One of our strengths are the Qi siphons we can make that provide a passive income of Qi and a source of reflection Qi. And in an area where resources are poor those make us a lot stronger then the locals so i think we need to go to the plains for a while we can always move once we have reached Foundation Establishment. remember we still got the 6 shards of regained parts of the ancestors and a powerful bloodline. The issue the locals have is that no one is doing that breakthrough so no one can teach you how to do it so they need to guess how to do so our ancestors know how to do that breakthrough so we got a major advantage.

This will require Guang Li to contact one of the elder's and come clean about his ancestry but if it succeeds -and if they don't sell him out to the Jiu after the fact- Guang Li would most likely be taken as a personal disciple of the new sect master. The chain of age- the heavens dictates that all men grow old and frail in time. on breaking the cultivator will not age, their life line can still run out so they can still die form old age but they will not grow frail the grasp of time slipping its hold on them. On binding, the cultivator will age like a mortal, they will still be able to live for several lifetimes but their bodies will grow frail and weak in time.

Tempted to spend at least one shard here, maybe two.
1 could unlock bloodline knowledge and up our decryption score with 5 progress leftover.
2 could complete Bloodline knowledge and Revealing the event track permanently with 12 progress leftover.
I'd rather go for the latter, I know everything else is legitimately very shiny but I can't imagine we won't have more opportunities to earn ancestor shards in the future, and I don't want to be blindsided like this again.

If I had to make a change, it'd probably be swapping out for Qi Sense and Doctor from the skills catalogue, we're early enough that the 10th and 11th stages of QC aren't going to be super relevant for a while, but given we are the bloodline, and how much effort gathering Qi takes, I'd definitely suggest Blood refinement and Breath as a definite.

A combat boost that does not cost Qi is rare so would be one of my picks as we focussed a lot on alchemy and not combat we should get this boost before leaving.
We should also consider how hard something is to get later and how soon we can use it. I suspect that the demon cultivator attacks will continue giving us options to pick up more shards later.

If I had to make a change, it'd probably be swapping out for Qi Sense and Doctor from the skills catalogue, we're early enough that the 10th and 11th stages of QC aren't going to be super relevant for a while, but given we are the bloodline, and how much effort gathering Qi takes, I'd definitely suggest Blood refinement and Breath as a definite.
doctor makes the most sense cause we're going to posion valley. it will be the skillset most helpful to us in that new environment as a rogue cultivator before we get into a new sect

It is also almost completely undetectable.

The idea here is to get the stuff we probably can't get anywhere else.
We've got the extra Qi condensation stages that are really useful for removing limits, and giving us a better foundation.
then we've got the bloodline refinement that we can use to get more options later, or just do cool stuff. We are the bloodline right now.
We've also got the blood spilling cycle, because that gets us blood qi, one of the best types we have access to that also happens to be a pain to get. I want to start making ectoplasms (blood+yin) and get some bonkers ghost physique.
Then the Qi condensation knowledge because… well that adds up doesn't it?
I'd be happy to not spend any shards on learning skills here, anything that seems interesting Guang Li can try learning from whatever sect we end up joining.
Doctor might be useful considering it's rare, but we can still make healing pills with Alchemy so I don't see it as a big concern.

This calls out needing Shen to reinforce it, so it feels like something we should leave for later? We're not going to be opening our second dantian anytime soon.
