[X] Shape a Mountain Range into Anti Matter. If you can't have this planet than no one can.

Lmao, false dichotomy is false. Its a shit deal and its irrelevant, a single planet doesn't matter. This hardly the last planet we are going to have to glass before we are done, lets just start that journey.

Well, former Deathlord would be the more accurate description, as the Mask of Winters has become an Onceborn.

In the 1st edition of Exalted, there were still attempts to connect it to the World of Darkness as its ancient, mythical past.

As it stands, in the World of Darkness, from Wraith: The Oblivion, the Malfeans are the greatest of the forces of Oblivion. They can be divided into two categories, the Onceborn and the Neverborn.

The Neverborn were never human to begin with, spawned directly from Oblivion itself, the Grand Maw, Grandmother. Thankfully, they spend most of their time slumbering in the Labyrinth. However, their dreams alone are enough to direct the Spectres and other forces of Oblivion to consume all.

As to the Onceborn, they are former mortals, very wicked and callous ones in life, typically. Upon death, they did not remain wraiths for long, quickly succumbing to their Shadows to become Spectres, potentially Nephwracks. Via constant exposure to Oblivion, absorbing its essence, these iniquitous beings eventually ascend to become Malfeans as Onceborn. Though less potent than the Neverborn, the Onceborn are no less dangerous.

The Mask of Winters has apparently succeeded in rising to the rank of Malfean. Note that this fragment of him stated that he is the Expressive Soul of the Mask of Winters. It would seem to indicate that, as a Malfean Onceborn, the Mask of Winters has his own soul hierarchy like the Primordials and Yozis do. This fragment of himself, his Expressive Soul, may be the equivalent of a Third Circle Demon, one of his many souls.

The Mask of Winters did weave a rather masterful scheme, to be sure. Such intricate machinations are most beautiful, veritable works of art. Despite the one potential flaw, the group was otherwise playing into his hands. One way or another, their choices would have benefited him and advanced his agenda. This particular plan was merely the culmination of the grand intrigue that was set into motion so long ago.

Ah, the great game of intrigue. So elegant, so exquisite, so exhilarating, so aesthetically pleasing.

[X] Reject the deal

I kinda feel like fighting against overwhelming power and tyranny fits with the Lorgars Rebel Mythos sooooo...
Row! Row! Fight the Power!

Can we turn MoW and the Hekatonkhires into some magical crafting mats?
The shard of Winters is not "here". So no. But the other two? They are up for grabs.

The Shard of Winters just claimed ownership of the planet and the life and souls of all the people on it.

So yeah, he is at max boost right now.

A most elegant intrigue indeed. A sincere round of applause to the Mask of Winters for crafting such a brilliant work of art.

This outcome is typical for the Exalted. It is not a question of whether they can, only whether they should.

It could very well be the end for Fan Morgal and Lorgar, but if so, it will certainly be a dramatic one.

[X] Accept the deal

Kinda want to do it to see how much of a fuck you. we are sending to the chaos god with this.

One of the things that is worth keeping in mind is that Thalessa is a Circle Mate, but she does not really have Circle Mate level powers, this is the chance to make her more than she otherwise would have been and when we chose her it was specifically as someone who was capable of Exaltation. I wonder if we start calling on the Machine God to give us a demigod if it might not instead just throw an Alchemical Exaltation at us.

A demi-goddess of Machine God? The Mechanicum of Mars gonna have a fit and big E has to make some make-up story about her being his demi-goddess since he pretends to be the Machine God to get Mechanicum's support.

Cyclonic torpedoes. It's the only way to be sure.

Mass scatter the planet.

This has sunk cost fallacy written all over it.

Edit: I'm not going to make any comment about the previous vote

Seriously, it's a big galaxy, and we've lost here. Destroy this world and start again elsewhere.

- [X] Use charms and expertise to first move to an orbital dockyard, then build a warp capable ship, then build massive overkill level of planet annihilation devices, then leave and have the planet annihilated behind you.
-- [X] Grant Lorgar and Dharok the sorcery dots required for a self-sacrificial ritual that banishes the Neverborn's influence at any cost up to their own lives and the cost of the entire planet's existence as the cyclonic torpedoes hit.

This world is so much not worth the risk. We should have gone back to Milhand with the Archmagos and killed the world then.

Basically this is a waste of time compared to the opportunity cost.

We're an Infernal Exalted, we don't need any of the crap we've accumulated around us. Let it all burn.

Turn 6 - Destiny's Ascension
Colchis - 831.M30

The weight of the discussion hung heavy in the air, but as your companions busied themselves with preparations, you found yourself drawn into a quiet corner of your thoughts.

You turned your gaze towards the Wound, its dark silhouette looming in the distance. The Shard of Winters had altered it, stripping away the temporal flux that once made it unpredictable and dangerous. Now, it was a place devoid of life and essence, a shadow of its former self. The essence was dead, making it a lifeless zone where no one could respire essence. This change rendered the Wound safer, but at what cost?

A nagging doubt gnawed at you. The Shard of Winters was cunning, manipulative, and always several steps ahead. Offering you the terms he had laid out, allowing your tribe to leave unmolested, offering to teach you Sorcery and Necromancy, felt like a trap. It was too convenient, too generous for a being of his nature.

You could not trust him. You could not allow him to solidify his hold over this world. The Shard of Winters needed to be defeated, not bargained with. Steeling yourself, you began to formulate a plan to bring about his downfall.

Firstly, you needed to understand the full extent of the changes in the Wound. The removal of the temporal flux suggested a stabilization of sorts, but the dead essence posed a unique challenge. Without the ability to respire essence, any efforts to draw power from the environment would be futile.

An idea began to take shape. If the Wound had been rendered safer and more stable, it could serve as a staging ground for your efforts. You could venture into its depths, locate a good place to dream up the ancient terraforming machines' spectral counterparts, and harness their power. By activating these ghostly constructs, you could begin to restore the planet's physical integrity, countering the Shard's corruptive influence.

However, this alone would not be enough. The Shard of Winters was a formidable adversary, and direct confrontation seemed inevitable.

The plan was risky, fraught with uncertainties and dangers, but it felt right. You would reject the Shard's offer, for his terms were nothing more than chains in disguise. You would venture into the Wound, awaken the ghostly terraforming machines, and kill the two Hekatonkhire to banish the Shard of Winters.

You rose from your seat, determination hardening your resolve. Walking over to the campfire, you gathered your companions. Thalissa, Dharok, and Lorgar turned to you, sensing the shift in your demeanor.

"We're not going to accept the Shard's terms," you began, your voice firm. "It's too risky, and I don't trust his intentions. We need to defeat him, not bargain with him."

The camp was silent as your words sank in. The Shard of Winters had given you seven days to decide, with an open-ended promise not to harm you or your people in that time. It was a reprieve, but also a ticking clock.

Lorgar was the first to respond. "Then we need a plan. A way to defeat him and stop this madness."

"We'll need to dream the terraforming machine into existence," you said, pacing as you thought aloud. "We can approach the two Hekatonkhire directly, thanks to the Shard's promise not to harm us. But we need to be strategic. The Shard of Winters is a master manipulator. We have to anticipate his moves."

Thalissa nodded. "If we can stabilize the planet's geology, we can weaken the Shard's influence. But we need to be careful. He's bound to have traps set for us."

"We have seven days. Let's make them count. We'll prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Our priority is to defeat the Shard of Winters and stop this corruption from spreading any further. But first, we need to address Thalassa's ascension," you said, turning to her. "It's a crucial part of our plan. Ascending you as a Demigoddess of the Machine God could give us the tools we need, but we have to decide between a greater or lesser ascension."

Dharok spoke up. "A greater ascension would give her more power, which we might need to combat the Shard of Winters effectively."

You lean forward at that. "The risks are significant. A greater ascension could lead to complications that might take time to solve, time we might not have. But if we go with a lesser ascension, will it be enough to win the fight?"

Lorgar interjected, his voice calm but firm. "We can't afford to make the wrong choice. The Shard of Winters is powerful, and we need every advantage we can get. But we also need to consider the immediate threat versus the long-term consequences."

You nodded. "Exactly. If we choose the greater ascension, Thalassa will have the power we need, but we have to be prepared for any complications that arise. If we go with the lesser ascension, it might be safer, but it could leave us vulnerable."

Thalassa's eyes met yours, her determination clear. "I understand the risks."

Dharok sighed, running a hand through his hair. "We also need to think about the practicalities. The terraforming machines will help, but we need Thalassa's abilities to guide and control them. If she's not powerful enough, it could all be for nothing."

Lorgar nodded. "And we need to consider the essence. The Wound's essence is dead, which complicates everything. Thalassa's power needs to be strong enough to counteract that."

You looked around at your companions, their faces reflecting the weight of the decision. "We need to weigh the immediate threat against the long-term consequences. A greater ascension could give us the power we need, but we have to be ready to deal with any complications that arise. A lesser ascension might be safer, but we can't afford to be underpowered against the Shard."

Thalassa took a deep breath, her resolve unwavering. "I trust you all, and I'll follow whatever decision we make together. But if we're leaning towards the greater ascension, we need to be ready for anything."

Dharok nodded, his expression serious. "We need to gather as much information as we can in these seven days. We need to be prepared for every possible outcome."

Lorgar looked at you, his eyes steady. "We'll make the right choice. We have to. For the sake of our people and our future."

You felt a surge of determination. "Then let's get to work. We won't let the Shard of Winters win."
