Any Insights into cultivating the body to the point it is as hard to destroy as an Artifact would be appreciated.

The rumored lecture on the Balance of Heaven and Earth would be nice! Barring that, I've heard rumors that the esteemed Elder Huo has a sword technique that may be beneficial for Fortune Cultivators!

Turn 13: Ascension is a Terrible Goal!
Ascension is a Terrible Goal!

Cai Delan had finally cleared a portion of his schedule, allowing himself this small luxury with a sigh of relief as he entered this secluded cave on the mountain, he'd been here many times before. As evidenced by the many long cuts carved into the far wall and the well worn path to the his meditation rock.

With the grace of someone who'd stumbled through the dark cave enough times to know everything about the path in front of him he sat down on his favorite large rock and began to speak to nobody.

"Why does everyone talk about Ascension?" He himself asked aloud, "They have to know they won't actually achieve it, nobody has." He kicked a pebble and listened to its echo when it struck the back of the cave as a sigh of satisfaction.

"Are they delusional?" He wondered aloud, "Is one's cultivation improved if you set yourself against an impossible goal? If the Sage Kings themselves haven't ascended then it seems plainly obvious that none of us will ever even come close."

And yet everyone still said it, 'We shall defy the heavens.' They said, like any of them would even reach even five proper steps up the ladder, even the most talented of them would likely reach the Realm of Core Lord and then stop.

There seemingly just weren't enough resources to sustain more than perhaps two Barons and expanding further was… well he didn't actually know the details but he assumed it would be incredibly difficult.

Perhaps it was a fear of death? A delusion of the self that one could escape mortality if they simply trained hard enough.

If so it should have been thoroughly disproven by the event that had robbed the sect of their Baron, his heir, half of the elders, and extracted the same price from almost every other Barony in the area.

Cai Delan held no illusions about his chances, if he was exceedingly lucky he might reach Core Lord but beyond that? There was no doubt he would fail to progress further and eventually die. Probably in battle considering his most recent performance in combat with another cultivator.

Ascension, he concluded, was truly a terrible goal, utterly impossible for anyone not the disciple of The Emperor Himself.

Why then, he asked himself, did he still want to try for it?

Sorry for how short this is, I just kinda had to get it out of my head.

With the incoming news of the Beast Tide's arrival this month, the lecture shall unfortunately be delayed one more month so the disciples are less distracted in this difficult time. My apologies for the inconvenience.

[X] Gan Jia
-[X] Continuing the Journey
--[X] As an honoured guest, you can use the healing facilities for free. You'll still give the healers a gift of 10 Spirit Herbs though to show your gratitude.
-[X] Don't use Qi.

[X] Ding Dong
-[X] Confront the Beast Tide
--[X] Ding Dong will work as quickly as he can building and reinforcing defenses, repairing weapons, and creating traps. Anything that can slow or weaken the coming tide will be just 1 more beast we don't have to fight directly. After the tide hits, Ding will fight on the walls, while keeping an eye of any damage to warn others ahead of possible breaches.
---[X] Peasant Copper sword
---[X] Peasant Copper armor

[X] Wuyin
-[X] Oh dear. Well that happened a lot faster than expected! Time to pick up the sword and have Tien sharpen her claws as Wuyin and Tien go to Confront the Beast Tide. Once more, aim to get an Elemental Advantage with the Red Dew School as much as possible!
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi

[X] Gu Jin
-[X] Evacuation: Gu Jin and his hired assistants will buy as many carts and wagons as is practical, along with animals to draw them, and then set out for the outlying settlements. Once the makeshift caravan reaches a fortified point near the settlements being evacuated, they will leave behind a portion of the livestock so that once they return with the first group of evacuees, any livestock that have tired can be rotated out for a fresh replacement. While traveling, the hunting parties will rotate between one party scouting ahead of the caravan, one party guarding it, and one party resting. The mortals being evacuated will be loaded onto the wagons and carts as passengers so that more ground can be covered each day and the group can work nonstop as long as conditions allow it.
(I'll spend up to 200 spirit stones for the wagons and livestock)
--[X] [Qi] Qi Used 1
--[X] Use 128 merit for 3 Outer Disciple Hunting Parties and 2 Outer Disciple Assistance.

[X] Tan Bo

--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi
-[X] [Elixir] Purchase and consume a Copper Grade Spiritual Meal (-8 Spirit Stones)

@Floom
"Um, H-honorable...Martial Sister, uh, I find myself...bereft of a proper weapon and have heard that you had an extra sword that one may borrow. Uh, under normal circumstances I wouldn't bother you, but may I make use of that blade in this coming beast tide?"

[X] Hawk Cyr
-[X] Action: Confront The Beast Tide
-[X] Hawk Cyr will bring his armor with him...but not his sword. For he wishes to face the coming tide with not but his tempered body. He knows that he hasn't yet reached the next Tier...but that is exactly why he wants to face the monsters with his body, fist, and feet alone. For he believes that, through doing so, he may find some Insight into forging his body into something that could match an Artifact. Though he plans to focus on assisting any other Disciples that may require aid during the battle. Fighting alongside them or rescuing them from certain death or injury.
--[X] [Qi] 1/1 Qi Used
-[X] Spend 20 Merit to request assistance from 5 Outer Disciples

@Floom

"Honorable Sister. I know we haven't spoken in a while. But, considering the upcoming battle...do you think now would be a good time to test the Formation we found some time ago? Or is now not an auspicious enough moment for that?"

Turn 13: Call to Arms (And Hooves)
[X]Luotuo
-[X] Action: Confront The Beast Tide
--[X]Loutuo has just gained a new technique and perfected it with the aid of the illustrious elder nianzhu, this is an oppertunity to use it.
If he encounters a unique beast and in a position to tame it he shall attempt to capture it and tame it with the technique.
In the bustling assembly hall of the Red dew, anticipation crackled in the air like static before a storm. Outer Disciples of varying skills and backgrounds gathered, drawn by the elder's call to confront the imminent beast tide threatening their home.

Already as he entered luotuo could see the many of his fellow disciples planning and preparing in excitment around.

Pan tingfeng the chef was bereft of his usual tools and isntead clad in the artifact sword and armor of his , though from his muttering luotuo could hear him instructing other disciples on how to take down the potential invading beasts including on how to conserve their flesh the best while targeting weaknesses.

He could see Ding Dong the smith pouting over plans for fortifications and weaknesses prepping his tools and materials for the coming fight.
Wuyin of the famous guide was being talked to by Tan Bo in a corner though what they were talking about he didn't know.

And of course he could still see many more of his fellows pouring in from outside ready to take on the mission , regardless of the weakeness they might have had as mere peasents.

Luotuo , his sword on his back approached the overseeing disciple and wrote his name on the sheet
"Just tell me where to lend my blade senior brother , and i shall gladly pu it to use"he delclared to him , after all
the sect has protected them for so long luotuo was going to do what he could to pay them even a little back.

Feels a bit worse then usuall but still here the omake for turn 13

[X] Changjian Twins' and Friends!
-[X] Action: Continuing the Journey, the twins and their fellow disciples continue following Elder Mei to another Sect, bidding farewell to the disciples of the Golden Harvest Sect as they trekked to their next destination...
--[X] [Qi] 1 Qi Used. (Tempered Heart)
-[X] Market (Golden Harvest Sect Market), -...though before the twins departed, it seems like they manage to procure a peculiar Artifact that will likely be of great aid to them...
--[X] Sell: 1 Jade Claw Sect Market's 'Poetry' (27 Peasant Spirit Stones), though first, they will need to let go of one of their poetry souvenirs for their clique who were left behind at the Sect who didn't tag along for 27 Peasant Spirit Stones in a barter...-
--[X] Buy: 1 Lunar-Attribute Peasant Artifact (400 Peasant Spirit Stones), -...and procuring with the help of a new found acquaintance amongst the more mercantile-focused disciples of Golden Harvest Sect disciples, having been told to gather as much Spirit Stones as they can for a supposed auction for Peasants only, but it seems like there have been some complications of sorts from another group of disciples that the twins will not yet know the full reason as to why until a later fateful day in the future.

Roll Resulted into 35% Profit from Selling Jade Claw Sect Market's Poetry: (20 x 1.35 = 27).

Tidbit later to be EDITed here since I forgot to ask Arcane something concerning a group of disiciples! So action post for now!
