[X] Plan: Lore and Stone
Leading plan I like the most thus far, casting a wide net that covers a number of potential directions. Think that the Runestone could be a nice piece for an exhibit themed around the current and historical pirate fleet of the Vampire Coast (including pirate flags and codes); the Siren-Wail would be an excellent centrepiece on magic; and the skeletons contribute nicely to our continued Lustrian efforts. Gives us a good start on what our next focus should be depending on what turns up that's interesting.
[X] Plan Near and Far
Voting for this not because I think we should do it but to express support for the idea. Sending the Tide all the way to Lahmia probably isn't very practical, given their limitations, but it should absolutely be something we do at some point once we've got the right crew (that is, someone who can dock at the elven fortresses at the Southlands' tip to take on supplies without being shredded by Eagle Claw bolt throwers). Getting an exhibition together on the history of Vampirism basically necessitates it.

Little late in the day for it but thought I'd throw in a plan focused a little more on setting up for the aforementioned pirate fleet exhibit!
Our first exhibit does seem to be evolving in the direction of more Vampire Pirate History, yeah. As the introductions to the various undead pirate crews we've had access to suggests, each has their own weird and unique history. Trying to stuff them all in one box with a broad survey seems difficult, since they aren't all even on good terms with Awakening... and oral histories aren't easily exhibited. Instead, I expect that much of what we'll wind up doing in making the attempt will be actions like the Runestone; getting a given group of undead pirates to sit down for a moment to make a physical memory. We did it with a Death Mask for Haakon, we can do it with a Runestone for the Tide, and we'll likely wind up with quite a few other eclectic collectables from various other pirate crews we can get a hold of.
As for the logistics of sending a ship off to Lahmia... well, that is one of the advantages of ships crewed by the undead, frankly. They don't need to stop
anywhere for supplies. We could send the Tide to hunt Dragon Turtles in the Sea of Chaos, Helldrakes in the Boiling Sea, or even Krakens in the Far Sea, and in each case we could reasonably expect them to return with trophies from the beasts in question. It'd take a little longer for them to get to such exotic destinations and return successfully, but it'd still absolutely be a thing we could expect them to succeed at. The thing we get from a crew who can dock at an elven fortress isn't the ability to sail to Cathay and back, it's the ability to
trade with the elves who built said fortress.
Stromfels is the god most commonly worshiped in the Vampire Coast, and Harkon has some sort of arrangement with Him because he can use the Lore of the Deep. And yes, we don't have an expert now, but we can get one later—and we'd probably want one at some point, so might as well as build an exhibit for them first.
I also think Stromfels is really interesting—is He an entity in His own right? Is He Mannan in a false mustache? Why did the sea elves force the cult of Mannan to cut off that aspect of His worship? What happened to the priests who were kicked out? Are there any interesting relics or divine artifacts—and are there any differences between those created before the split and those after the split? How does the Tide's worship differ from mainstream worship, especially since they still worship Stromfels under the name Mannan?
I'd like answers to those questions, and I think Boney can give us some really cool and interesting ones.
I also don't see any problem with accumulating more leads than we can follow—having lots of different choices is always good for a quest like this.
I don't mind looking more into Stromfels, especially since we've got a crew who's specced for the job, but I do think we ought to at least
start following up on one set of leads before looking for the next. It's understandable to put off going after New Huatl or Nakai the Wanderer until we've got a crew specced to raid Lizardman fortifications, but the Siren-Wail is right in our backyard, which makes it sound like the sort of thing we could make significant progress on by taking our good friend Fjolnir on a day-trip into town. Once we've seen how much follow-up effort a Lead is likely to involve, we'll know more about how sensible it is to go looking for more.

"Learn Lustria" seems unnecessary? Fjolnir already has Lustria (Detailed), so it feels like we don't get much by having Pahtsekhen pick up Lustria (Surface). "Learn Plants" might make more sense, if you'd like to import them now, both since we don't otherwise have anyone who can garden... and since that combination seems like it'd involve an interesting conversation with Telsomar, the elven mage specialized in carnivorous plants that we met back in Year 0.
[x] Plan The Necromantic Imperative
That said, you should probably note that adding a vote in a later post like this makes your first vote stop counting. You may want to delete this and edit your first post, instead of double-posting? As a side-point, the Necromantic Imperative is exactly my Lore and Stone plan, but with rare skeletons instead of large ones. Given that the rare skeleton we did get was merely an okay result instead of a super-cool one, I'm vaguely curious why you'd prefer that plan while dispreferring mine. Are people really
that excited about the other options on the Rare list (Ripperdactyl, Razordon, Arcanadon, Troglodon, Horned One), versus the options on the Large list (whose
smallest option was confirmed to be a
Carnosaur, which suggests that it's a list that scales up to stuff like Dread Saurians)?
