[X] (Training) Marksmanship
Combat ability is important for a soldier in a Chaos Army.
Authority Equals Asskicking and Asskicking Leads to Leadership.

Given that we can only attend one class, I expect we'll be having a few rounds like this. There is even an option marked explicitly as Part 1.
So, it seems unlikely that rounding out Yon's military skills will be an issue here. He was even called out as being mediocre at soldiering.
There will be time to work on various things.

Lieutenants absolutely mostly do tactical level leadership, not operational or strategic, what are you even talking about?
What I'm talking about is, that Yor's role in the regiment will probably be defined by the specialty we pick now and Leadership is something that he is well suited for and already has experience in, meaning we don't have to invest as much time into it as Tactics to climb the ladder, thus leaving us with more free time for stuff like Alchemy

Really, Leadership and Tactics isn't an either/or. They support each other. it's all the other stuff that distracts from that.

We've already assigned specialities. That was the last training vote.

I think DeleteWolf is arguing that, if we double down on Leadership and ignore Tactics, we're less likely to see direct combat and more likely to become an aide for one of the old monsters.

Now, I'd disagree that that approach will either make us more secure or give us more time to spend on alchemy to our own benefit; spending more time near old monsters means spending more time near old monsters, and it's a high enough profile position that people are going to be well aware of how much surplus we've got... and very few tools to defend that surplus from people who might wish to take it.

The "saved" time wouldn't be freed up; it'd be spent buying protection.

So if that's actually the thing he's arguing, then I absolutely disagree - and not for anything like the reason you're suggesting. If you want to be a staff officer for some old monster, the thing you need is lots of Tactics and no Leadership. The thing that Leadership does is help you directly interact with subordinates in useful ways... which means that in order to make use of it, you need to be somewhere near where the subordinates are.

[X] (Class) Tactics
[X] (Personal) Quest: Synthetic Elixir Part 1
[X] (Personal) Time with Cinder (minor still access)

There are a lot of other things I'd like to be doing here, from time with Tam Lin, to more training of Iron Kettle Belly. But ultimately the elixir seems like something we can't do by halves. Let's hope it bears fruit.

Cinder is nice, I'm honestly starting to to feel rather fond of her, whereas she seemed like more of a stock character when we first met. It's going to hurt Yon a lot when she dies I think.

I was not expecting a stealth 40k crossover, but I'm intrigued at the possibilities. It reminds me of the Xianxia/40k quest that Maugan Ra made. Hopefully, this one lasts longer.
