It Belongs to a Museum

To everyone worried about the possible difficulties of guests finding our museum if it's mobile, I'd be perfectly fine with keeping it in one place for the most part, but I consider the option of moving it around on land or sea both to be potentially very important. There have already been suggested remedies to the space limitation and I just do not see any other option remotely comparing to the ability to pick up the entire museum and take it basically anywhere in the world.

Forget travelling exhibits, we can travel the whole thing.

Lizardmen are about to sack the city? We'll go abroad for awhile until things calm down.

Lutr wants to forge an alliance or draw some recruits from a specific group of vampires in Sylvania or Mousillon? We can visit to show off all the wonders of the new world and interest the young'ins in a stint of piracy with the undead admiralty.

Our niece continues acting the shut-in and refusing to come see our latest artifact? Well we'll come to her, and dear Lutr would probably be quite pleased at the chance for closer diplomatic ties with the Lahmians, we might even bring back a few students.

They're hardly making up names for themselves because they're fighting to be the one true Luther Harcon.
They all are Luthor Harkon. Different aspects of him perhaps, but all him anyway. The aspect we meet seems to have been quite logical and deductive for example, where another might be more introspective or desirous of bloodshed, but I suspect they all reflect Luthor himself.

It's a problem more with the English language than anything, but talking about Luthor's personality fragments as a "they" is less accurate than a "he" that acts differently at different times. "They" implies more independence than the fragments have, that they might be acting against one another or plotting to take permanent supremacy.

Rather, it's like you when you're drunk versus when you're stoned versus when you're on cocaine. You're still you, and you don't really regard the other-you as a separate person. Just a you whose actions differ from the ones you might take if you were in the same situation right now.

The thing is that at no time does Luthor consider himself sober any more. He's effectively always stuck on some kind of narcotic, randomly switching between the flavour, and while he can ask himself "what would sober me do right now?" he doesn't always; when he does the answer is skewed because he's on uppers or downers or hallucinogens at the moment; and the considered response doesn't feel right to his current state, regardless.

All of Luthor Harkon wants to be sober again.

As we can see in one of the character creation posts, Luthor has different names, representing his reputation among the many peoples of the world. For example, the Norscans know him as Haakon the Reaver, whilst the witches of the Empire know him as Luther the Veilwalker.

I think each of his personality fragments leans into a different one of his reputations. For example, the one we met didn't really come across as a reaver or a veilwalker, but a different personality might have embodied that reputation more fully.

Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you, we need some help from you now...

Anyone know just how aware the other facets are of the driving seats actions while they're not in it? Do they have to be updated on their actions by subordinates or messages to each other? Or is it like an out of body experience or dream?

Unclear. It could also vary by facet, with some more cognizant of the actions of their colleagues than others. The one we dealt with didn't seem to remember what we looked like, but was able to deduce who we were...that could indicate a few different arrangements, and they might not be true of other personalities.

At least in TW, he often refers to himself with plurals.

Kroak. Canis Wolfborn. Ferris Manus. Sly Marbo. Mazdamundi. Tiqtak'to.
Though I don't believe anyone has actually pinned down what Mazdamundi is a reference to.

(Knowing old-school GW, it might literally be Mazda the car brand)
