Hmmm. Looking at the threadmarked calendar, our base schedule up to FE3 is:
3 normal weeks
1 week for FE1
3 normal weeks
1 week for FE2
3 normal weeks
1 week for FE3

We'd need 2+3+5=10 bonding points to get Espurr to Bond 3, which might not be possible before FE3 if we can only do 1 a week. @ArvisPresley Will we get the option to do Bonding events during Field excercises?

...so it is possible to get them to a level where they'll fight with us for FE3, but we'd only be able to miss one week for socialising with them. If we aim for FE4 instead, we'd have an extra 5 weeks (FE3 and 4 normal weeks) to fit in the socialisation actions, which is a lot less pressure on our AP.

I'm a fan of Espurr because it's encouraging us to play a little slow like old man Jenkins told us!

...Even if that's at the cost of Mariana's slowly building anxiety over not doing enough fast enough.

She can still fight for us if we decide to... say... look into signs of an evil lab and get in a little over our head.

Really, it might be difficult to stop her from fighting anyone we end up against in those circumstances.

I wouldn't mind the rat, it
...We having pressing AP sinks?
Most of our AP sinks right now are "Train, Study, Explore." Train can be done whenever, and will basically be done now until forever, study as someone suggested, only needs to be done twice (2AP) and then passive KNOW gain can light the rest of the way, and then Explore is only important for 8 more AP and then doesn't become that pressing anymore.

Point being, we have at least 5 AP to spare on an Espurr aha.

We need to work to make some bucks and I feel that'll be a big AP sink for a while.

A bit of a subject change since no one really talked about it yet(?), does anyone think we'll meet Kali at the first Field Exercise? Asking because I kind of want to see her and Erika interact.

Depends where the FE takes us. If we're going to Cortondo like some theorize then I don't think we'll see Kali just yet. Future FE though for sure, just not sure which one she'll pop up at.

That does make it a bit more AP intensive but even then its like...
Week 2 - Study, Ranger, Espurr
Week 3 - Study, Explore, Class Pet AP (LP Income!)
Week 4 - Ranger, Espurr, Train

Keeping in mind that Ranger actions will almost certainly be a source of income, but also might provide PROW, or another form of EXP. Class Pet gives League Points which is still a form of income gain for that week, and then next month we can go back to ignoring KNOW a tad for more training and exploring~

Please do not take my example plan as an actual suggestion. It's just to show that there's plenty of options based on wants right now, you could shuffle it around and it'd still serve the same purpose.

We also need to train Roland and get into more battles, especially now we're at a first-badge strength and can practise outside the academy. That is a greater priority than studying - Keeping in reach of Nemona will be alot more important that our academic performance to our future.

I definitely think training is more important than studying atm, make Maranna feel better and helps us chase the sun

Hopefully we can find Pokemon on Ranger actions as well as explore actions; it would be nice to have more options to look for teammates.

Speaking of, what do people want to get for our third? It looks like either Espurr or Shuppet will win, so a Fighting-type to use against Dark-types would be a good fit.

If we're going over only fighting types, either Mankey or Clobbopus. Sure, the former would lose the dark resist on evolving to Annihilape, but it is a powerful pokemon. The reason for suggesting the latter is that its fighting style is similar to Andosin (Mongolian) wrestling.
