Interesting since guang nearly cultivated through with 2 reflection if we use 1 water next turn to complete it wed get the boni and could start working on reaching qi3 high
If we had a spare point of Reflection Qi I'd be tempted to spend a point of Pure Qi first to get as close as possible to QC3 Mid without actually hitting it, then spending the Reflection point to get as far into QC3 Mid as possible, considering the latter then requires two Qi per action?
Probably too complicated to be worth it though.
As is I can see us going for Reflection Qi for Low-Mid, Water for Mid-High, then either Water again for High-Peak or a Willow drop pill to save on Qi.

As I understand it Guang Li's action this turn that would've gone to breaking through instead went to Condensing towards QC3 Mid from Low, which used this turns Reflection Qi point because no one else used it.
Then uri decided to lock in next turn's Reflection Qi point to the same, which got him to 126/135 towards QC3 Mid, so using 1 point of Water right now still leaves it with a Reflection qi majority.

Between that and the heart guang can get a +30 to combat rolls , which is very nice.
Though I do hope we can at least scrounge together upgrading his combat this turn so he can get that extra die.

On one hand yes , otoh guang income did skyrocket, someone better at math and planning then me will have to budget it of course , but purchasing lessons might be the best option we got after the qi formation.
Or combat boosting pills considering his alchemy. Just make them so the duration lasts the same length as blood surge.
Hey, do we have a recipe for a pill to mitigate the downside of blood surge? Cause like even if it doesn't help the battle, something which soothes like that would make him more willing to use it and since it still has to get premade it's still a weakness to the technique and of course the pill probably cannot fully undo the problem anyway.
Over the course of months, the ghosts of the Guang have toiled away at creating a Yin siphon in-between their efforts at gathering Qi, finally achieving a passive gathering of their most important Qi type.
Additionally, the small but constant pull of Yin Qi into Guang Li has been passively enriching his spirt and bloodline, providing the ancestors much needed nourishment.
Diving into the knowledge of collective the ancestors have discovered that the section that should have detailed this knowledge was missing, which is why they did not know of its benefit.
This is far from the first time a section of the collective has proven not just broken but completely missing and the ancestors cannot help but wonder what knowledge they do not know they are missing.

The ghosts of wrath have -aside from refining- chosen to help Guang Li in gathering contribution points, imbuing them with their anger to help him stay focus while brewing and some even going and gathering some small critters for contribution points directly.
Their efforts were minor compared to Guang Li efforts at alchemy, spending day and night next to the pill furnace in the alchemy hall. Dicing slicing, crushing and all-around preparing and brewing hundreds of pills of the course of a month.
Most were sold to the alchemy hall itself but many were kept by Guang Li for cultivation.
Furthermore, one of the inner disciples overseeing the lower ranked alchemists has seen his dedication both o alchemy and to the elders promoting to advance his cultivation.
And provided him a single pill as a reward, a seven-flame purification pill intended to use when one is cultivating their body. As well as advising him to focus on his strength to leave the limits of mortality behind.

Meng Qi returns- the general recall order issued by the sect master has seen young master Meng Qi return from wherever his relatives hidden him, the time away seemed to have done him some good his cultivation rising by one stage and his body becoming further refined. Rumors say that he is tight lipped about where he's been and has not yet spoken about it despite the impressive result which it had given him.
Lack of sect jobs- with all of the disciples returning to sect lands the competition for jobs has dramatically increased and with the prohibition to leave sect lands the number of missions issued has been reduced making it difficult for the younger generation to find work, as the few missions issued are horded by the older and more advanced disciples.
