Turn 15: Ultimate Technique
[X] Loutuo
-[X] Action: Train Red-dew to Copper
--[X] [Qi] Use 2 qi (Copper Passionate Heart)
--[X][Merit] Request assitance from a Senior Disciple.
-[Market][Farm]: Exchange 1 SS (190 -> 189) to Silver and hire mortals to take care of the plot of land given by Elder Nianzhu. Plant 10 Peasant herbs and 5 Soldier herbs there (189 -> 59). Payment is for the next year.

Loutou was bored.

Bored, bored, bored, boreeeeeed.

He was lying in his bed petting Foxy the fox, his fingers brushing through her fur, with only grumbling and the occasional nips when they wandered too close to her tail.

Where was he? Ah right, he was bored.

During the last few months, he had busied himself taking missions and preparing for the tournament, but each time he thought it was going to happen, it kept moving a few months back. At this rate, he would be three years old before it happened! That was basically an old man. Even big ol' Gray, the oldest llama Loutou knew, was only four! And that was basically forever!

Noticing the pile of mission papers and notices sitting at the edge of his room in a neat pile, he had an idea. Maybe there was something interesting to do there?

Stretching his hand, he focused hard and tried to reach it! ... it was too far.

Then a thought suddenly flashed in his mind. He had seen the funny elder Nianzhu make stuff move into his hand, so it was obviously a technique!

Quickly circling his qi through his stretched hand, Loutou felt the insights flowing towards him.

He could see the pile slowly rising, coming closer to him.

Yes, this was it. This was the so called enlightenment!

A sharp pain to the head interrupted him, causing him to lose concentration on his technique.

"Why is everything upside down?" he questioned after opening his eyes.

"Oh no, was the technique so powerful i flipped the entire building? How would i explain it to the sect?" Loutou started to panic.

Only to hear a sigh of annoyance as Foxy entered his field of vision and started dragging the pile towards him.

Understanding filled Loutou. He had not invented any technique! He had just flopped himself out of his bed and fallen on his head!

"Thanks, Foxy!" he muttered, taking the proffered notes and mission papers.

"Let's see," Loutou quickly ruffled through them. "Nope, boring, boring. Ooh, ghosts? They seem yucky." Quickly, he threw out the mission papers and came to an older note, one that seemed to have reached the pile a few months back.

All disciples are welcome to learn the new level of the Red Dew Technique created by the Elder of Enlightenment. (Any mentions of similarities to the Jade Claw Technique will be ignored and the perpetrators will be laughed at).

"That seems interesting," Loutou mused, his eyes lighting up. "That settles it, let's go, boy! We are learning a technique!" he called out to the fox, only to receive a furry ball of angry scratches to the face as he started walking out of his room.

"Huh, what do you mean you are a girl?!?!" Loutou exclaimed as he deciphered the fox's angry yips through their bond.

[X] Hawk Cyr
-[X] Action: Tournament Qualifiers (Combat). Possibly use it as an excuse to learn more about my peers through connecting with our fist.
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi Used

[X] Cai Delan
-[X] Action: Tournament Qualifiers (Combat) I'm going into this expecting to get destroyed, hopefully this will be some kind of learning experience for me.
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi Used.

[X] Pan Tingfeng
-[X] Learn the Red Dew Specialities with the direction of a Senior Disciple
--[X] [Qi] 1
--[X] [Merit] 5 for Instruction from a Senior Disciple

[X] Gu Jin
-[X] Action: Barony Qi survey. Not long ago, Gu Jin learned from Elder Nianzu that the flow of Qi through the barony had been deliberately altered. Although it is unlikely to be comprehensible to a mere soldier, he hopes the mission to survey the barony may provide a chance to try to study how this was done. It is also a good opportunity to catch up with his friend Xingyun Xing now that he has returned from his travels.
--[X] [Qi] Qi Used 1
-[X] [Market] Exchange 470 peasant spirit stones for 18 clay soldier spirit herbs and 2000 taels of silver. Plant the herbs and my 2 viridian nut saplings and hire mortals to care for them for 250 taels of silver per month.

[X] Xingyun Xing
-[X] Action: Barony Qi survey. Xingyun isn't special, talented maybe but not special. He knows better than most that fate has nothing planned for him no gold at the end of his rainbow. But that doesn't mean he has to except it, he will go out there into the world and risk himself again and again in the name of the sect and as War of the horsemen until lady luck has no choice but to smile upon him.
--[Qi] Use 1 Qi
-[X] Breakthrough. Whims of fate + Suffering = Bad omens or Calamity maybe?
-[X] Merit: spend 216 merit to hire 54 outer disciples. I made a promise to a lonely girl that I would keep her company, and although I must put the sect first no one deserves to be lonely like me I will ensure she has the greatest time anyone could hope for and swear to see her again. Make Shufen happy.
—-[X] Merit: spend 4 merit to have someone find an alchemy tech for my newest Junior horsemen Stan li

[X] The Changjian Twins! (With Some Friends One Another?!)
-[X] Action: Train Innate Technique - Rainbow Eyes (Clay), having returned to the Sect, and noting the preparations done by other fellow Disciples as well as other Disciples from other Sects or Loose Cultivators arriving for the upcoming Tourney, the twins decided to enter a training routine/seclusion this month with focus on training their Rainbow Eyes. This will not only help, hopefully, during the Tourney should they decide to join but this will also help in identifying the various Qi types more easily, specifically towards Lunar Qi of which their Spiritual Roots have attuned to. So far from what they know, they seem able to manipulate objects to move about with such usage of Lunar Qi, but perhaps there are more to it than what meets their soon-to-be-trained Rainbow Eyes...?
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi Used (Tempered Heart), using Qi to help their activities every month is of immense help even if it is rarely shown. The twins pondered whether they should seek to replicate the Innate Tech - Passionate Heart somewhat or to somehow finally find a proper Qi Technique for both twins to use from the Technique Pavillon... though the latter prospect seems a bit too late for the two of them who are bound to breakthrough to Soldier soon once they have a bit more Enlightenments...

Is the tournament next turn? And whenever that is, is it a normal turn where we can decide to take any action, or are we more limited (forced to participate/attend/whatever)?

[X] Bingxi
-[X] Action: Take War mission Hangout with Lady Shufen! After some strange events such as scheming with Hanyi and witnessing some wild scenes Bingxi decided to forego going in the Qi Survey mission and instead take the job of accompanying the illustrious Lady Shufen, and taking charge of the remaining minions disciples. Bingxi will take Lady Shufen to visit the most beautiful parts of Red Dew, the festivities in Furnace City, the best available seats for the qualifications rounds, organize games between the 53 other escorts, talent shows etc.( And if possible befriend her.)
-[X] [Elixir] 1 Copper Meal.

[X] Sun Won
-[X] DEATHLY LESSONS II
-[X] [Elixir] 1 Treasures of Orange Mountain (Copper Spiritual Meal)

Sun Won's past with the Monks imparted many lessons, respect for the dead being chief among them. So with a fire burning in his heart, Sun Won offers to join in this mission to bring justice to those who bring harm to the dead, and to aid the spirits to a peaceful rest. Packing up the strange meal his senior sibling gave him and saying his goodbyes to Stan Li and Bingxi, Sun Won leaves the Sect to Roaring Furnace City under the watch of Elder Smiling Vulture.

[X] Gan Jia
-[X] With the influx of visiting cultivators, Gan Jia senses opportunity. They spend the month doing nothing but cook for the visitors, setting up their old stand with well-practiced efficiency. They even sell it at half price in exchange for honest feedback, so they can further improve their recipes. They feel like they're close to... something.
--[X] [Qi] Use 1
--[X] Spend 20 merits to hire 5 outer sect assistants.

I'm so close to another enlightenment. Just gonna use 1 last peasant action to farm cooking insights.

-[X] The young cultivator considers. Wisdom dictates she should stop. Take a moment. Commit to truly master the basics, and learn the Red Dew Technique. As such, she *immediately* commits to MISSION: DEATHLY LESSONS 2, because she wants to punch more ghosts and fetch some zombie meat for the nice cook guy who brought her food and also fuck wisdom.
-[X] 1 Qi.

I would like to retire my character, Feng Shou, from the quest. Tbh, I haven't been keeping up with the updates for a while.

Alright thanks for letting me know.

Is the tournament next turn? And whenever that is, is it a normal turn where we can decide to take any action, or are we more limited (forced to participate/attend/whatever)?

The tournament will be in 2-3 turns. However it will be a series of interludes so that everyone can participate without sacrificing their own plans.

[X] Ding Dong
-[X] Action: Tournament Qualifiers (Other)
Ding Dong plans on participating in a crafting competition. He wants to actually forge a real spiritual artifact as practice before using his own materials to do it. Ding will of course, complete to make the best thing he can, but his main goal will be to understand as much as he can about Blacksmithing and his inheritance. Of course this chance to show off and maybe gain the attention of one of the Elders would not be unwanted.
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi Used.
