Thinking about our new population, while their memories of how to make DAoT tech may have faded, I wonder if we can partially restore them by giving them relevant Savant ratings.

We could only give Thalassa Savant ratings in Mechanicum disciplines up to the limit of what someone in the Mechanicum knows. This was because, IIRC, she was a Tech Priest and VEE gives people backgrounds appropriate to their one nature.

For a DAoT 'survivor' what's narratively appropriate may be quite different to what's appropriate for a Tech Priest. I'd imagine bother the categories of knowledge we can grant and the heights that knowledge can reach would be quite different.

Me may want a stat sheet for our/Lorgar's holdings/vassals at some point.

Well, not the Hekatonkhire corpses, but those of sufficient power and mastery have probably sensed something about the void in the Immaterium left by Kairos' final death.

Good enough. The Imperium, the vaunted Emperor, must not be allowed to learn about these details.

Well yeah we do not have the remains, but Kairos is dead and if doing the deed did not mark Lorgar in a way a powerful psyker can see I would be shocked.

Hm, so, in one stroke, Lorgar has risen to leadership of Colchis and ushered in a Renaissance. In some ways, it is a parallel of Fulgrim's path on Chemos. Lorgar has even risen to leadership of his homeworld without having to conquer it, just like Fulgrim did.

All that, and it has only been about 2 years since Lorgar landed on Colchis. Can any of the other Primarchs even begin to compare where their homeworlds are concerned?

Anyway pats on the back aside here is what I think we should do with our XP in the general sense this turn:

Thalassa
  • Max out the Lore of Flesh. Shape Flesh is the real prize there and it's at level 5
  • If she has anything left over sink it into psychoportation or psychic vampirism

Fan
  • Code of Honor, an extra 2 dice for sorcery and MHM would be very nice
  • Double Extra speed, it is costly but more actions in combat are priceless as we have seen with Thalassa and Dharok
  • Anything left over can go towards charms that get him closer to that shintai
Lorgar
  • Lore of Light to 2 to he gets a useful power
  • Double extra speed for the same reasons as the above
  • Max out synergy if he has anything left, 5 is a very good level for that what with being able to use all the lower levels of the power freely among the group
Dharok
  • There are some very nice gifts for him to get now that we have access to the world soul. It is too late for me to list them off, but trust me the Arhoun list is full of them since they are the social and murder werewolves
This is very rough since I do not know how much XP we have but comment and critique is of course welcome.

So, now we hopefully have a few years to continue our build up we can think about long term plans.

I'd like to go with the mutation package creation and reverse engineering plan, to create our own alternative to space marines that aren't root kitted or compromised by the Emperor at source.

I think we will want to/need to create some Navigators; although we may need to examine them IC first.

I'd like to start experimenting with creating self-replicating species of demons that can support the process of people learning to awaken their essence. Demons that are inspired by the Exaltation shards might be another good option, that merge with a host and grant them useful supernatural mutations and merits.

I think we should continue upgrading our chapter of marines. Fan can grant some of them useful mutations and we can see if Thalassa can reverse engineer them, but we also probably want to grant some of them the 6 for version of Voice of Drahma so they can Mentor their fellows. If they're not already, we should make the marines into shaman of the world soul and paykers, and Lorgar can teach them to use it. Hopefully he can teach them Code of Honour as well. We can also have them each made a set of Aegis armour. We may want to consider upgrading the design first, seeing if we can make it if auramite, given that they're psykers. We may also want to see if we can grant Thalassa a Psykana Savant rating and she if she can invent psychic hoods and force weapons as a stop gap until we can reverse engineer that DAoT psyker amplifier. Similar to the demon idea above, we may also want to investigate if we can give them spell familiars to better use their psyker powers.

We also need to invent versions of Golden Jannissary and possibly Path of the Arbiter style that work in power armour.

I've mentioned this before as well, but I'd also quite like to see if we can give them the Shapechange (human) and a version of Procreation.

We may also want to go adventuring on the borders between the Umbra of our planet and the wider Warp to try to render some daemons down for parts and to try to trap some for later conversion.

  • Lore of Light to 2 to he gets a useful power
  • Double extra speed for the same reasons as the above
  • Max out synergy if he has anything left, 5 is a very good level for that what with being able to use all the lower levels of the power freely among the group

All these are good, but I think we should also consider Precognition 5, as that's the point at which you start getting long range Precog and also seeing the distribution of potential futures rather than just one most likely path.

There are some very nice gifts for him to get now that we have access to the world soul. It is too late for me to list them off, but trust me the Arhoun list is full of them since they are the social and murder werewolves

I think we should consider getting him to Precognition 3, which is basically a surprise negator.

Same with Thalassa, in fact.

We had also been planning on improving his Biomancy, although that's something we might just grant him next turn.

WOOOO, SUCH AN EPIC UPDATE

Thank you, Yzarc, for an amazing quest, my blood is pumping every time I read a new installment in this quest. The plot twists are amazing and the writing style is wondrrful.

For the choices, was really leaning into Wyldshaping instead of Awakened Machine Spirits at first, but then read through DragonParadox's very thorough thoughts on it and changed my mind

Starting bonus - I'm always for the quality instead of quantity. Expanding production is easier than innovation

[X] (Unique) Wyldshaping (The Planet counts as your Worldbody for the purpose of Wyldshaping

Hm, one supposes that it will be inevitable that a diversion be taken to reinvent Golden Janissary Style first.

Afterwards, though, one would like to get to reinventing Celestial styles that Lorgar can learn. Perhaps the first one should be Art of Meditative Discussion Style or Crane Style. Meditative Discussion happens to have a perfect defense.

@Yzarc does new reborn souls have same genetic and spiritual blessings that all tribe members got?

Mars have ring of Iron, so how can Lorgar's planet can be its equal? Is it though knowledge of Dark Age Reborn humans?

Was there any impact of Worldsoul makeup or mythos due to near subsumation within death energies and then Rebirth though Faith?

A shame about fan's family. It seems the real criteria for resurrection was whether shard of winters raised you as undead. Otherwise we'd have every generation of the declined back. Along with every other culture that opposed the covenant.

It occurs to me that the blessed oasis might well be surrounded by forest now. Everyone who drinks from it still gets tdc but never realizes it because colchis is now a paradise world 😆

@Yzarc does new reborn souls have same genetic and spiritual blessings that all tribe members got?
They have TDC but not much else. A lot was "lost" in transit.
Mars have ring of Iron, so how can Lorgar's planet can be its equal? Is it though knowledge of Dark Age Reborn humans?
Production =/= tech. Ring of iron is production capability.

What you have is tech knowledge and base infrastructure. More on this later.
Was there any impact of Worldsoul makeup or mythos due to near subsumation within death energies and then Rebirth though Faith?
Yes, but you need to investigate to find out more. See how Thalassa's Mythos impacted it or how everyone rezed has TDC.

Auramite is the precursor of Ornicalchum I think it would be a waste to use it when we could turn those resources into proper Artifact materials, but otherwise no issues with gifting the Cauldron Marines the kind of stuff that would give the Emperor nightmares. Golden Janissary also sounds great so they can use their essence. As for pre-cog though and this goes for the heroes too, that is eligible for VEE buy, unlike lores and other fancier advancements
