What is this?

Oh look, Christmas came early!

So first we definitely need to outfit our security force.
Gauss rifles, also known as coilguns, employ electrified coils to produce a magnetic field that propels ferromagnetic projectiles at high speeds. This is a similar but distinct approach from railguns, which, as the title indicates, propel their bullets by generating a field between current-conducting rails.

I'm of the opinion that any lethal weapon options we choose should be energy weapons. Human slug throwers might work, but I suspect even the best that humanity has won't compare to those the ones available to the Citadel, which have been refined over the course of millennia and utilize a material that increases by leaps and bounds the kinetic energy of fired rounds and may incorporate recoil dampening technologies.

Best case scenario, our weapons perform marginally worse than handheld mass accelerators. Worst case scenario, our guns are overwhelmingly outclassed, even pistol sized mass accelerators hitting with the strength of a .50 BMG, and we have an inordinately harder time fighting at the infantry level because our weapons are incapable of bringing down personnel scale kinetic barriers before they recharge.

Given that, I figure it's safer to pick out the guns we know will bypass kinetic barriers entirely.

Finally, the non lethal peacekeeper option. Also useful against thing pepper spray won't work on.

If we're going up against folks with kinetic barriers, options like the pepper spray and less-lethal pistols might be the better choice. Melee attacks are sufficient to trigger those shields, but they don't offer protection from airborne particulates.

I was honestly thinking more along the lines of weird aliens and robots and other humans.
Plus the utility of having a stick that can zap things.

Infantry-scale beam weapons open up a whole new ballgame, miniaturized Psyco-Control systems as well. The less-lethal pistols for if we need to take things/people done without injury/death and the hat because I'm morbidly curious.
 
I dunno if a crossover that features Mass Effect is the kind of setting where we would want to encourage an unaugmented 18 year old girl to get into a melee scuffle with aliens.

Kinda curious about that bracer with the gem.

Like there are just so many things in this crossover that can be related to a gemstone and my mind is directly going to a G-stone.

If we only knew the color, since if that thing is green it is 100% either crystalized getter rays or a G-stone.

The Bracers have something to do with Getter I'm guessing because she said it reminded her of the Harmonia or something else so I think these are a must.
 
I think we should go all in on the Piraty theme The HAT, Gloves, Sword and Pistol, for mimicking Captain Harlock a bit couldn't be a wrong.
