I kinda wish plans were focused more on bonding with Roland than making him stronger, as a dragon we should really get him to listen to us first.

I'm thinking at least for the first week we should make sure we talk to our two new friends. My plans for the social link actions in the following weeks is to go Roland plus a rotating cast of who our friends our. Maybe once Roland goes up a tier we can go for a full friend turn like this one, them back to Roland+Friend.

And I get that, but I just wish we had a Roland Bond action rather than training his move experience for instance.

The good news is we got two levels of Roland Bond out of the prologue, so I don't think we're behind the curve on that yet. I definitely don't think it'll have to be an every turn thing even if he is a hilariously neurotic Pseudo.

We are going to have other Pokemon to befriend aswell, especially if we rush for our second mon like many want to. But on the other hand, maybe the Tramua of the main plot will be a bonding experience!

To be fair the soonest we can get the other Pokemon, there will be more time to train it. Maybe in one of those Ranger actions there may be a chance to get something interesting? In a future turn, of course.

[x] Plan Establishing One's Self
[x] Plan: Building Minds and Building Bonds

"The battlemania is cute now, but Dragons and Dragon-like Pokemon are infamous for refusing to fight battles that they think are beneath them or fighting in ways they don't like." You frown. That would be a problem in the future. Roland is already kind of a brat now; you should ask Jenkins how he trained a dragon at some point.

"What about you, Miss Fairy Type Starter?" Just as notorious to train and raise are fairy types. While Dragons can be temperamental and egotistic, Fairies are infamous for being mercurial and holding grudges. Out of any Pokemon type, Fairies are the ones who despise being captured against their will the most.

"I'm not worried. Cornelia is basically my sister; we were raised together." At that, Cornelia floats towards Erika and settles themselves on her lap. Right, fairies are also some of the most unflinchingly loyal Pokemon if they do like their trainer. Same with dragons, though they still maintain their ego issues.

This makes me think that if we don't have a sufficient bond level with the more temperamental pokemon, then when we have the minor and major battles there will be a malus in our rolls, like a hidden mechanic

I'm not getting any hits on the opera company or Dorothea, so that's probably a changed set of names or we're pulling in references I'm unfamiliar with

I'm not sure about the opera company's name, but I'm fairly certain this Dorothea is a version of Dorothea Arnault from Fire Emblem Three Houses who's been adopted by Manuela Casagranda from the same game.

anyways

[X] Plan Establishing One's Self

[] Purchasing Power: One of the Advantages of being a student in Mesagoza Academy (aside from the student discount) is that unlike regular Trainers on their journey, You don't have to trudge through the routes to get from settlement to settlement. This does mean that there isn't a need for healing items and traveling gear outside of Field Exercises. But it doesn't hurt to be prepared. You never know when that potion is the difference between victory or defeat. -1 AP
  • Start a Mini Turn buying items
  • Current Cash: Pokedollars 10,000
  • Available items depend on locations in Mesagoza unlocked
Another reason to do more exploration actions is they increase item variety when we go shopping. Not an immediate need, but it'll be helpful eventually!

If Establishing One's Self wins, then next week's plan should probably be a Library action, a Ranger mission, and You Can't Run from a Trainer Battle. Get more KNOW XP, more money and if we're lucky a lead on another pokemon, and more Pokemon/move XP to boost Roland. It also gets us a bit closer to SKLL 13.

The Library+City votes are split and would be a close second if they consolidated. I'm not sure if adding in the library no city faction would push it over.

"I genuinely don't remember. I feel like I got dumber in the weeks after I took it."
LOL! Totally our fault.

[X] Plan Highlander Entrance(Alternatively, Redheaded Barbarian Part II)
-[X] You Can't Run from a Trainer Battle: The battling Arenas at Rodrigo Hall are both numerous and massive. Since it's still early in the school year, the gap between the various students in the same year isn't quite big yet. Get your and your Pokemon's blood pumping with a good battle. -1 AP
-[X] You Can't Run from a Battle Between Trainers: Apparently the school has a dueling arena. Not for Pokemon but for Humans. Where the students can pick up wooden spears and sticks to beat each other over with. You might be simplifying things but it'll be a way to keep yourself fit and sharp. -1 AP
-[X] Advanced BATTLE: A Pokemon Journey is a multi year long process. Most Trainers get one badge and then struggle for years getting a second. Half of all Paldean Trainers quit around the third Gym. Only a tenth make it to the seventh Gym. There are no shortages of Trainers with only one Badge hanging around in Mesagoza. Many of them go to Battle Arenas in Mesagoza proper to prepare themselves for the League Circuit opening up in August. You can challenge them, you're absolutely going to lose but there's no better way to reveal your weakness than having them ruthlessly exploited. -1 AP
-
[X] Ostia and Argy:
They seem to be doing better now than when you last saw them during your first day together. They're inviting you to go out and eat with them in Mesagoza. They seem really enthusiastic about all the restaurants and eateries in the city. Their treat of course. Next to them Argy stares at you like they always do. Improve Bond with Ostia and Argy. 0/3 to Bond 2
-[X] Erika:
She has cordially invited you to join her in perusing the older sections of the Academy's libraries with her. She seems interested in myths, histories and legends from around the period of the Paldean Dark Ages. She even managed to find a couple manuscripts written in Old Andosin. Any reason to practice your Andosin is a good reason in your eyes. Improve Bond with Erika. 0/3 to Bond 2

Probably too late for this, and it's not the smartest plan, but we are dumb, and we have Skill 12 and Prowess 11, so a 60% chance to beat nobles (40% chance to do very well) and a 65% chance to win in the arena (45% chance to do very well). Advanced battle probably is a bit early, but figuring out issues in our plan early has its merits.

Also, this just seems funny to me for a Linde looking person to do.
