Because BS is gonna be fighting any of the ambushers that try to come. With the biggwst danger being SM. Handyman atleast has allies in Hiver and Leizi if it comes to a fight.

This is not defensive, I'm just curious: what problems do people have with Sleight Of Hand as a plan?
I'm gonna keep it real with you. I was sleepy and skipped to the most recent page, and then I saw a lot of people quoting from Lucid's post, so I voted for that. Your plan's also very good, though.

There is the ract that it rely on ahuvers team not knowing hiver enough to notice when they switch and hiver agreeing to leave while handyman takes his place.

Which means if a fight happens id be 2 vs 2

Injury levels are cumulative per turn. At the end of a turn, all characters heal all injuries. Any character with the tag "invulnerable" cannot take an injury level unless narratively it makes sense for them to do so, and cannot die due to injuries. Any character with the tag "regeneration" will heal an injury level between missions or when the specific conditions of their regeneration are met.

Black Swan is weird for an invulnerable character in that's she can get to three injury levels quickly (it's easy to damaged her construct-body) but is VERY hard to incapacitate her.

Do with that information what you will.

Well, this isn't how you hoped your day would go. You feel the pasta you had for dinner start to rise in your throat but, before you vomit, you notice there's a mark on the cocoon-woman's face. You squint to see it . . .

Moderate Success: DC 10. Major Success: DC 15.

Stat Check: ESPIONAGE 5. Mona has ESPIONAGE 2.

You rolled: 9.

9 - 1 = 8. Failure!
. . . but the shaking is too violent.

"NO ONE CAN SEE ME!"

"I'm going to tell you a secret because you're good at those. Do you see this mark on my ankle?" Towarri immediately flips upside-down, her flying to keep her body level in the shot. She slides down her dress and awkwardly raises her left leg in front of the camera.

On her ankle is the image of a star.

"People think I got that because of Valiant Silver, but I had it before. They gave it to me in the place where I grew up."

Her eyes become distant in memory. "There were a lot of kids like me. Kids with powers, I mean. We all got different marks put on us. If you ever see anyone with a sun, lanturn, star, key, or a moon over a crown, they probably came from the same place I did."
I found one of the things we missed.

The Girl With Eyes came from the same place as Radiant Silvergirl.

Most likely. Gonna feel foolish if I'm wrong.

Um no Invulnerability just means she wont die just get incapicitated if her hp is reduced to zero.
From the mechanics post:
Any character with the tag "invulnerable" cannot take an injury level unless narratively it makes sense for them to do so, and cannot die due to injuries.
So she also has a resistance to taking injuries levels. And from power testing we know her resistance to raw kinetic force is pretty high. SM can probably damage her, but outside she's extremely maneuverable in the air so I doubt SM will be able to incapacitate her unless his secret power is complete bullshit. Our aim isn't to beat SM anyway, it's to gather intel and buy time to escape.

Update: Wrote this before seeing Bitterman's post above. If she takes injury levels easily but is extremely hard to incapacitate then I'm still in favor of giving the shield to someone else. Otherwise it is liable to be wasted on superficial damage when Black Swan can tank a lot more than that.

I'm just curious: what problems do people have with Sleight Of Hand as a plan?
It presents an interesting idea, which is to get Hiver out quietly rather than during a fight. However, as with Quoth the Raven, I think Lady Leizi appearing alone is suspicious. And as Wing said, I'm not sure Handyman can imitate Hiver well enough to fool his family.

Ohoh so you can put her at 3 damage but good luck giving a 4th damage to a singularity level body.

Welp lucid probably should give the shield generator to handyman now.

...Towarri is an alien??????
Well, according to Nora, aka Valiant Silver, our dearest ex-leader, the one who knew about Leviathan and the Stage and expert in metahuman powers, the voices are part of the Collective Intelligence, which includes the Leviathan since he's on Earth. We know 'the most powerful psychic' aka Valkyrie, the one who lost her mind, is the second Voice, so they don't have to be aliens exactly. And, I quote:
One's like a wax figure of a man that's melted. The other's like if you tried to remake a figure of a person out of the melted wax.
So the Girl With Eyes is made from the Melted Wax of the Father, which might have been the entire point of the experiments on the marked children.

In conclusion, they're most probably connected, either the Girl With Eyes being the result of the experiments or the experiments another attempt at making something like her.

I had an alternate idea for the impersonation swap gambit.

Gwen seems very image centric. Her grudge with Towarri and Ophelie was that dating ruined Autumne's pure, virginal image.

What if, at some point, Leizi mentions her makeup is smudged or something, and when she runs to the bathroom to fix it, Rhys knocks her out, takes her phone, turns into her, uses her fingerprint to run through it to see if there's a Detonate Hiver Bomb app, then comes back and impersonates Gwen?

We don't have to fool 2 people, just Pritemps, then when things go south, Hiver can just cage him and run with us.

speaking if while leizi entering alone is suspicios that works as ir would make them either wary, overconfident or hasty.

When it comes to triggering the trap. Plus originally the meeting is about automnes death and asking for compensation. So leizi going alone as the only one in JU who actually knew automne works.

In your plan, will Handyman taking the job be included?
That he will be for the infiltration itself. After that though, he can be a bit more creative. We need him to be in the meeting room itself for the ambush so Lady Leizi isn't actually alone, so perhaps he can be a potted plant, or a pool of liquid in the rafters or vents, or the suitcase full of money/Maddie's creatures that Lady Leizi will hand to 4 Seasons since we know Ete wants money out of us.

Lady Leizi also has a pretty good cover story for why she's seemingly alone. Everyone knows Justice Unlimited just fought a named Behemoth, so her team are currently recovering from their injuries.

That said, I do still think Black Swan needs the Shield Generator since she'll be acting alone, potentially against SM who's her worst match-up. She's resistant to kinetic force, but we're talking about the guy who has enough of that to be a threat to the city and planet. Remember, Maddie was able to superficially injure her with her swarm, and our entire plan fails if Black Swan doesn't stop the extra muscle from getting to Balthazar.
