[X] Sealed Away. The Four cooperate long enough to seal Malice away. Chaos Gods start nudging large quantities of Orks and similar threats towards you in 5 Turns. Xenos polities have a far higher chance of becoming hostile and/or Chaos corrupted.

Thinking on it, this might be more interesting. We'll be actively opposed through the Great Crusade, which will up the challenge.

Seriously, can someone explain this Malal thing? And what's going on with the Heartless? I don't really follow this thread beyond the QM's updates, or when I get mentions or quoted.

Malice learned a few tricks from the Heartless incursion on the Space Hulk, and has been empowered by Darkness. How much this affects the game from this point is up to the vote.

[X] Upgraded Malice. While Malice grows stronger, he is merely a peer to the Four, as he has concern over having his existence overtaken by the Darkness he's calling upon. Chaos Four become Chaos Five, with all that implies.

If you wanted a 40k/30k fic, then that ship sailed on post 1 when @ilbgar123 decided to use the Sage Dice system for this quest. We were always going to be OP, even for a Primarch.

I wanted to turn this into ST flavored 30K vs. 40k, and it halfway is already, what with us accepting alien people and nations into our polity. Hell, we can get ST style Warp Drives whenever we want (and yes, we can. Because replicators are basically specialized transporters, which are a subspace tech, and if they work, then warp drive will work).

Hell, it would be great for in-system and in-sector transport, because no one wants to risk a trip through hell to go to the outer system, or to trade with the system next door. 40K Warp drive will still be needed for long distance travel and most military needs, but there are plenty of niches for ST style Warp Drive here.

So I say, bring in the crossovers.

[X] Keep Malice as End Boss. Malice will continue to amass power and begin taking over the Eye/Maelstrom. Potential end-game alliance of all other factions against him. Potential for large outbreaks of Heartless across galaxy from Malice cults, which will act like a hybrid of Daemon Incursions and Ork attacks.

I hope you guys know, while Malice is sealed away, the heartless aren't gonna go away, there will be a few, very very few, out there.

Also he has a chance to be unsealed later down the road, do to a number of reasons, his cultist, darkness, warp fuckery, or sheer stupid.

As for the crossover part, all there is the heartless, not anything else from that universe, and there is likely not gonna be anything that is already here.

There is the fact due to some of the aliens being crossovers without being from another universe.

But the main thing is no matter, what vote wins it doesn't really matter, the quest won't change much, just higher rate of failure all around.

Yeah, focus on us, give us shinies (materials), try to corrupt the ones with a large bonus in resist this stuff, give the brothers and the emperor time to work. (but still I am really like the second one, because I like when chaos suffer).

Personally, I wouldn't mind end boss Malal, but that vote definitely won't win, so second best option it is.

You guys might want to come up with a plan to save, Isha during the conflicts starting to arise because of these votes, no better time really, no joke.

If sealed wins, Nurgle and the others will be dealing with Malice, leaving Isha less protected.

Or if upgraded wins, well those 4 will be a lot more distracted, so lots of chances to sneak and grab her.

Isha? Who is that? We don't know any Eldar goddesses.

So, what I'm hearing is it's a great place to try out, say, a warlord titan with psy-reactive weaponry, right? ;)

I mention it as a reminder, what you guys, do with it is up to you guys, ooc or ic.

It is just a target of opportunity, with a limited shelf life.

I hope that this stops the crossover.

Guys I don't think you're thinking the upgraded malice option all the way through. Upgrading him to Chaos God makes there be 5 Chaos Gods, making 5 a Chaos number in the warp. All of our tech right now is based on the number five not being a Chaos number in the warp. All of our buildings are covered in pentagrams, all of our psykers have pentagram based runes on them, all of our administration workers and champions have protection wards with pentagrams on them.

I'd rather not create a small eye of terror based on our sector just because we want to keep kingdom hearts in the setting.

This isn't isn't remotely true and the QM outright said this isn't the case. Next time don't use fear mongering to get people to not vote for a choice.

Running a tally.

Fucking hate you guys whining about the crossover, you happily take the tech, the crystals and the runes that have gotten us this far...But whine when it means that there will be unexpected enemies.
