Looks like we have looked in the Alchemy Hall exam.

@uri Lore question: Are siphon's things everyone has, or is it a limited knowledge thing so not everyone will have them even if they could? (until they can be taught which might require showing more potential than junior)
If everyone does have some, are their some bloodlines that start with some of them active? Either cause they gained them before they joined the sect or because their clan has techniques that incorporated certain amount of Qi gain as built in.
Of course if someone was immensely blessed with spirit roots than building Qi Siphons would be ridiculously easy anyway.
So hopefully those can get taken care of next turn.

As moon-llama says above we are still a bit in the negatives for pure qi, so if there's any qi ghosts left who haven't acted yet please do that over anything else. Better to save our CC and omake points for more important uses if we can after all
It's a known piece of knowledge; most aren't as efficient as the ghosts about it and it would cost more but having them would not indicate a lot more then someone who had good Qi control and the patience to delicately craft them over a long period of time.
Theres a good possibility that someone would take Guang Li low cultivation as a result of him investing his time in constructing siphons (if they ever notice them).
I someone was to look closer, they would find that the siphons are incredibly advanced and mostly self sustaining (which is not standard) but at this point if someone is looking that close (which will require looking at Guang Li roots through some really advanced artifacts) you'll have bigger problems then if the siphon is more advanced then normal.
I suppose there might be some, mostly bloodlines that grant Qi generation would do it in a different way than a siphon.
For an example from my notes on possible clans in the verdant flame sect, there is an [unnamed] clan which bloodline is literally just transforming their stomach into an inner flame that consumes everything they eat for substances and Fire Qi.
It's a low level of generation at the start but can be ramped up by diet and special refinements developed over the centuries for it.
And this has nothing to do with siphons which draw in Qi form the surroundings.
Not even totally wrong, if the Qi ghosts had used the current progress towards siphons on breakthroughs and QC than he could easily have broken through and been at least part way through QC3
Right, I forgot they were more like temporary Qi constructs than something permanent for most people, almost like a formation or ritual set up inside your qi network which would eventually fade.
Makes me wonder when it would be a reasonable thing to create them, prep for going on big (year+) adventures and not wanting to have to stop and gather Qi mid adventure maybe?
Maybe for closed door cultivation so you can just keep going and don't need to stop and gather more QI?

Mostly, normally you need to spend time and effort to maintain it every few months. A lot less then you needed to build them and without this maintenance they would fade away.
Even the Guang version would require maintenance eventually but like 5~ progress every century is so negilable it might as well not exist.
By far's siphon are used by foundation establishment cultivators and up (although its not that rare for someone bellow that rank to use it) it's mostly a matter of mindstate, when progress is measured in years and tens of Qi per step the leadup time for the investment to pay off doesn't seem that bad.

Right, I forgot how much things would slow down as Realms go up.
And of course as Realms go up so to do the dice pools they are working with which would make building and maintaining those siphons easier.
