Okay, now the dice are just whispering evil things to me. What the shit?
Nurgle approves of our decision.
I find myself curious about what "YMSQ" means.
Don't know, but seven is Nurgle's sacred number.

We basically rolled seven seven while doing Nurgle aligned action and exploded into 99 (9 is tzeench number by the way) when the author threw another dice because of the first result.

I think we might have just won whatever it was that we rolled for, as in Nurgle might have literally looked in story at our character and thumbs up our little guy.

So like i have caught up with this

Is the 40k choas references in the comments I see just SV/SB latching onto a thing because like so far this setting seems original with inspiration more that out right a quest as such

Even if so, it draws so much that I doubt the author didn't pick the same numbers for his gods, don't forget the second dice was named

Needsasecondoneafterthat

And than the author said the dice whispering evil things to him, so yep, the numbers are almost definitely significant.

Another thing to note, we know this is a quest where votes beyond the wonner are relevant, so I wonder if manipulative, being second place, and probably tzeench aligned, will interact with the 99 dice.

Is the world outside yon's homeworld Literally Canon 40k? That we can't say. But when the chaos drill sergeant makes a derisive comment about corpse-worshippers that's definitely a stage beyond just inspiration.

Yon's Society for Struggling Qi-holics.

edit: wait, the letters don't match. Yon's… Medbay for Struggling Qi-holics? Yeah, let's go with that.

Wow. You know, I love the double 7s, because that's almost certainly Nurgle's blessing, but 9s come across as Tzeentch, and he hates Nurgle. Something about this is going to go wildly sideways here. The gods are envious sorts.

Yon may well be getting his 40k protagonism shoved in his face right here, by being positioned between two diametrically opposed situations.

The vibe I got from the rolls is 'The Harvestfather gave Yon a boost, and the Knowing Flame decided to try and show him up with a bigger boon,' but that might just be my wishful thinking.
