Improving rep with one of the people with control over our fate for the moment has value. I suspect that it'll have us learning more about our current and near-term circumstances as well. We're still on upward arc, and this is going to give us more visibility on the path ahead.
 
Another fourfold choice, eh? The studying option seems obviously Tzeentchian, but the others are less clear to me.

This is also definitely Yon's choice, so we should consider it'll look if he's indecisive with where he goes. It might be worthwhile intentionally avoiding a split vote here just for the sake of not having him waste time dithering between two options.

I wonder if Yon and Lin can organize it so that one goes with Gosrick and the other goes with the other disciples, so they can reconnoiter afterwards about what the other learned.

We're going to wind up a staff sergeant overseeing the next troop intake. That's huge. Not only do we have more access to command staff so we can actually figure out what's going on and how to benefit, we're also probably one of the most influential figures in the training cadre for when it comes to training and teaching all the new disciples about to come in. We do not want to fuck this up- so best to learn how to be a sergeant from our sergeant, especially since Yon is actually a dab hand at dealing with Sect dynamics.

Networking is important, I suspect we are going to see some heavy duty chaos stuff but we aren't going to get out of here with cozying up to those guys, hopefully we can avoid participating without being the odd ones out.

So far we are making our mark on being reliable and good enough, rather than personally good leader, if we play our cards right, I suspect we wouldn't even see combat directly.

We are already boosted above our starting rank and getting a back line duty, for now.

Volunteering was the right choice, maybe we shouldn't have taken the diamond body special and instead focused more soldier things, but our stamina is still one of our strengths.

I would think that after the few times someone else voiced their thoughts and was shot, they would learn nobody here cares about their thoughts.
 
I like the logic behind why Diamond Body and Leadership is being trained. Yon has been noted to be broadly competent and good at getting the idiots to do their jobs so he's gotten slatted into Leadership. Yon takes the roughest jobs to get his minions to not be pissed at him for being in charge and trains through that.

Ta seems to have a good head on his shoulders probably because while he has a higher rank then most people among the real movers and shakers he was pretty much mid tier at best. So while he's still a young master he's able to deal with people being in charge of him and be polite even if it's tricky for him. The fact that he's going to Yon and being reasonable is the most notable thing though. Lin's heavy weapons and communication ability is also useful.

Also looks like Yon and Lin's team gave a good enough showing that Gosrick was impressed which is a big deal.

Yon has absolutely been to functions with Lady Va, mostly so she could flaunt him. He knows how to deal with his superiors in a way that won't get him killed.

Let's be real here for a moment.

Yon, right now, has no particular reason to be shy about Chaos. These are literally the four gods who he has worshipped his entire life.

Now, horrible chaos-themed excess? That he might object to. He wasn't all that happy about the mortals that got butchered for the portal, for example. At the same time, "because it's chaos" isn't going to be enough reason by itself for Yon to think that something is a bad thing. If you consider it in terms of the simple definition, he is a chaos cultist, albeit more sane than most.

Beyond a few wording choices; what Yon has experienced it isn't even that far off an IoM draft & training for a feral world
