Yeah, I don't feel like extra credit is one of our priorities as Mariana. It's nice to get good grades sure, and I don't recommend just sliding by we should still try, but we're already busy enough. Erika can be top student if she wants. We've got people to bond with, battles to prepare for, and team members to train.

By the by, speaking of goals and KNOW, how do we feel about getting Erika to learn the sealing spell and going on a special summer vacation with her eventually? We can get her to train one of her own pokemon or one of ours. This would entail getting her Bond up, but we have all year for that.

Its only Elise who cares about S rank, since she's the 'protagonist'.

Making it possible for her to get S rank probably gives extra progress on bond with her.
Ok but its a group grade for each of us. So if Elise is wants that S-Rank it means we have to get that S-Rank.

Also to make my opinion clear: I want that S-Rank. (EDIT: Also I'm like 80% sure Mariana would want the S-Rank too given her whole.... "I need to not let anyone down ever" situation. Missing the S-Rank would be letting down her group as well as tribe, or she'd see it that way atleast.)

You know, I'm willing to aim for a Tinkatink or Charcadet eventually. But right now?

I think my mind has become set on the Teddiursa. It just seems...fitting.

Yes please. Definitely on board with this.

Don't feel strongly about whether we go for S-Rank or not.

Taking Erika with us also means that if mess around with the Stakes and find out then turn a bit evil we can dramatically say "Don't worry, I'm fine." even as the camera pans to our eyes as they flash a supernatural colour. Perfect flashback opportunity for when Elise talks to Erika about our summer vacation and speaks of her worry.

Will our Ash Arc ever be likely to happen? Probably not, but it would be very cool from a narrative perspective. Not sure I like our odds of Killing The Vile One though. Although I guess the Treasures of Ruin could set us off on a different goal, or just make us generically evil. Or not make us evil at all because I'm making shit up here.

Naturally the effect of getting too close to the Treasures of Ruin will depend on the Treasure in question.

Wo-Chien is made of grudges, so it'd strengthen our grudge against Raifort.

Chien-Pao is made of hatred, so it'd strengthen our hatred of Raifort.

Ting-Lu is made of Fear, so it'd ruin the bit I've got going with the last two and amplify our fear of failure. (Amplify our fear of not being able to save Ostia from Raifort?)

Chi-Yu is made of Envy, so it'd amplify our envy of Nemona. (Envy of her power to defeat Raifort!)

All four of these influences will, naturally, lead to us releasing the inciting Treasure so we have the power to kill Raifort, kill Raifort, not fail anymore, or defeat Nemona.

No see it's more fun if we spend the time secretly learning the sealing spell, going around and reinforcing a few of them, and generally having a solo arc of learning to be an exorcist or whatever. Then, when Plot happens and somebody is using a Treasure or a Stake connected to one for evil things, we can step up and be the surprise trump card by no-selling/sealing it away, preferably in a dramatic manner of saving Erika at the last moment, like a big damn hero.

As for the vote....I'm for getting the exploration stuff out of the way to make the rest of the week easier, and then depending on what exactly happens going and getting a new Pokemon (Nacli!) day 2.

[X] Shopping and catching Charcadet
-[X] Cortondo Cart
-[X] Going into Tall Grass (Badajoz Ruins)

Moratorium is up.

While others may be swayed to other mons (and I don't hate them except Tinkatink because our family heirloom is not a item to give to a pokemon we got because we fangirled over it at a festival.) I still want to catch a Charcadet, and if we're going to why not now? Shopping to get the healing items we'll need for the week aswell.

-[X] When in Rime
-[X] Cortondo Cart

Doing the two actions that give us bonuses for the rest of the week so we can rock the exercises for better rewards. Because we do get rewards for doing well in the exercises, and we can get better options on Pokémon if we wait until later in the week. We still have 2 more days to get started on signing up for the gym, too, so that can also wait.

Even if we got a Tinkatink, I wouldn't want to give it the knife.

That's just Skarmory metal. If we're aiming to catch the sun we should search for better.

There's gonna be whole battalions of Pawniard, that'll be great for entry level. And when she's a Tinkatuff we can go back for the Bisharp.

Just... don't tell Ostia.

Prepare For Trouble was right there
If we did that we'd be legally obligated to do the exact same plan next week.

Whatever we need to do to protect the world from devastation.
