Those mimic drives have potential to allow us to do some really funny things. Imagine the loyalists surprise when they think they just ambushed a random Battle Barge only to run into MoS.

Can we bring it somewhere that ISN'T Midgardia?

We need to know if they have other ships, or worlds, and where they are. So we can't just destroy it and even the old Cog Boys would understand pulling targets out of the ships computers. If we can use there tech to improve on our own so much the better, but that is a secondary concern.

@Oshha about the political meetings can we write in for our chosen individual about what are we gonna talk to about to them like you know there thoughts about the tau and maybe joining them and something other like so.
I'll let you as long as it is kept to a single sentence of reasonable length. It will also have to be one of the top three winning votes.

Not unless you want to give it away to another faction like the Mechanica Sororitas.

Those Mimic Engines are amazing. I doubt we could reverse engineer them anytime soon, but apparently they can be retro fitted onto imperial ships as well. So over all very good loot.

We need to talk to Gabriella about setting up a information network in the imperial space.

Shit looks like the DA are going to be sending companies from all over as raiders to soften us up. They have a lot of first companies to draw on and they can cycle them so the Damage is spread out and their just skirmishing so any loses are easier to replace.

We're going to need to make sure we have a lot of companies on patrol.

@Oshha

Any chance we could set up a trap for Unforgiven raiders using codes from the Invincible reason to present them a target and pounce on them?

I think we are going to have to set up a legion or two just for patrol alone. We can designate a company for patrol of course, but having a bigger space fleet might make it easier for us to find any bastards. I think we should have the First Storm Legion on patrol duty for a few turns until we get enough soldiers for a Second Storm Legion. That will take a while unless we invest in more recruitment though.

While that certainly is an idea, that sounds more like a one-time-only trap. They probably would catch on if the trap is sprung. Now if the trap can be set up to cause a big chunk of damage to the invaders, that might be worth it. Although it probably would take a few turns until we can figure out a good lure that can kill a whole bunch of them at once.

If we successfully destroy the whole raiding force we can repeat the trick since the Unforgiven as a whole wouldn't know what happened beyond the raiders disappearance.

Gene seed shipment? The Reason by itself? A company of Knights engaged in battle and taking casualties that would be easy for them to kill? Honestly I'm also a bit fuzzy on the details. I just want to try and figure out a way to bleed the raiders enough that they don't decide to keep chucking companies at us

If the threat of AI is the problem, can we not just send the Dreadnought salvage to the Tau?, hell we can make it as a gift even and in turn get a favour, which we desperately need for making infrastructure and defensive capabilities in our planets.

Also just a question, but what is the IS and KoC chapters specialized at? Considering we're specialized on Combined Arms, Naval Warfare & Boarding Actions.

I want to figure out what the DA's spy network is. A Space Marine can't just casually strut around the sector without raising eyebrows. Even if they aren't wearing power armor, they still stand out way too much.

There is a strong possibility of information leaks and we need to figure out who is supplying the DA with information. If we can figure out a few sources, we could start subverting the network and feed them false information for potential traps.

I wonder if we could use a free action for a spy ring? I don't think we have something like that. All three chapters could have a spy ring based on DA involvement and other matters. It could cut back on potential ambushes.

if i had to bet? less spy rings more Librarians using divination and probing raids on merchant shipping lanes whom would have maps and info. take a merchant ship in tact and they'll have the base info of the sector easy enough

plus some information would still be around from when the area was imperial
